Manes had grown agitated with the recent lack of weight upon his head that a crown provided. His family had been scattered across various lands and he had two sons missing. He and Ambrosine spent more time apart than they did together, and this was troublesome: the King needed the Queen back at his side.

It was early morning and Manes had noticed that the fog had lifted in the northern territories. Swiftly making his way through the lands, he found a mountain, and one that certainly looked tasty and grand enough to be his home.

Moving through the rocky terrain and up to the top and centre of the seemingly empty prideland, Manes called out and cast his claim upon the Bluffs. Let his challenger seek him out.

The land here was untouched, in a way.

It held no scent markers, barely any scents that would be considered leonine in passing. Perhaps a stray rogue here or there had meandered through, but this place was ultimately a blank slate. Somewhere that could be molded to his needs and wishes.

A place to make a gamble with the lands themselves. Yes. This would do nicely for the angel to make a fresh start. Secret places only existed until someone found them after all, and they'd never be secret again until that someone was dust.

He was not the only one however to find this little secret. Another male with a pelt a few shades darker than his own announced his claim, but only just barely. This was still fresh earth, fresh air, and his scent had not soaked the lands just yet.

"Mh'hma, stranger," The nephilim nodded to the red maned male as he approached, "Are you sure you're where you should be?"

The sound was again echoing the land. What was this? His body moved and went after the sound. So not only was the Hollow empty but now another new pride was available. It seemed more and more neighbors were popping up around him like Daisies. He slunk himself into the ground - watching on his belly from a safe enough distance before suddenly another came into view. One he knew and the other he did not.

Vasilis rose to his buttocks, hips coiled under his weight as he leaned his upper half to sit upright. His body glimmered under the light that was provided from the heavens. Eyes shifted to the unknown face as they spoke. 'Are you sure you're where you should be?' Vasilis's brow arches at the oddity in that stranger's voice.

Through all his wanderings and the recent discovery that a previously established pride lived to the east of the Grove, Gareth spent a little more time north than usual. Perhaps giving him a little bit more insight into what the past had held here once upon a time and the chance to meet another one of the natives. That only led him to come across the sound of what was a summoning of sorts. A challenge, to claim a land to the west. So of course, he busied himself and promptly changed course.

Eyeing the Bluffs as he came across the presumed initiate, who was currently being challenged by another male. Glorious, in which a fight would take place - so he took a seat and waited to see it come to pass. Knowing that there would be plenty of onlookers within the next few minutes. The fight alone was worth a watch but he was also interested to see the lions come out of the woods, so to speak. The one's he hadn't had the pleasure of running into solo.

This place was not as warm as his blessed Oasis. The red creature has called his claim, and is quickly challenged. The titan seats himself beside @Vasilis, offering him a greeting nod. “Wonder who we’ll be discussing pride relations with.” He murmured to the other Sovereign.

The pink titan settled in to watch the fight, indifferent to the winner having never met either man before.

There had been callings, ones that claimed lands for their own. Valerius was not all too concerned about them as of right now, but this one seemed to catch his interest for the day. He had made his way toward the mountainous area as the fog had lifted as if by some unearthly being, and as he was halfway there would the bellowing call of claim ring in the air. Large frame would pick up the pace a bit, now in a steady jog as he cleared distance between himself and where the call had come from. And once he had arrived, it would seem as though others had beat him. Sea foam eyes would glance at the others that had gathered here so far, slowing down to a walk and keeping himself a ways back. His attention would be brought upon two males in particular once he found a suitable enough spot to stand and spectate, awaiting to see what would happen, whether the one who called would stand up and fight or would he bow down to the one that contested his claim. Valerius is observing.

Having just finished his meal at the right time, Magnus would have been rude to not see the claim - and swift reciprocation - of the bluffs nearby as an invitation. He was the sort to seize any opportunity to witness a little bloodshed (all the better if he could be involved, but alas, that was not the way these sorts of things worked) and so, with purpose in his steps, the giant would haul himself up off the ledge and make his way towards the source of the commotion. By the time he'd arrived only a few others had gathered; no doubt by the end of it all there would be a crowd. He was not the only bloody-minded one around here, he just knew it.

This was by far the farthest away from her home she had come since claiming it. To say that it made her nervous was an understatement. Jewel moved slowly so that her eldest son could keep up. Perhaps it wasn't exactly intelligent, bringing a fresh teenager to a pride challenge, but she wanted him -as with all her children to start to think about what it was they wished to do when they were older. Bright Heart had expressed interest in something that seeing a challenge and seeing how lions interacted would fall hand in hand with.

