Kasia had taken to exploring her new home. Turned out a hollow was not a mountain but it was inside a mountain. Still there were rocks and that was good enough. Granted her brothers wouldn't be able to see her cairn hidden inside of the mountain. She would just have to put it at the entrance to the cavern system so they would be able to find her. The Sovereign had said her brothers were allowed to come here. They simply needed to know where she was at so that they could come.

It was with this idea in mind that she had started to transport rocks. Of course she had to have the black, shiny ones. There was also a black one with white spots, she didn't usually do spots but how could she not with a stone this pretty? Oh,a black one with brown stripes, she simply had to have the striped rock! A green one because some color was needed. And just when she thought she was done collecting she found a piece of rainbow obsidian, multi striped in varying colors.

With all all of her rocks collected the ridge backed lioness carried her stone collection in her mouth to the entrance of the Hollows that overlooked the Badlands. She placed down the stones and started to build her cairn. The stack began with the shiny black obsidian on the bottom.

If anything was certain the Hollows Gentry wasn't necessarily a 'people person'. She kept to her own and didn't necessarily enjoy going out of her way to interact with others, but nonetheless she still did what she could to help Magnus and this pride he had formed. There were good days and bad days but it seemed lately Brigid was filled with bad days. Hakon had become more and more sparse and of course Brigid thought of abandonment, she worried that he too had left her like her first husband had. It was a fear that Brigid didn't want to speak out loud but with Sidonie having gone missing Brigid couldn't help but wonder if Hakon had somehow suffered the same fate. No, surely he couldn't have. He was strong, capable, an adept fighter. He could defend himself and would defend himself .. so if he wasn't taken then where was he? She huffed to herself as she navigated through the dark tunnels, her irritation palpable until the scent of another reached her. This one was unfamiliar, or at least one she hadn't met yet. "And who might you be?" Her voice carried out, curt and to the point. Might as well figure out who was in her vicinity, it's not like she could see her and her pile of rocks. @Kasia +5 - Learn a character's full name and rank

"Hollow speak?" It wasn't an entirely unheard of scenario. And since Brigid couldn't see her that meant Kasia couldn't seen Brigid in return. So of course the only logical solution was that the mountain had decided to speak to her. Or else just a deity in mountain form. It all worked out the same in Kasia's mind.

"Kasia Durinn. I new here Hollow. Build cairn for brothers to follow." After all Magnus had said that he brothers were allowed. She only need to find some way of letting them know how to find her. Cairns were their method of communication. She had to let her family know that she was alive and well and this was simply how it was done.

'Hollow speak? Kasia Durinn. I new here Hollow. Build cairn for brothers to follow.' An ear flicked as she listened to the newcomer talk and she did speak in an interesting manner didn't she? From the sound of things she couldn't see her which made Brigid curious, was she blind also or simply just couldn't see because she was still within the cover of the dark caverns? Brigid moved a few paces forward, enough so that the sun would gently peek onto her pelt, revealing her face and glassy gaze. "Not the Hollows, Brigid. I'm the Gentry here." She informed Kasia before moving further from the shadows to take a seat only a few paces from the lioness. "A cairn? You leaving them a marking of some sort then?" Brigid asked her then, meanwhile she rose, taking a few strides as she inhaled and exhaled, surveying the borders for a few moments. Brigid didn't normally patrol but she figured if she was out here she might as well make herself useful right? It wasn't long though before she turned her ears backwards so she could listen to Kasia whenever she supplied an answer. @Kasia +10 - Learn a character's full name and rank +10 - Patrol the border

A lioness appeared out of the darkness of the caves and came into the light filtering in at the entrance. Brigid, or so she introduced herself as. "Brigid. Gentry. What Gentry?" Name and rank were repeated before the question presented herself. She was new to this sort of ranking system. For it to be announced it had to be important, right? And if it was important then she simply must know what it was and what it meant.

"You know cairn?" Accented voice spoke and nodded to the small stack of stones that she had piled up. "Should be on high point for all to see. Show where you been and you are safe." The entrance was the high point to the Hollows though. This was the best spot to leave her marker for her brothers to find.

