The Casales carried onwards to the northeast, insistent on getting a better look on what was out in this new land that they had come to. It was no home, of course, but he was going to do what he could to get a feel for this place. Taking up a brisk jog across the land as dirt became sand gradually until he made it to an open expanse of ocean. A place that he had heard of many times but hadn't seen very often in his lifetime, admiring its beauty if only for a second before gazing around.

The shore was vacant of any large or otherwise immediately visible animals, offering Jafar the opportunity to help himself. Rolling shoulders and stretching his legs out, the large brute began a slow pace across the beach as he exercised his somewhat dormant muscles. His brothers made decent sparring partners every now and then but any chance to exercise by means of a quick jog or a sprint, he would take it. Keeping on his paws, his mind active and his blood pumping was a good way to stay in shape.

It had been some time since he last visited the shorelines that graced the borders of the landscape here. His eyes floated around the sea board before coming to halt at the top of the black dunes behind him. His body turned to watch the dark dust kicking up at the ocean air. Hmm. He was enjoying learning more about this beachy area, the towering dark pillared rocks to his left seemed neat to check out, that was until the padder of someone's feet against the moist dirt caught his attention. Vasilis was already in a weird stride-like pace to head to the tall pillars, and when he landed on the male behind him, just far enough to pinpoint it was another lion - he grins. Ooo this would be fun yes? The man was jogging himself at a good pace himself and Vasilis instantly felt like seeing what the man would do.

Looking over his shoulder at @Jafar not far behind, Vasilis would put his legs into gear, striding them out like a horse as if to say 'hey! you! let's dance!' his eyes daring the other to see if he could catch up to where he was ahead of him. But would this lion decide to take the bait and make a run for it? Could he get the lion to race him to the pillars? He wasn't sure. So every now and then again he would pick up the pace and spread of his limbs from his body, egging the lion on.

The beach was a beautiful place to be but the Casales definitely preferred something a little more forested. A little more shaded but it had its perks just as any other place would and so he had no trouble taking a brisk jog across the sands. It took half a minute to get his footing to recognize the sand's changes with his steps but eventually he fell into a rhythm and found his balance. Only then did his eyes catch another, blonder fellow, and put two and two together.

Purple eyes watching him strut his legs forward and he considered the pros and cons. Weighing in quickly on whether or not it was a fool's idea before deciding that he didn't much care for consequences or weighing them. So, he picked up his pace and attempted to make the distance between them. Jafar didn't want to exert all his energy just getting to @Vasilis so he reserved most of his speed for the longer mile. Once getting close, attempting to determine if he was meant to slow down so that they could start together or if he was meant to simply continue and the other begin.

When @Jafar decided to pick up and meet the space between them, Vasilis smiled proudly and wide. He chuckled under his breath and as the sea kissed his lips with the salty air he called out "Care to test those legs?" he shouted out as he paced himself forward. "see how far they go hmm? Head to the tall black stone pillars." he winked. He waited a few more minutes before speaking again " Beat ya there!" could he? Or would he? that was the question in his mind.

He waited till the man was just close enough before sending his body into action. Vasilis then gripped his toes into the earth, shattering a splatter of dirt off behind his wake as he decided to allow his muscles to pinch and send him flying. He turned his head forward, not daring to look behind him to even see if the man decided he wanted to do this small running test. If he did he would find out when they got to the Pillars if the man had followed or not.

Jafar was cautious but listening as the blonde male initiated the race, explaining to head to the tall black stone pillars. It took no time to realize that @Vasilis intended to beat him there and make this a challenging race to which Jafar picked up his pace now that the other was making his mad dash. Bright purple eyes squinted and his head lowered as he made his own haste towards the black stone pillars in the distance. A solid point that would make for a good finish line and he could already see himself moving to it with great speed and placing a paw upon it.

Jafar made good time as he came head-to-head with the blonde, fighting to stay at an even pace for now and conserving as much energy as he could to at least stay in this spot. It was hard to say whether or not this stranger was any sort of athlete but Jafar practiced often, made sure to stay in shape so he knew he had a good leg in.

They ran and ran they did. Vasilis would give up a few paces just to see how and for long could this man run, And @Jafar didn't stop either and boy was he fast. It reminded Vasilis that he too needed to pick up on the physical training of his body because this lion was picking up the dust trail of the beach. Sprinting head to head he smiled. Minutes flew by like a sun in his dream - soaring as he ran beside the other man. They continued until the black rocky pillars were dead ahead, it felt as though his lungs were squeezing all the life force out of them with each stomp and pace his limbs carried him. Forward they went, and soon they would reach it - but as they neared Vasilis's body started to finally show its strains.

He dulls his pace but not so fast that he falls behind immediately, he lurks just at the hips before finally feeling the fire in his throat and chest. Shit shit shit. He had lost! When the end was near he slowly ended his pace - trotting before coming to a halt to take in a deep breath and hold it a moment before releasing it out his nose. He did this repeatedly before smiling at the man he raced with "Those legs will take you everywhere Sir." he stated before sitting down to let his heart calm down.

