she all but dances down the shoreline, dainty paws hardly making an impression on the sand behind her. yet she's looking forward, though the ocean steals her attention rather quickly. tali's never seen a place quite like this -- the water stretches out far into the horizon, past where she can see. the beach, too, seems an endless thing, this island rolling out the red carpet just for her. and who was she to ignore it? a gentle laugh rumbles from her throat as she throws herself forward, racing down the sands with no target in mind. she enjoys the sand squishing between her toes, the sharp tinge of sea-salt burning in her nostrils. it's new and so it's exciting, and the girl has no qualms in enjoying every second of it. finally she skids to a stop, her path veering until her toes brush against the shoreline, and she laughs. loud and delighted, her little sides heaving with effort, eyes bright.

This new land had promise and the young Vox Emperor smiled as he stood looking out at the sea. His head high as he scanned the area. Watching the waves roll up and down, forward and back he stood very interested in it. Shaking his mane out as he breathed in the salty air a scent danced to his nose mixed with the salty air. “Mmmm, something smells delightful.” He chuffed as his gaze was pulled away from the ocean’s waves. Following the scent he soon heard the sound of someone happily giggling which excited him. Hearing someone enjoying themselves in this new land brought hope to his that he and his family once they arrive shall be able to find happiness here as well. Scanning around at last Fikhar spotted the source of the laugh he had heard before. Or so he assumed so as he spotted @Talitha. “Hello my dear! Enjoying a fine day at the beach?” He chuffed calling out to her politely stopping a few feet away. |
her heart races in her chest, a wild and pounding thing. it's enough to leave her dizzy and more than a little breathless, but tali pays no mind. instead she looks towards the ocean, where the horizon vanishes into its depths; she looks towards the shallower bits that are easier to manage, where she can no longer see the sand beneath the waves. a thought strikes her to paddle out and see how far she can go until the waters swallow her up, but she pays it little mind — instead, she lingers in the safety of the shoreline, delighting in wet sand beneath her toes and the waves gently lapping at the top of them. her laugh, when it comes again, is just as breathless as she feels, and the sound doesn't splinter when he speaks.
her attention snaps to him though, eyes going wide with an expression that could easily be mistaken for surprise. nervous, even. but then she smiles, lips tilting wide, and only laughs again — petite features twisting up now to be sheepish, pulling her shoulders inward just a little. she hadn't noticed @fikhar or his approach until he stands before her now, large and broad, his polite words ringing in her ears. oh, yes! she answers quickly, easily. it's the honest truth and she kneads the wet sand below her, as if to prove her words. this place is so beautiful — i've never seen anything like it before! she says, her wide smile forcing her cheeks to dimple, as she looks at him. the white of his fur is shocking against the red of his mane, and his eyes, like hers, are separate colors. a large scar bisects his face, someone's claw having lavished his left cheek with cruel attention. her heart aches to see it, no matter how long the wound's been healed for; any pain, truly, was too much. she takes a step forward, towards him, puppy-dog expression following easily. is this where you live? oh, if it was, then he was a lucky man indeed!
