Caligula had made his rounds around the rainforest. It had the feel of where Hanneth had once lived but still he didn't see the bronze woman around. He could have sworn that she had made the trip. He had really expected her to be here but she was not.

By the time he came back around towards where he had entered from the fight had neared a conclusion and a leader had been found. The female had beat out the male and claimed the place, calling it Firnen Rainforest. Apparently she had daughters as well.

The fight ended amicably enough and pleasantries were being exchanged. He knew none of them. He also was no one of importance and she he didn't hang around. The bronze made his exit silently, slipping away without a word.

Nala was soo happy to see so many new faces, new potential friends. So many! She wanted to talk to them all, to ask questions and have fun. She was just too young and trusting to ever think about that bring danger if not careful enough. But at this age she ignored those facts, all she saw were friends and good creatures. As she was about to search for a new lion to talk to, Eina and Tomotsu told her to be careful and to stock with them. That was fine! And like she sat by their side eyeing the fight with curious eye. And at the end her mother won. "彼女が勝った!" She yelled as her mother claimed them into the pride. And like that she followed Eina and her mother to her new home. Exit Nala w @Kimagure and @Eina Translation-- 彼女が勝った！！ : She won!!

What had he learned was actually a good question. There were so many prides popping up here and there since they had arrived. Just when Roan thought he had met everyone, a new pride would emerge or a leader would change. It was impossible to learn about everyone at once. Roan momentarily debated between really diving into the little details he had learned from the different rulers or just to brush it off. Maybe now wasn't the right time to get into it all. "I've learned that no one here rules quite like Dad did," the mauve lion finally relented with a bit of a sigh. There were some rulers he knew he'd never want to live beneath, even if the fallen prince didn't wholly disagree with their leadership styles, but then there was one or two that might be pretty close to the way Roan had grown up. In any case, he obviously hadn't made the jump to say yes to a pride so far.

It was nice to hear, at least, that @Corinna felt a little more at ease in these lands. Less weight on her shoulders while Roan felt the whole world bearing down on his own. He was too much of a Hodari, too much of a Tolkien, to simply give up yet for his family's safety. Still, the masked lion offered a faint smile. "That's good to hear. I'm glad you're liking it here." Before much else could be said, though, the fight came to an end. Roan didn't know if he was really surprised to see the scarred female come out on top, if only because he'd seen every different color and size of lion or lioness end up a ruler over the years. Physical traits and genders didn't seem to matter sometimes when it came to fights. This woman was larger than most, though, so that probably helped.

Just about to get up and leave as the new ruler instructed, Roan's attention was taken by a native keen on calling out the new sovereign and her claim. Next thing he knew, the masked Hodari sat to listen to the whole speech given by the new queen. She made a good point. Something Roan hadn't exactly thought about before since arriving. Too concerned in being viewed like the rogues that had driven his family from their lands, he failed to recognize the fact that this Maua figure had welcomed them to these lands. It wasn't like the refugees had done the same as the invaders. They were knocked down every border in search of lands and food, taking and killing whatever they wanted. They were just looking for a new home here. While, yes, some lions seemed to be a bit greedy in their quick pace to claiming prides and rogues, it didn't mean that everyone was that way. But the invaders, though, they had all been hostile. Looking back to his aunt, Roan offered a light shrug. "Well, that was interesting... We should probably get going, though. Let things settle here." At least the Vermeda queen didn't seem opposed to this new ruler as Roan rose to his feet, ready to vacate the rainforest whenever Corinna was ready.

Each day she felt a little stronger than the last. Her heart healing itself over time and allowing her to see the bigger picture ahead of her. To see these challenges arise did bring a certain fondness and familiarity to her past life though she hadn't a clue as to many of the faces scattered here. @Roan was a welcome surprise among the chaos and she was thankful to simply have something left to hold onto. He was a vision of what was once a very bright time and certainly not one she connected to the darkness that they had all faced since. That's quite unfortunate, she answered in lieu of no one ruling quite like Dero. Perhaps there might come a time when they could rise up again and create their own little jungle but Corinna was patient. She wanted to be able to live her life under the care of family and even if it wasn't led by family, Corinna wanted to be as close to them as possible. After all, Dero was her closest connection to who she used to be. As far as liking it here went, she would likely continue to say it was a good place. One that had great potential but really, she hadn't seen much of the land or it's people to make a solid judgment. So with the challenge coming to a close and the pale woman coming out on top, Corinna picked herself up to stand and gave a tight stretch. She knew when it was time to go and she didn't want to stay and wear out her due. So Corinna nodded her head to the youth (for she still could not believe that he was so much of an adult already), and followed out after him. exit corinna w/ roan

Well, that ended up being a rather entertaining and not entertaining turn out. The challenge was entertaining - the two duked it out in true fashion and Gemma lived to see both of them really get down to the true business. Nothing felt better than watching them fight and it allowed Gemma and chance to narrow down if she was able to help either of them. Though, as the pink fella marched off Gemma figured that he likely wouldn't take too kindly to the help anyways (and she wasn't going to go track him down). The newly crowned leader also looked like she was probably just wanted to go enjoy her new crown. So the black and white woman was just as happy to march her happy ass right on out of the Rainforest. Perhaps another day. exit gemma!

the challenge winds down to a natural conclusion. ears prick forward as he watches, mentally noting each injury he had witnessed appear in their flesh. both wore a variety and already his mental gears churn - thinking of ways he would patch them up. if he ever needed to. helping think through the process now would help him later - if it ever happened again, when he least expected it, the motions could at least seem easier. eyes shift away from them to glance towards the departing crowd - noting a certain black-pelted sovereign among them. at least now he knew who this forest belonged to, as the dust finally settled.