Without a whole lot of separate responsibilities in his life as of late, he had had multiple opportunities to stretch his physical self. Able to run long distances and keep up on his training, wanting nothing more than to truly succeed in this life where others have failed. At least, he tried to envision himself at the pinnacle of existence living the most luxurious of lives. As a Casales he felt it was in his future to be at the top rather than dwindling at the bottom. His family members might have decided to move on but he hadn't, and he didn't think he would.

So racing this golden male was a good focus point and as he turned his head to see them still running towards him gave him hope that he was still a good match. Indeed they will, they were tight and tense right now for the activity but it was a good burn. Something that kept his mind forward instead of backward, allowing himself to revel in the ability to overcome. I don't normally take up strangers requests for a race, allowing a small piece of himself to be shared with @Vasilis. Jafar wasn't necessarily a social creature but in the event of knowing next to nothing, he had to make some arrangements.

Huffing to breath right after a moment's pause he chuckles. "Sometimes it's good for a chance at the change you know?" how else would you know what your good or bad against if you're always testing yourself against friends and family? It was good to run up against others completely unknown so you could get that shocking effect when you find out A) is that challenger faster, better, or stronger than yourself or are they B) lacking in areas you are not. He walks a bit and stands again, his muscles jittery and so he stretches a bow downcast to the beaches. " My name, is Diuris Yeager. " he informs the other lion before him. They seemed close in age so it was appropriate for him to give a slight bow out of respect. His eyes then wander the giant rock face to his left, the way that they just continued to climb off the beach was amazing. Let alone the difference in the texture of the sand beneath his toes, this area was so different compared to Scilla Lagoons beaches. The rocky outcrops seemed more sturdy than that of the rocks near the Cove, perhaps they were attached and gradiently changed as the cove and the Stygian shoreline started to meet less and less of one another. @Jafar

In his mind, he had set specific goals for himself that might not coorelate to the one's his family members had. Certain aspirations that were obtainable in a certain fashion and he was determined to set it in motion, things that required him to get to know this new land as much as possible. He simply had to meet someone (or, much less desired, multiple someone's) that could describe to him the land of Amaryllis and give him the best information possible. It would work a lot better if it were one so that he could reserve his social capacity but he doubted he'd be so lucky.

This male, now come to be known as Diuris, was an interesting fellow. One that seemed to value changing things up but Jafar could only wonder how far his interest in that went. Was he interested in someone that took no nonsense? Or simply looked for changes to stir up his own personal life? Jafar Casales, he introduced himself in turn and hoped that it would be a memorable name and not so easily forgotten. Bright eyes looking to where @Vasilis did and kept his eyes roaming the rocky outcrops around them and vaguely recalling seeing the same when he'd walked through the Passage with his familia.

This place was vastly different from what he was used to back home but it wasn't anything he couldn't handle. Sand and beach, rocks and cliffsides - he could handle it all as long as he was considerate of its dangers. One solid misstep along the cliffs could land him on the rocks beneath and there was still much to be done in this life. I don't suppose you can tell me more about this land here. The whole land, preferably. Explaining that he needed as in-depth a description as possible. The more that he could gain here the better.

The tip-top was jagged and yet it looked untouched to the naked eye, but after moments of staring at the tops of the pillars, he noticed that something was floating above their high thrones, birds! They were making their homes atop the structures where no one but themselves could enjoy the safety and sights of the shoreline from so high up. A smile was brought to his face as he hums, how interesting that they decided to lay their nests so far atop the world they lived in. Vasilis had to admit it, but @Jafar 's name was so exotic sounding that it took him a moment to taste it on his tongue before repeating it correctly. "Well, Mr. Casales. It's a pleasure." he drops a paw and bows slightly.

His eyes comb back down the pillars and scan the dark beach they were standing on, the way the sun seemed to dance the tiny freckles of the sand to twinkle and shimmer as if they were some kind of rare jewels in a cave. Yet it was simply sand was it not? His paw would comb over the section before him, physically confirming that it was indeed just colored sand. His ears perk at the question that Jafar asks him " Fortunately I can tell you of most of all Amaryllis. Yes." he started before sitting down, his weight sinking somewhat into the dark beach. His eyes look up at the man and he clears his throat " To the west of here is the mountain chains facing Maua's Passage and within the mountains are the underground mountain chains and the Hollow pride lands as well, Beyond that, are the badlands, the scarab dunes, and the Oasis pride lands. North of the mountains, central to the Amaryllis landscapes is the fighting pit and Freyr's Peak. " he takes a breath and looks behind him " Behind us, to the north, is the Jungle and Rainforest pridelands that meet connections to the Swamps. The north of them is the northern territories where the tundra can be found. It's very cold and drastic there." he frowns with a shake of his head. "To the far west of the jungle are the hunting fields that connect to Freyr peak, and to the west of the peaks is where you can find the Natives pride lands in the brooks and the lions who live on the bluffs facing the opposite side of Amaryllis's island western bayside. It is very dangerous on that side as the cliffs and rocks are jagged and misshapen. " he then points in front of him "If you continue on down this beach you'll meet the Cove pride and Scilla Lagoon that is just off the shore of Amaryllis to the south." He falls silent then, waiting to see if the man would ask him for anything else. Was he looking for a place in particular? Or just wanting to know more about where he was or what was nearby?