Jewel made her way to a rocky outcropping to one side, shifting so that she could sit upon it and be both out of the way, but also high enough up so that both she and her child could see what was happening. Cerulean optics noted the lions already gathered, eyes landing first on the Lagoon's golden king, and the Oasis's rose king before they turned to the two males that stood in the center.

Typical day for the scruffy rogue, what with her endless travel and searching for anything of use to her. Be it food or herb that kept her light pawsteps ever in motion, the young shadow of a maneless carried with a low profile determination. She found herself once again at the cold reaches of the mountains, a place she remembered fondly in recent times. While it wasn't her favorite place due to the consistent chill that poked its way through her pelt, it still had its uses to her. Bounding from rock to rock as she had come accustomed to over the span of her life, Snake scaled her way across its typically treacherous terrain. Sure, she wasn't a complete fan of the place with its penchant for cold and frequent rain, the latter seeming liking over the course of the day with the way the thick grey clouds hung overhead, but it certainly wasn't the worst place she had found herself in. 

It was as she leapt that the awful sound shattered the sky. Not thunder as she anticipated, but a mane. A roar booming out into existence and ruining the silence the air once comfortably held. 

She flinched. 

She stumbled. 

Her guard was thrown, as was her aim. Snake caught one paw on the slightly elevated rock and one on the edge of it. Her angle, awkward and wrong, sent her rolling a ways down into the gully she had been hopping over. The force sent her a few tail lengths away from her original target and sliding to a halt a bit further than expected. Bruises from jutting rock and gnarled root bloomed across her body no doubt in face of her own jittery nature. Gingerly, the silent lioness rose to her paws and tried to stretch out her now sore muscles.

What was that? The thought was at the immediate forefront of her mind now. Was someone in danger. Was she someone? Fear filled her eyes as her ears pinned back and her tail tucked beneath her. Had she been somewhere she shouldn't have been? The only thing that broke her fear induced petrification was the sound of a voice, clear as day to her rumbling in its ever calm and rasping way. 

It was the angel. But where?

He didn't sound in trouble, no, it sounded like he was trouble itself. Carefully, Snake followed the source of the frighteningly melodic tone, and passing her way quietly through some underbrush opened into a clearing. Not only was her… Companion present within the empty space, but another wearing a snarl, and more. More she could tell were beginning to gather. More than she had ever seen gather in once space in her entire life. She flattened herself to the ground and scurried quickly and despite herself, closer to the golden furred angel. Still a well distance away, but she could tell danger was eminent now. The least she could do was make sure that… 

That there wouldn't be too much blood spilling.

Things certainly moved at a quick trot around her. After the swarm of lions at the Pit had caused Gwyn to fall, Amra had made her way back to the lands around the Hollow. She hadn't been sure why. Perhaps it was Zagan wanting to speak to her that had called her there, but they had spoken, they had fought, and they had come to a mutual understanding.
All to be in vain she supposed, finding that the scent markers created by Gwyn had eventually faded until there was nothing left. And so, considering herself free from his tyrannical rule, Amra had walked out without a second glance back. She hadn't even returned to find out who had decided to claim those dastardly caves after Gwyn had mysteriously vanished. She didn't care.
She also hadn't yet managed to make it to the Oasis, where Ambrosine and the rest of her family were. Though she felt guilty, Amra had seen the fog disappear from the Northern part of the island and, interested piqued, had wasted no time in heading North herself, to see what lay up there. As it was, she had yet to venture into the Western side of the island, although she had heard calls of a claim from that direction. One day she would need to travel there to see what was there.
But today, today as she drew closer to a scraggly bluff reminding her of home, a familiar call reached out to her ears. Said ears pressed forward atop her head, even more interested now. Had the King of the Ridge claimed instead a Bluff? Surprise, hope, interest, all crossed her face as she moved up toward the source of the call, arriving relatively late all things considered. A cursory glance was given to those who had arrived, Vasilis and Jewel notably as characters Amra had met before. But, unwilling to speak unless spoken to, Amra seated herself to teh side, ready to watch the tussle between Manes and the man who challenged his claim. Would Manes come out the victor this time, or would he be embarassingly beaten once more?
