October 11, 2024 Something is happening in the Scorched Wilds. There is a battle raging between a familiar force and an unfamiliar one. What will you do? Help or hinder?

October 1, 2024 Spooky things are happening as the afterlife start walking among the living once again.

September 30, 2024 Louve Dieudonné manages to keep Wolfbron Bluffs in the family. What will happen between the Bluffs and the otherwise peaceful pride of Lorien Plains?

September 20, 2024 Ilarion Rurik challenges for Wolfbron, will the Dieudonné lead pride fall?

September 8, 2024War broke out once again in the Lagoon when a wedding had some uninvited guest arrive. The war results in the most death matches the island has seen at once. The Summit was challenged by Brighid with Talisa answering the call. After many years of the Summit have the same two leaders, the Summit changes hands. What will this mean for the balance of Amaryllis? A witch hunt has started by Luther and Miaran which seems to be turning things on an island that is full of magic.

August 25, 2024 War broke out in the challenge for the Lagoon after Cassius tries to take the Lagoon from Isla. The Cove remains with Miaran. The leadership of the Mire switches from Sigrún hold to Rike when Luther comes back to take his birthland back. Elephants push into the Rainforest and push out the lions there. Soon after Lucifer lays claim to his birthland and takes over the Rainforest.

June 27, 2024 Conflict and tensions rise as prides come head-to-head with one another across Amaryllis - just as Pyrrha and Cassius take the leap to try and claim (or reclaim) their own thrones.

May 24, 2024 Rulers continue to shift, family strife ensues, and, per usual, tensions seems taunt and always lingering on the horizon.

April 24, 2024 Things are rocky within Amaryllis as the Dieudonne clash result in three deaths and forces a shift in the rulership of Firnen Rainforest. With Caladan Cove freshly overturned as well, what will the consequenecss of these events be?

March 30, 2024 The lull has ended as a long standing family, the Dieudonné, launch death matches against their own. The Plains sees a challenge from a new comer, Aphrodite, and the quite pride is pushed into the spotlight.

March 19, 2024 A momentary lull has overtaken the lands of Amaryllis as its inhabitants attempt to find their footing and rebuild after a string of challenges. How long it will last, however, nobody can be quite sure.

February 11, 2024 The Mire has fallen from the Stärke family and is now held by Luther Rike. The change has stirred but the fighting nature of those on the island. The Brook finds a new leader with Icefang and Isla takes over the Lagoon after a storm pushes out the old leader. Reti finds himself the leader of the Hollows after Alexander is hurt. The Oasis finds a new leader in Léonie who is soon tested by Harou.

January 8, 2024 The snow has finally begun to melt anew, which means that the world is slowly returning to the much-anticipated summer season. With the various holiday activities and the other jests put on by Nafasi also coming to a close, it is safe to say that winter is finally over.

December 5th, 2023 Nafasi had pulled a cruel trick and has sent Amaryllis back into a renewed winter season! But it's not all bad, because the lands will also see a handful of holiday-themed events popping up as a result. To make things more interesting, a wayward trio of travlers have also arrived and are facilitating a mass competition between the prides, bands, and rogues -- formally dubbed the Amaryllis Winter Games.

December 2nd, 2023 The spring air brings forth a number of pride challenges. A familiar challenger for the Cove and the Oasis arrive to try to earn what they want. The new leader of the Lagoon is tested in battle as well. What changes will come from the challenges? Who will remain standing and who will find their world turned upside down?

November 27th, 2023 In a challenge between mother and daughter, the leadership of Wolfbron Bluff changes for the first time in 5 IC years.

November 22nd, 2023 Two death matches, one resurrection, and an almost-war later, the lands find themselves in a constant state of turmoil and calamity. Families have been torn apart and endless blood has been spilt; but how is it all going to end?

November 3rd, 2023 The lands stir violently as a death match rages on between Aeistrios Saxe and Morrigan Greyflood. Observers spill into the pit in droves to witness what will no doubt be a historic battle -- and it is clear that this familial fued is far from over, no matter who wins and who dies.

October 12th, 2023 With winter comes the surge of more pride challenges; Ludivine challenges Ryker for Firnen Rainforest and is victorious in her endeavors, meanwhile an outcropping of maims breaks out on the sidelines. In a shocking turn of events Luther returns to challenge Bruno for Ecrosia Mire, will the former heir prove victorious or has Bruno got what it takes to keep his brother's ambitions at bay? This has undoubtedly shaken things up as Bruno declares war against Andal Oasis and Allies in the process!

