Tessa had been caught up in the world wind of being reunited with her husband that she hadn't even thought about her manners. She didn't want to encroach on anyone and she didn't feel it was right having Israel do things for her. Though he might complain and say it was no trouble Tessa knew that if she was going to join the Cove she wanted to do it on her own accord. Attending the dance party had been thrilling and if anything it only solidified that Tessa wanted to make a home here with her little family. Chuffing to Ida (who was relatively good at avoiding adults and strangers at all costs) she made her way towards the borders before calling for Jewel. She figured she would be welcoming but she wanted to have a conversation with the woman one way or another, and given she never had the opportunity to meet little Ida now was the best time to take advantage of it. The small spotted girl clung to her side but otherwise remained quiet as Tessa waited for the Cove High Sovereign.

her call might’ve gone unnoticed by her buffoon of a husband, but it certainly didn’t go unnoticed by him. the little piebald runt wastes no time scrambling to his feet and bounding towards the sound, breaking into a big, wide smile as he catches sight of the two of them. mama! he calls, chirrups - excitable and squeaky. he nearly trips over his oversized paws as he comes to a stop, rumbling a soft little purr in his throat as he headbutts her front leg gently. he stands on his tiptoes, hoping for a kiss, before moving to ida’s side and offers her much the same - though his headbutt of greeting is much, much softer. hi, ida! he says in a quiet voice to her, before plopping down at her side - as close as she’d let him. he knew how weird and awkward it could be while the grownups talked, so he’s here to shield her from that. he might not be a very good bodyguard, but he was here!

Jewel heard the call and rose from where she had been resting with her newborns and made her way to the borders. She paused, noting the female and two cubs - her lips twisting into a smile. "Good afternoon..." Cerulean optics tilted down to where she could see @Cassidy and smiled at @Tessa and @Ida. "What can I help you with?" Seeing how familiar the cub was with her, she had no doubts that they were related.

The Cove Sovereign shifted, her tails curling near her ankle as she waited to see how the female would answer. She didn't smell of any pride - that Jewel could recognize, though she noted the faint scent of salt and sand.. as if she had spent some time in the shoals that made up the beaches of the island.

She didn't like the idea of having to meet the leader of the pride her daddy and brothers had taken residence in. In fact Ida would have liked to remain a nomad forever if she had any say in anything but momma was adamant that she had to go with her. That she needed to introduce herself properly and to be polite to 'Miss Jewel' from what her momma had told her. However when they got here Ida couldn't help but stay glued to Momma's hind leg, that is until Cassidy arrived. Easily she slid behind her larger brother, being sure to use him as a natural shield. "Is she nice?" She whispered into Cassidy's ear so the adults couldn't hear. Her green eyes watched warily, waiting.

Tessa smiled warmly down at Cassidy as he joined her and almost instinctively Ida took to hiding behind her brother which was typical for her. It didn't take long for Jewel to greet her to which Tessa offered her a polite smile as well. 'Good afternoon, what can I help you with?' Tessa didn't want to waste the woman's time so she was sure to cut to the chase. "As you may know my husband and some of my children have taken harbor here in the Cove .. I would like to join as well, with my daughter Ida." She informed her before her peach gaze turned towards Ida then. "As you can tell she's a little shy .. but we want to keep our family together if possible." She said then, hoping that Jewel would be understanding. From what she could gather she was a very kind lioness, Israel had chosen well when it came to where he had settled down during her absence.

The lioness gave @Tessa a smile as she requested a home for herself and her family.. The ebony queen looking down at @Ida and @Cassidy with a smile, her tails flickering near her haunches. "You are welcome to the Cove, lady Tessa and Lady Ida...I'm sure if you travel the caves along the ridgeline - you will find the ones that your family has settled in." She was pleased that they were coming - pleased that the family would remain together.

"I look forward to having you here...and, Lady Tessa.. if there's anything I can do to help you and yours get settled... let me know... I'm glad that your family is staying together..." She smiled, watching the two children crowding their mother and finding herself reminded of her own cubs at that age.

It was stressful listening to the adults talk but Ida knew that if she even thought to try and run away now it would truly upset her mama. Jewel seemed nice enough, but admittedly her two-tails made Ida a little nervous, not to mention the numerous scars she managed to spot on the ebony woman's fur. However it didn't seem like the woman was turning them away by any means and in fact she welcomed them with open arms. The spotted girl glanced upward at her mother before turning her gaze back to Jewel, offering her the smallest of smiles but otherwise remaining quiet. At least in the back of her mind Ida knew that if they were in a pride they were safe, and safe was the best thing they could do right now.

Tessa waited patiently for Jewel's response and though part of her was a little bit nervous that she would be turned away she didn't get any negative feelings from Jewel. In fact every interaction she had had with the Cove Queen had been pleasant thus far, she had no reason to believe that Jewel would keep her from entering the Cove officially, or at least she hoped she didn't need to worry. 'You are welcome to the Cove, lady Tessa and Lady Ida...I'm sure if you travel the caves along the ridgeline - you will find the ones that your family has settled in.' Tessa couldn't help but offer a broad smile to the Queen, grateful that she had taken the time to talk to her out of her busy schedule. "I appreciate it greatly and for what it's worth you seem like a very nice, honorable Queen. I'm happy to be here." She said to her with a firm nod, if Tessa could have chosen anywhere it would have been here. 'I look forward to having you here...and, Lady Tessa.. if there's anything I can do to help you and yours get settled... let me know... I'm glad that your family is staying together..' Tessa nodded her head in agreement to Jewel's words, "I'll be happy to help out around here as much as I can. Thank you again Jewel." She smiled softly before glancing down at her two children at her side, "Come on guys, let's go find daddy hmm?" She said then with a grin, happy to finally have a roof over her head once more.

Ida had settled against her mother's side, ears flicking as she listened to the adults speak with one another. Her green eyes went to her mother then when she spoke about how happy she was to be joining and for a moment Ida couldn't help but feel the same things; if her mother was truly happy then she had no reason to be unhappy. At the mention of finding her father Ida perked up, nodding her head enthusiastically because she was more then ready to go find her new den. Her brothers had had a head start on her thus far, but she would make up for lost time. Easily she moved, following after her mother to her new home.