She moves closer despite not being able to see the young Kasia, she can instead hear her breathing and smell her which was good enough for her. The blind woman paid particularly close attention to the ground beneath her, if there was a shift she would be able to feel it in her toes. She didn't need sight to keep tabs on someone, that much was evident. "Brigid. Gentry. What gentry?" Her accent is interesting, one that Brigid just can't place - it wasn't necessarily one that she had heard before which was intriguing to Brigid. "It's a special rank you get in a pride .. means I can bring others here, boss people around if I feel like it. That sort of stuff." She offered to Kasia blandly before moving to take a seat further in the sunshine. It felt good on her face and fur, it had been too long that she had been cooped up with the dark caverns. "You know cairn? Should be on high point for all to see. Show where you been and you are safe." "No I'm not familiar.. but by the sounds of it I could tell you were building something by all the clicking and clanking." She offered to her then before falling silent for a moment. "How many brothers do you have?" She wondered then and at least she would be able to keep a metaphorical eye out for them should they decide to come this way. @Kasia

"Is a Jarl then." At least that was the closest that she could class it. The Jarls were the ones with power. They were the ones with social status and some sort of standing in the community. They were the ones that were listened to. Of course she was only used to three classes; the jarls, those whom has authority and respect, the karls, those whom made up most of the populace, and the thralls, those whom had been enslaved in some fashion.

"Why no look? I pick really pretty rocks." Kasia was proud of her finds but having the other woman ignore her cairn made her wonder if she had made the wrongs choices. Would her brothers not like it? Sure, they lacked in color some as she mostly could only find obsidian to build her cairn with. But she had attempted to gather stand out pieces.

"Gots two brothers. Kvasir and Asmund. Also got cousins that like older brothers because they bossy." And they had been raised close enough together to feel like immediate kin.

Her ears craned toward Kasia then, intently listening despite the fact that she could not see her. "Is a Jarl then." Kasia offered and Brigid chuckled, it was almost sweet how naïve she was, but this was probably just a simple mistake on her part. "Around here, no. The Jarl to the Sigruns is head of the family, I'm far from that. In this pride I'm a higher ranked member .. but not like a Jarl. You were close though in your suspicions." She offered to her, not wanting to take the wind out of her sails after all. "Why no look? I pick really pretty rocks." Her next question caused Brigid to turn her head so she could hopefully cast her blind gaze towards her, "It's not intentional. I can't see, but I'm sure they are beautiful." She offered to her then, moving so she could scoot a bit closer to Kasia. This time though she lowered her muzzle towards the ground, reaching outward to sniff the rocks gently before pushing one just a smidge higher on the pile. "There." She said simply before retracting once more, gaze returned to the general vicinity of Kasia. "Gots two brothers. Kvasir and Asmund. Also got cousins that like older brothers because they bossy." "Well I'll be sure to watch out for these bossy siblings of yours. You should start bossing them around for a change you know.." She said to her with a smirk, after all most of the time men didn't know what to do when a woman made her strengths known. @Kasia

"Jarl has power, karl does not." And to her that really was only difference in the classes. A karl had a chance of becoming a jarl through proving themselves. Most often jarls were passed through blood though. Her cousins were the ones closer to jarls. But maybe someday she could get to jarl level herself. It would be nice to be able to tell others what to do and actually have them listen to her.

Kasia was surprised to learn that Brigid couldn't see. She had never met anyone like that before. "What happen? Why you no see? Bad fight? Get hurt?" Perhaps someone had blinded her in a fight. Kasia could imagine the glorious battle now. Brigid fighting her hardest and some sneak pulling a dirty trick to blind the lioness.

"I try! I tell them no get dirty and they get dirty and stinky anyway. I tell them listen me get food. They do what want." Kasia wasn't built to be a fighter but she excelled in hunting. She had the speed needed to run down prey. All her brothers had to do was grab it when she sent it towards them but that didn't always work.
