Morrigan had taken a little while to consider what she was going to do when faced with the possibility of ruling alone. She still wished to visit Magnus before her other allies if that were possible and let him know what had happened in full, for anything he hadn't already been filled in on. Before that, she wished to speak to her daughter, who had seemed to fall in the love with the Cove the same way Morrigan had. If she wished to fully take her beneath her wing in all things, there was certainly a way to do that. She sat upon one of the cliffs edges near the border before sending out a chuff for @Cassandra.

She had quickly fallen in love with the cove after arriving here a few months back now. While she did miss her favorite tree perches within the Brook, she now had her favorite perches on top of rocks and the like here within the cove. The yearling still felt bad for claiming her aunt, even though she had been assured it was a good thing to do. She wasn't intent on keeping her aunt there beyond her wants, but she still knew claiming wasn't exactly a good thing.

Cassandra had been on one of her new favorite perches on one of the rocks that stuck out above her den when she heard a call ring out for her from near the borders. What was @Morrigan calling her for? Sure she knew she likely wanted to be filled in on some things, but she would've thought her mom would've sought her out for that. Pushing herself to her paws, the yearling quickly made her way towards the source of her mother's call.

Reaching the spot the call had come from, Cassandra slowed her pace as she approached her mother. Greeting her with a gentle headbump if the monochrome lioness would allow, Cass would then sit herself a few places away. ""What's up?"" A dark ear would flick as she wondered what she had been called for.

@Cassandra answered her summons swiftly as always and though Morrigan recognized much of her own fire in her daughter she was still glad to see Talisa's devotion win out over abject rebellion. Not that Morrigan had ever tried to restrict her children in anything they wished unless it was for their own safety, but as every moon passed it became more and more undeniable that Cass was now a young woman and could be trusted as such. She had shown as much in the Brook, swift to act with the rank she had, and Morrigan knew she had been to the Passage more than once already without being asked. Still, there was grim news first. "Avaneira's condition is going to take a while to heal from... and she has asked me to take over as High Sovereign of Caladan. That's news, but that isn't what I wanted to ask you," she warned, just in case Cassandra thought this was what she'd been summoned for.

She was always prompt these days to answer her moms when called, especially considering her position in Caladan these days. She had to set an example for her younger cousins in how they should act. @Morrigan would started to speak, talking about how her aunt's wounds that she had gained from her fight at the Brook against one of the Rike would take awhile to heal from, and Cassandra's fave turned to one of worry as she glanced in the direction of her aunt's den. Would her cousins be okay with their mother being so weakened? Would they worry? How could she help keep them from worrying? ""I hope she recovers quickly.. I haven't known her to back off like this, even in the face of adversity.."" Cassandra said, flicking an ear. Mentally shaking herself as her mother continued speaking, what came from her mom's mouth next was... unexpected to say the least. Aunt Ava had asked her to take over as High Sovereign? She must be worse off than she thought...

Just as the yearling thought that was all her mother had called her for, it would seem the monochrome lioness could read her mind. Morrigan would state exactly what she was thinking, that she hadn't called her for to ask her about. Now her curiosity is piqued. ""What do you need of me?"" She asked. The yearling was willing to do whatever her mother needed her to do to help her family and the Cove, no matter what it was.

Cassandra's thoughts echoed Morrigan own and she still felt hollowed out somehow that she could not immediately go and seek vengeance on the man who had struck down Ava. There were other things to think of now, though. Some of which Morrigan was not even fully aware of just yet... She did know that in the aftermath of all of the war and bloodshed in recent days that she balked at the idea of being a council of one. @Cassandra had a foot int he world of the natives, too, and there would no doubt be some trust issues to mend there. "How would you feel about becoming my Heiress?" Bet she got the offer out there straight away in case she needed some time to think it over.

It was common for the yearling to have echos of both moms more often than not these days. She'd grown and matured from the youth she had been when she lived in the Brook with the rest of her family, and she knew family was important. That had been instilled in her from a young age. Cassandra had no way to know what her mother was intending to ask her of her next, but what would be asked of her next would leave the girl sitting there and blinking at her mother for a few minutes, letting the words absorb completely into her mind.

""I would be willing to be your Heiress mom. The Cove needs to remain strong in the face of what has transpired recently, and I would enjoy nothing more than helping you out."" Cassandra said, inclining her head to her mom as she spoke. Heiress was not expected, but she would take up the mantle if it meant helping her mom where she could.

Cassandra took her time considering the offer, which was a good thing certainly, and Morrigan would not have been offended or upset with her had she rejected it. She was still fairly younger, after all, but recent events would have inevitably matured her and there was little sense in pretending otherwise. "Good," Morrigan said simply, "I'm proud of you and I think you'll do well," came her reassurance after. If Morrigan had been worried about her children putting a target on their backs, that much had been done, so there was little reason to keep them hidden away now. "I'll be holding a meeting soon but afterwards I need to inform our allies of the changes. I'd like you to come with me."

It was a bit nerve-wracking to say the least, to know that she was going to be the Heiress to the Cove. At least she already had a target on her from her mere association with Myrkvi and his siblings. Hopefully she'd do her mom proud as her heir. And that she wouldn't let her down either. ""I promise I'll make you proud mom."" Cassandra said softly, not wanting to let her worries show through too much. She just was worried about letting her mom down, truth be told.

Her mother's next request would be that she come with her to visit their allies after a meeting. Was she ready for that? The yearling didn't know. But she was going to have to be. ""I would happily come with - that includes going to Scilla, yes..?"" Cassandra said, wondering if Scilla would be their first stop with it being so close in proximity.

Morrigan would lean her larger skull into Cassandra’s with affection, feeling once more uncharacteristically overwhelmed with emotion again and was forced to clear her throat before continuing. “I have no doubt of that. And yes, we will go together to the Lagoon first,” she said as she pulled away to look at @Cassandra again, not forgetting her daughter’s attachment to the dark prince who lived there. “Before all of that, I must go and speak with your mother. There’s still much left to sort through…” there was still no sign of farrow, for example. “Much Ori will still need told as well.” She finished wearily, thinking of her small son and wondering how he was faring in the desert. “I will see you when I call the meeting,” she would tell the yearling Heiress before moving to depart to find her wife. exit Morrigan

The yearling pressed against her mother's head as well, almost overwhelmed with her emotions and feelings. She was the coves heir now... With more weight and responsibility on her shoulders now. She might not be able to go galavanting off for daylong trips with Kvi anymore. Speaking of the dark prince, she would need to tell him of the change as well, just on a personal note. Her mother would pull away after agreeing to go to the Lagoon first. It made Cassandra happy to know they would go visit Kvi's family first. But it also made sense since they were literally next door neighbors. ""I'll go to the desert and fetch Ori, let him know what's going on as well."" She said, nodding as her mother said she needed to go speak with her mother and that her littermate would need to be told of everything that had happened as well.

""Okay Mummy. I'll go tell Ori, but I'll be back for the meeting."" Cassandra said, an affirmative nod leaving the yearling before she turned and left as well.
