the landscape here was fractured, broken; it seemed to be burning from the inside out. the smoke hung heavy in the spring air, seeping through the filtering rays of the milding sun. it's only a small break in the near-constant storms but even below, the ground seemed far too warm to be normal. when he'd come out adventuring, he had no idea what he would find -- he hadn't been looking for anything in particular, yet he feels drawn to this place. it's quiet in an eerie way, as if the low-lying smoke is blocking out the extra sounds. the land is ugly and scarred yet still he lingers. certainly there would be something interesting to find here among the smoke and smog, but rameses wasn't sure if he wanted to find anything. sometimes it was simply better to just be -- and where better to be than among a smoldering ruin? it was all delightfully poetic and despite himself, he finds himself enjoying it -- letting ash and ruined grass crunch beneath heavy paws as he lumbers forward. intrigued, and ever curious.

Summer
Summer is in full swing now, with clear skies, warm nights, and ample sunshine! As such, the deserts begin to grow dry, the shores remain a blissful escape, the north is spared with cooling winds, and humidity continues to rise in the jungle. Rain and storms are long forgotten troubles by now, which is both a virtue and a vice during the heat of the season.

All the most powerful emotions come from chaos -fear,anger,love- especially love. Love is chaos itself. Think about it! Love makes no sense. It shakes you up and spins you around. And then, eventually , it falls apart.

The East had quickly grown boring, the North too cold to explore until Summer. So I had cut across and down, carefully avoiding Pride areas. Drawn by the smell of fire and decay, I made my way into the badlands. This place was fascinating, just the chaos of it all. Like it could blow at any moment. Thrilling honestly. I had gleefully rolled about in the ash as soon as I entered the area, masking both my scent and my natural color.
I moved like darkness, slipping through the stacks stealthily. Quite enjoying being the most alive thing amongst the decay. The smell of burning beneath the surface blocked out everything else, the place a vacuum of sorts. Even the sounds of the earth beneath one's feet seemed not to exist. Which is probably why it was so easy to suddenly find myself standing behind the gray man with no warning. It was surreal honestly, as if we had both existed in a separate time and place, and I had crossed over into his without warning. Chuffing, I made myself known, standing tall and unafraid of the man as I peered at him through green eyes set in a soot covered head.
