The boy would perk his ears slightly as he listened to the woman question a fact that he told her. The boy is about to retort; cast words scathing in their regards as he prepares but she then says something interesting. Mimicking a pride's scent with herbs? "No, no she didn't." He would muse before turning his gaze towards the sound of her body hitting the ground and her being summarily ended.

The boy would frown; his gaze steeled upon the lion that slaughtered her before his shoulders rose in a shrug. Those were the results of what happened when lionesses defied their lion counterparts — death. Let it be a lesson. "How do you do it?" The boy would ask as his gaze travels over to 'gifts' being handed out to the bystanders and the random lion that started digging into the corpse.

"Nor is the the children's fault!" She said feeling angry yet she had to stay colld for her children who now rested between her legs and the other one. "Those girls are safe, i made sure of it myself. They are with my daughter, she is guarding them.." She sighs as she looks at Cassius. "And you think any of you are saints? No one here is free of guilt for their own dark pasts.You all point your paws at her when i am sure any of you would do the same!" She looked down. "Ill return your daughters if you are truly going to show them the same right than the boys. I took them in because i wasnt going to let them be ignored while the boy would had been spoiled!" She sighs. She then sees the cub approaching. "It is better to do so with alive liones, because they can tell you where it hurts." She said to @Ciela. But before she went to say more the image of her sister now dead and shattered into pieces, made her mind go blank, eyes widened. Something inside her broke. Tears began to drop down her cheeks. "Barilla... don't look..look away.." She shouldnt wtach this.. She rushed towards the now mess of a lioness. Crouching to her knees she pressed her forehead into hers, closing her eyes. "أنا آسف..."(I am sorry..). She said as she curled down, dragging what was left of her. But when she saw a man daring to dishonor her remains, she hissed at him. "At least show some respect!" Storm watched in horror as the battle played out, violence beyond what she'd seen before. Even at the war, she'd been distracted by her own battle. This... this was obscene.

The lion finally pinned her down and brought @Miaran's life to a brutal end. Storm felt relief until she saw him begin to tear into the lioness' dead body. She turned away, unable to watch, and pressed her head into @Angelo's side without thinking. Even just the sounds were horrible, it seemed as if they were louder than any of the conversations, drumming deep into her ears.

Eventually they stopped, but she kept her head tucked away until she heard him approach. Storm turned her head to look and felt sick to her stomach seeing the head he dropped in front of @Alexander ♔. She could hardly tell the lioness' blood from the lion's own.

This was the dark side of her home.

As unfortunate of a possibility as it was, it was a possibility nonetheless that the mad woman's cubs were no longer even if this world. If that was the case, then that meant there was much more to this already infectious feud than what met the eye. Or ear, rather. Avreya cast a glance of agreement toward @Asphodel before returning her gaze to the drama transpiring around them.

Almost as quickly as it had started, the results of the match were made clear as the female finally collapsed under the assault of her opponent, who ended her with a swift slash to her throat. Part of her wondered idly what it was that he looked to have whispered to her, if nothing else so that she would have another piece to add to the puzzle she was putting together in her head. Alas, she would never know. But there was much to be said about the acts that followed as the victor promptly dismembered his victim and methodically deposited each of his collected pieces throughout: an eye to one, a heart to another, and an eyeless head to another still. No doubt each of them held some sort of meaning, but all Avreya could discern from where she was positioned was that they were family or pride members. Perhaps it was meant to provide some twisted form of closure.

Despite the fact that this was perhaps the most gruesome battle she had witnessed so far since taking up residence in Amaryllis, Avreya was more relieved than anything to know that she had been able to dodge the mad woman's path of destruction entirely and, quite confidently, would continue to do so from here on out.

Her only real surprise showed on her face was when the male beside her descended into the pit with a motion for her to follow. Blinking, Avreya rose and trailed behind him, driven by curiosity. Admittedly, she was puzzled and somewhat off-put by the directness with which he approached the body and began to do his own digging--what possible use did he have for another cat's intestines?--but she did not question it, deciding he would likely answer her questions later. In the meantime, somebody else approached: one of the other females being interrogated on the sidelines.

As she snapped at Asphodel, something snapped within herself, and she aimed to weave herself between her and the white male while glaring down at her with exposed teeth. A warning. "You still defend such a woman, even in death?" she hissed lowly, muscles rolling beneath her hide as she straightened herself. "You would be wise not to inherit her enemies while they surround you here. While there's still blood in the air." Avreya knew few details about this Miaran or about everybody's grievances with her, but she had noticed this female was a mother and carried a much more level head than the one she mourned.

Jowls pulled back to reveal her teeth as Avreya lunged forth then, attempting to slam her body into that of the darker woman and distance her from the corpse. Any amount of space would be safer than where she was, and it would allow others to make better use of it in death than its owner seemed to have done in life.

Blood everywhere, cries of despair. Things she enjoyed listening too, even more from witches. Sadly, she couldnt tell if the man the other was going after was guilty of sorcery. So until she knew more, she treated it as a mere case or murder, yet it was no less fun to watch.

Yet she had a different way to execute the culprits. Whereas others used raw force, she used poison, which, on her own opinion, was far better and harder to get rid off. And sometimes hard to even detect.

It seemed the size of the event was what made her mission of hiding easier. guessing the main show was far too important to pay attention to lesser distractions.

Yet the information she gathered might be of important interest to her king.

