The wheat healer was getting used to her role slowly but surely everyday felt more natural to her. Between tending to Finn, and @Aarani as well as the others the lioness was budding. Becoming her own in her own skin she didn’t feel as nervous anymore. Today were as the sky look dreary there was peace in her heart. At least for the moment as she made her way around to the den that Aarani had been in with her little ones. In her jaws hung a freshly caught hare as well as she herbs she had gathered in case the pale lioness needed to restock. Stopping at the den entrance she placed the rabbit on the ground and politely spoke. “Hello Aarani. Are you awake? I have food and some herbs for you.” Soft words left her lips not shyly like normal, but calmly and smoothly. If the new mother was asleep she didn’t wish to startle her.

Aarani was comfortable for the first time in many, many weeks. She felt secure in her home and relaxed whenever she stepped outside the den, a luxury that she had not experienced in quite some time. It certainly didn't hurt that she and Oberon had grown so close, nor that he was being such a gentleman when it came to partaking in the lives of her cubs. Soon enough they would be old enough to visit with their biological father at the borders and she was surprisingly excited at the possibility. Would he even think to come, though? Rani didn't know, but she could hope. Vine knew where she was and where the cubs were, she couldn't imagine he would stay away for very long.

A voice stole her attention from the mewling cubs by her side. @Inez, the healer Oberon had suggested she train up if possible. First things first, however, she would happily play the part of patient.

"Oh yes, we're all awake here. Come on in, food sounds delicious." The woman ran her claws through the curls of her mane, brushing it to the best of her ability. Just because she was a new mother didn't mean she had to look like a new mother.

Standing ready at the entrance of the den the wheat healer was happy to hear that the new mother was awake and willing to allow her to enter. Gently picking up the food and the bundle of herbs she had she entered slowly her orange and yellow eyes following on the precious cubs first before quickly turning to their mother. Moving toward @Aarani she placed all she had down within reach of the lioness and smiled.

“And how are we all doing today?” She questioned politely. “Any problems arising?” Problems like headaches, being really dizzy, mama already missing toes? Or maybe she had already decided to sacrifice Oberon’s toes first. Ah the baby looks so delightful and she wanted some herself, it teething was going to be interesting. Their make it though just hopefully no one loses a toe or tail or even ear.

To be quite honest, Rani was appreciative of another healer being in the pride. As terrible as it was to say, the other members were nowhere near as important as her own cubs. If she had needed to choose between her babies and another member of the pride, well.. it was a good thing Inez was around. She was, and always had been, a mother before anything else -- healer included.

Well, anyway.

"We're all doing well. Starting to get fussy because our teeth are starting to come in," she said with a soft laugh. "Nothing unusual that I've noticed. What do you think?" Aarani wiggled to give her a better view of the squirming babes, curious to see if she could find anything abnormal. She doubted it, but.. well, consider it her attempt at training. Oberon had asked and she would happily oblige.

The wheat healer hadn’t known that @Aarani had been a Lead Medic before let a lone a Queen. Nor did it really matter she liked the pale mother and she would like her even if Oberon had demoted herself and given the rank to the lady he loved. As Scilla King it would have been well within his rights. In any case Inez was happy that the lioness and her cubs had officially joined the pride.

Hearing that the little ones were starting to get fussy from teeth coming in she smiled. “Oh I shall make sure to get some more cobwebs and leaves to band-aid everyone up.” She cooed softly as she looked at everyone. “Nothing looks out of normal. I’ll have to see if I can find something to help with their pain. Maybe some toys even to chew on.” She commented softly before moving away. Looking at Aarani she looked at her with gentle eyes. “The look healthy to me, I can tell you are a good mother. I do need to ask how are you doing? Mentally taking care of cubs can be a bit tiring. I think that is the word. If you need a break to stretch your legs please don’t be shy about asking. I’d be happy to cub sit.” She offered wanting to make sure the woman knew this den shouldn’t be a prison.

Aarani certainly had no issues with @Inez and her suggestion. The cubs would certainly benefit from having things to chew on that weren't body parts, and she flicked her tail to pull the tuft from one of their mouths. Case and point. She really didn't need to lose any toes or fur, so why not gratefully accept some chew things? "That would be lovely. Sticks with the bark stripped might be a good start since it will still be soft, and then when they're adult teeth start coming in we may want to collect some horns or bones." Rani's favorite chew toy had always been an eland's antler, so perhaps she could find one of those in the coming weeks.

She straightened up a bit as things turned a bit more serious. Well, that was certainly unexpected.

"I am.. exhausted, to be quite honest. Exhausted and emotionally drained, but I am.. healing, I believe. Having a stable home environment has done wonders. I'm afraid to leave them for too long, though, on the off chance something were to happen. There's a bit of separation anxiety, I suppose, though it's not surprising given.. everything." Having her cubs split apart in order to protect them, trying to relocate them, doing what she could. It was chaotic.
