It soon became apparent to the clay male that @Faust was not going to allow him to rule alongside the newly crowned King of the Bluffs. Manes looked across to @Caligula, casting him a silent yet slight disapproving glance, before looking back to the Sovereign. “Have it your way, Faust.” Manes remarks before standing if he wasn't already, and turned his crown to look at the crowd that was beginning to disperse.
“I wish you the best of luck in your rule of the Bluffs.” Diplomatic as always, Manes. The male would dip his crown before turning to leave. He looked to @Amra, giving her a brief smile and a gesture to follow him with his tail, if she wanted. Before leaving, Manes looked to @Caligula. “Come, let us discuss... things.” The male turned without looking back, expecting both Amra and Caligula to follow him away from the Bluffs and somewhere a little more neutral. The man would find his family a damn home, if it killed him. But for now, he would retreat and recalculate his plans.

But they were not alone, and with all eyes on them the angel knew to at least behave himself. However...first impressions or not, even he had his limits and this @Caligula was giving them a good testing for the masses. This was fine though, everything could be maneuvered through if you were patient enough.
"I don't need your life's story." This was his only response to Caligula's outpouring of words detailing some past slight by an old ally of some sort. If he expected this to touch the nephilim's heart then he would be sorely disappointed.
Manes was finally speaking for himself now, having the sense to call off his lapdog before making his leave while everyone still had a chance to get out of this without claw marks. He offered the male a small nod in passing, but his red eyes burned with something almost like distaste but not quite so strong.
Turning to the gathered lions, lifted his voice once again to be heard above the chilled wind.
"I think this draws a close to our little performance, and as such I ask you all to please take your leave from these lands." He even offered a bow. Faust then turned and began to seek a path higher up to bluffs, intending to remove himself from the crowd but remain close enough to observe any potential stragglers.

And so it was. Faust had truly become king. Without a fight, no less. The two opposing lions retreated back unto themselves, as did the crowd begin to slowly disperse. With a final call, High Sovereign Faust made sure his wish for privacy was known to the crowd. Snake felt the spell grow weak upon her limbs, her muscles finally relaxing into a more malleable state. She slowly rose to her paws, unsure of where she now lied. She was hesitant to move, not out of fear but confliction. Maybe it was presumptuous of her, but was she included in everyone? Of course. She had to be.
She offered one raised brow to the freshly named king before carefully slinking away. She would glance back several times before disappearing into the brush once more.

Yeah, this guy was not a talker. Caligula was used to that. He was enough of a talker for everyone. Some loved it, some hated it. He was used to that and didn't let it bother him. It didn't taint the way in which he viewed Faust. But then Caligula didn't dislike anyone. He might not agree with all of one's views or their actions but that didn't give him cause to not like the individual. He didn't like someone trying to push their views on someone else and it would be hypocritical of him to do the same. Caligula was an advocate of free will.
Caligula ducked his head when Manes gave him a disapproving look. Yep, this probably would have gone better without him here. He had just ruined something else for someone else. Exactly what he was good at, it seemed. To make everyone miserable, that was the only thing that he was good for.
Manes made his exit and then Faust went soon after. Great, just great. He didn't even get the chance to try and explain things, not that that had been going well in the first place.
Caligula exhaled a long, slow breath and made his way from the territory. He was going well, who knew where. But it was clear he wasn't welcome here and he wasn't certain Manes wanted him hanging about either.
Caligula exits
These non-natives were so weird in her mind. She looked back at the ground before her, the pair fighting and talking, talking and more talking before huffing. 'But I can’t really tell what the heck’s going on.' It seemed no one could from the faces and how people were leaving. " Som...tym...bes not to un...due....sand." she should just give up, it was pathetic of her trying to say the words. "Hayi, ibloko. Ndiza kuncama nje ukuzama ukuqonda ukuba kwenzeka ntoni, ubomi sisikhephe esingaqhelekanga ukunikela ubungqina nakanjani. " (Ah, bollocks. I would just give up in trying to understand what is happening, life is a strange boat to witness anyway.) she rolled her eyes as she spoke Xhosa quickly. Ahhh speaking in Xhosa was just so much better for her.
As if right on que to his company's remark would the red maned lion take his leave. So there would be no other types of fight happening here, after all. Ears would flicker then as the new ruler spoke, requesting that they all vacate. With the softest of grunts would Valerius hoist himself up onto all paws, giving his mane a quick shake before sea foam eyes glanced over toward the swirl marked lion.
Well, it looks like our time here is up. A pleasure to meet you, although I did not get your name... I am Valerius. With a nod of his head in farewell would the Nikolov turn on his heels, heading back in the same direction he had come from, allowing for all the information he had gathered here today to marinate and store itself away within his memory. exit Valerius.
SPEECH.
@Gareth
Gareth had seen the new, and first, leader of Wolfbrun Bruffs rise to fame. Just as he had watched the conversation between he and the red-maned fellow have a discussion that hadn't seemed to go in a positive way but it wasn't inherently negative, either. Gareth, he offered quickly to Valerius as the new King attempted to usher the last of the spectators away from his new kingdom. He knew when he wasn't wanted and certainly was not going to linger around to see what brawn the fellow had in him. Instead, he shifted and began towards the Cove where he was certain he might have at least something to take away from this important event. exit gareth |

+5 Observe a challenge and learn the results (4/4) Well, it seemed the negotiations had ended. Impressive, isn’t it? That so much can be decided in a couple of minutes, with just a pawful of muttered words and slightly hostile body language. One male retreated, the one with the deep red mane. She’d always wanted a red mane, so that when it caught the silent it’d turn into a beautiful crimson gold. But this man was leaving without any treasure, not even a mere trinket it seemed. If she’d doubted exactly who was the winner, it was quite clear when the lion with the devil red eyes (is red the theme here or something?) asked them all EVER SO POLITELY to leave. Clementine grimaced at the newly crowned king’s ominous bow, and quickly scratched the Bluffs off of her potential home list. Though she wasn’t quite sure if there was such a list at all… At the other woman’s words, Clementine’s stomach tightened. Those broken up words, those tiny moments of quiet…they only served to make her message all the more chilling. Run. Clementine swallowed, looking down at her feet with a frown. She tried her best to understand the rest of the stranger’s words, but the dark feeling in her stomach kept on distracting her. Not that she was the brightest bulb in the tanning bed to begin with. She peered at her quizzically, nodding in order to at least make the other feel better, until suddenly it was like the floodgates open and out of her mouth came the strangest rush of sounds! The peachy girl blinked slowly, “um, do you think we should leave?”

The lioness was not surprised when the newly crowned king, Faust, refused him. She thought it wise. Kimagure never understood how anyone could just accept someone they did not know as their co-ruler. The ivory woman shifted her weight when the colossus asked them to leave, observing the others in attendance for a moment before she turned to leave.
+5 Learn a something about an enemy lion or pride 2/2 (Who leads the bluffs, name of Manes who was involved in the pit fight.)
+5 Learn someone’s name and rank. (Learned Faust’s rank in previous post, learn his name as of this one.) See post #14 for other post.