Khadija sobbed, feeling her eyes tearing as she had never done so for somone, not even when her own home was taken back as a child. Yet Miaran showed her such an udnertanding, love and accpetance. She too hard things she wanted to bury from her past, yet Miaran never showed her a cold shoulder, never got her against her will to a pride. Perhaps she was blinded by the love she had for her to see beyond it, and now that they didnt even gave her a chance for last words or a proper burial, she was feeling angry and snappy. This was so unfair! Yet someone growled at her, and the lioness growled back, flooded with too many emotions to even think straight. "She deserved a burial!" Not being treated like a price!" She snapped as she felt the other slamming into her. Forcing her to back off a few steps. There she aimed to slash her right front paw towards the woman's face; she was out of her mind. Anyone would be after witnessing someone massacring their loved ones. "Hey,"

Well…shit. Things just seemed to go from bad to worse. Despite her attempt to speak with Louve, to sit near her, @Remnant had other ideals. She noted the colorful sibling going up to Zabrina, demanding to know what she had done to her sister. Ears fell back and she turned with a heavy, angry, sigh. Lips were drawn into a tight line, pressing against her longer upper canines as she approached her sibling and Zabrina. Just keep it short…and turn away. Don’t engage… Don’t engage… She repeated the last sentence over and over. @Elaine ♔ appeared, standing resolutely behind Remnant and the yearling could not help but wonder why. Surely it wasn’t some favor towards her…Perhaps it was because of Reti? That didn’t make much sense either.

"Remmy." A low growl, stern but not cruel. Yellow gaze shifted to her sister after she gave a thankful and respectful nod to Elaine. "C’mon. Lets go sit…" She trailed, glancing around. Her ears suddenly perked and she could not help the tight grin that pulled at her lips. "C’mon, let's go sit with Aphro." She nudged her then, hoping to move her away from @Zabrina…without looking at the chimera. The spotted yearling didn’t give her sibling much choice as she moved off to go sit with her adopted mother and her captor. Zinnia did not worry for her safety, but she did hesitate to consider Remnant’s safety. She was confident she could protect her younger sibling though…Hopefully.

"Aphro!" She greeted, hastily brushing into her a low rumbling purrish growl vibrating in her throat, telling her best friend of her struggle without saying anything else on the matter. It didn’t occur to her that she should be respectful to the white lioness that was next to her guardian…though, it probably should have. "Are you well?" She asked, yellow gaze looking her over even as she asked the question. Concern was heavy in her voice, she had expected her to free herself by now...

Glancing back to the fight, she was surprised to find @Miaran looking...tired. Her anger spent and then...then she was falling. Zinnia's muscles tightened. Her attention became fixed on the fight, rather than her adopted mother and sibling. @Kvare was speaking, but she didn't comprehend his words right away, she was watching as the maddened woman was put down, put out of her misery. Blood a dark pool on the already dark ground. There was relief in the yearlings gaze as she watched, focusing on the chest of the scarred lioness, her family's enemy. Two breaths, then still. Sharp yellow gaze shifted, waiting to see if anyone would stir, if anyone would try to bring her back. Fleetingly, her gaze would attempt to connect with @Louve ♔ before turning back to Miaran's lifeless form. Unable to look away. "She's dead, Aphro..." Hollow. Confused. Happy. Sad. A variety of emotions that touched her voice as her head tipped to the side in her signature way. Trying to work out a problem.

As expected, the mourning female lashed out at her with a vengeance, spitting words at Avreya as she sent a claw paw toward her face. Normally, the mauve lioness would happily match her opponent's level of force; she even had to admit it was difficult to maintain her composure through the stinging in her cheek. However, this was a much more complicated situation than when she herself had once bled here over a spar. This was not that. This was pure, uncensored grief, and if not kept in check, no doubt it would lead this friend to snap at the wrong lion. Which just as well could have been Asphodel as it could have been any other.

"Tell that to all those who seem to have gathered to see her downfall for themselves." Still Avreya kept her voice low, spitting her words through clenched jaws as she raised her own paw, claws still sheathed, in an attempt to strike her face in retaliation.

Her eyes didn't leave the fight as it neared the end, she looked to her uncle then to Kireene finally as Kvare dealt the last blow, killing the gray cat, she let out a breath of relief, watching as Kvare took a step, speaking to Alexander. Her breath shook before she stepped forward, but stopped once again, looking to @Alexander ♔, "He needs a medic.."

That was not her forte, Lilliana was the medic, and she was the fighter, she looked around, missing her sister, but shaking her head, she needed to find someone who could help Kvare. Her feet paused once more as someone came to the body and began dismembering it, vomit threatened to leave her, she turned to return to Alexanders side, but could not face the things going on behind her.

Her eyes shift to @Kireena, "Would you like to head out?"

She was late to the party, the voice had made her blood run cold and it was hard to get herself to go, to arrive. She didn't know what the lioness was going to do but it could not be a good thing. Hanneth arrived to see the end of things and as the large male moved to familiar lionesses and lions. She felt herself drawn forward. Family. She didn't move in quickly at first. Her guard was up with how things had gone before in fights like these and sure enough another one breaks out. She hears the call for a healer and it pulls her back to see that @Kvare had fallen. She rushes over to him, she had her herbs bundled to her chest and took a hard look at him. We need to slow the bleeding for now and then get him to a place where he can rest. She looks to @Drauhir ♔ and @Pyrrha ♔ to see if he would be going to the Cove or not as she moves to start working on slowing the bleeding in his leg first. Thank you for taking her out of this world. She spoke softly to the male who was unknown to her but was family and had saved his own.