Lilith had been simply elated when Hera had chosen to go with her back to the Lagoon, after all she was her first recruit from Maua's Passage and that in itself was enough to make the palomino lioness beam proudly. However what Hera had said in the passage did not fall on deaf ears - she wished to learn more about herbs and it just so happened that that was what Lilith specialized in! Excitedly she glanced over the various collection of herbs laid out before her in her den, now what to get Hera started on? She supposed she could start out with basic knowledge and go from there, after all she had never really had an apprentice before but there were firsts for everything! Leaning forwards she reaches out to collect both pigeon pea and cape aloe before stuffing it in her rawhide satchel. Slinging her satchel over her shoulder for it to rest comfortably she moves from her den then, offering a few chuffs in the process to summons Hera. Lilith moved to a relatively open space in the Lagoon where the sun shone down brightly, it would be perfect to illuminate the herbs she would be showing. Setting her satchel down she pulled the herbs from it before setting them out before her gently. Finally when everything seemed right she paused, waiting for Hera's company.

+5 learn something from another about your trade

Despite the brightness of the sun overhead, the island was swathed by a soft ocean breeze that kept Hera cool as she walked towards the beach. She'd been spending a lot of time in her new home exploring the terrain, and today she'd planned on looking for seashells that had washed up from the tide. Having grown up nomadic, Hera rarely had an opportunity to keep many plants in storage, her home pride preferring to utilize the herbs in whatever land they happened to be. Now, with this newfound stability, Hera coveted any resource that would allow her to keep herbs close at paw. Seashells were a nice way to store and dry them she'd found - the fact that they also made for pretty decoration was a nice bonus.

Before Hera could make it to her destination, she heard a chuff that she recognized as Lilith. oh, is it finally time? Seashells forgotten, Hera excitedly made her way towards the origin of the sound. She'd been anticipating finally meeting with the palomino lioness - both for the ability to learn from her, but also just to be in her company.
Moving quickly, it didn't take long for Hera to catch the strong scent of herbs on the breeze, followed immediately by the sight of Lilith surrounded by them. Hello, she called out, slowing her pace until she stopped in front of the other lioness. It's good to see you.

It didn't take long for Hera to join her and Lilith immediately greeted the pink lioness with a warm smile. "Hello, it's good to see you." Dipping her head politely she then raises it before responding, "And you as well! How are you settling in Hera?" Lilith asks curiously, because of course her well-being was a concern of hers. Lilith had felt an air of familiarity with the lioness even if they had only just met and she liked to think that the two of them could form a lasting friendship with one another. Eagerly she slid the two piles of herbs forwards and closer to Hera so she could have a better look at them. Pointing to the pile to the left she spoke, "I wanted to get started on teaching a few things.. These leaves are Cape aloe." She explained carefully before then reaching over and sliding the right pile forward, though this pile too had a few seeds with it. "These leaves and seeds are called Pigeon pea." For a moment she remained quiet, allowing Hera to take a closer look and become more familiar with the herbs. "Both of these herbs having healing properties but one of them you cannot eat.. can you guess which one?" She said softly, dual-toned gaze moving from the herbs to then rest upon Hera's face.

As always, being in the other lioness's presence was easy. Hera's last teacher had been her mother, who's high string nature had made Hera too tense to be a good student. Lilith's soft disposition was a welcome change, and Hera found herself relax as she began to explain which herbs lay in front of them. Cape aloe definitely sounded familiar, but she wasn't sure she recognized the other.

Narrowing her yellow gaze, as if that would reveal some type of clue, Hera looked over the two different plants. The Cape aloe was large and didn't appear to be all that easy to bite into. If she remembered right, it also had a gooeyness to it that would make for an unpleasant chewing experience. The pigeon peas on the other paw were small, Hera figured giving a few of these for a patient to eat would be much easier.

"I'm guessing it's the aloe, right?" She asked, looking up from the lesson to her pridemate.

Lilith watched Hera carefully and quietly, allowing the woman plenty of time to survey the two separate pile of herbs in order to make her decision. 'I'm guessing it's the aloe, right?' She asked then and Lilith beamed a proud smile in her direction before responding, "Exactly! Very good! Though technically it was a trick question. You wouldn't want someone to eat the aloe unless you needed to use it as a laxative. The pigeon pea however can be eaten and used for many purposes, though the most common I've seen has been for anti-sickness and to prevent skin infections." She said with a small smile, then she reached forward easily to scoop the herbs back into her rawhide satchel for safe keeping. "So tell me Hera, did you do much healing in your past? I've found ever since I was a little girl I was always fascinated by the art of healing and helping others." She spoke then, falling silent so she could wait patiently for the pink woman's response.

The praise made Hera sit up a little straighter, a warmness filling her chest. The other woman was so kind and gentle in her tutelage, and Hera found herself wanting to impress her as much as possible, to show Lilith that her efforts wouldn't be wasted on Hera. "I've always been fascinated, too. In my home pride, I mainly assisted with gathering herbs for the pregnant lionesses," she answered. "I was one of many paws creating potions and tinctures for labor pains, but I wasn't allowed to make anything on my own." She frowned, that was odd wasn't it? That the knowledgable herbalists in her pride kept the other medicines a closely guarded secret?

Oh, a thought hit Hera like a coconut falling out of a tree. The few women had coveted their abilities because it was the only power they were allowed to have. They must have felt threatened when young, curious Hera had watched them work and asked if they could teach her what they knew. They had allowed her to help prepare medicine for labor pains, a mixture so easy even a cub could figure it out, but never allowed her anything else. Everything Hera knew about herbs had been from snippets of conversation she shouldn't have overheard, and it hadn't made sense to her until now.

In Scilla, and it seemed all of Amaryllis, lionesses were allowed to do all sorts of things in their prides. Some were even leaders! That the women of her pride were only allowed this small taste of potential broke her heart. "I'm glad to be here," she admitted, which to Lilith may have been an odd thing to say as she hadn't gone on Hera's mental journey. "Thank you for allowing me into Scilla, and for teaching me." She smiled at her companion, "How did you get into medicine, anyway?"

Lilith liked having someone to teach, it was nice having someone else that shared her interest in medicine. After all considering the majority of her family members preferred to use their brawn over brains it was a much needed change of pace. 'I've always been fascinated, too. In my home pride, I mainly assisted with gathering herbs for the pregnant lionesses, I was one of many paws creating potions and tinctures for labor pains, but I wasn't allowed to make anything on my own.' Lilith listened carefully as Hera explained, now that was interesting. It sounded like the ways of the pride seemed more cut and dry, only the older and more experienced were allowed to practice. Thankfully most of what Lilith had learned was self-taught, of course her father knew a little bit of medicine but not much. Even her mother wasn't the greatest medic; Lilith took pride in the fact that everything she had learned was on her own, her knowledge expanding over time with the more experiments she was able to conduct, both on herself and others.

'I'm glad to be here, Thank you for allowing me into Scilla, and for teaching me. How did you get into medicine, anyway?' Lilith smiled warmly at the pink lioness then, feeling more drawn to her in a close friendship manner then anyone else. It was quite easy considering they both liked the same things and Lilith found her companionship to be easy and carefree. "I'm happy to have you here, truly. I first started practicing medicine when I was a young child, everything I know is self-taught. And what drove me to be a medic was well .. my entire family. They are quite known for getting into scraps here and there, we are a passionate bunch after all. But not me .. I don't enjoy violence. I prefer to heal and help in any way that I can .. I'm not an original Casimir by any means. I've taken a personal oath to never harm another with tooth or claw .. Instead I heal." She said softly, offering Hera a small smile. Her way of living was not traditional by any means but her family had come to accept her for how she was, and that was mostly too because she was a medic, who else would patch up their wounds if not for her?

'Casimir' wasn't familiar to her, thought the way the palomino woman spoke it must mean the name carried significance in Amaryllis. Perhaps the family was known for being aggressive? Violent? It was difficult to imagine her companion as anything except the lovely, gentle healer she knew, and wondered if that made her an outlier.
If that was the case, Hera respected Lilith all the more for it. It was easy to be combative, to use fighting as a way to settle disputes and brutality to demand respect - to be intentionally kind was much more difficult.

"I admire that," she admits. "It says a lot about you, and how you approach this trade. I couldn't ask for a better lioness to show me the ropes," Hera flashes a smile, "Is there anymore to the lesson today, or are we going to pick up again next time?"
