Aquila marched inwards through lands familiar and now strangely foreign. He knew no border to obey, he knew nothing to stop him as he led forth in their mission. His bronze chest rumbled as his pace quickened into the Brook and surged inwards, deep calls pulsed from his muzzle. War drum heart beat the blood and adrenaline throughout his limbs. Try as he might he couldn't clear his mind as much as he'd like. In the shadows of night, between trees and winter's darkness Aquila thought he could see shapes moving along side of him. Some may have been the literal allies marching with him. But some took familiar, beloved, forms, of his family as if it was any other day in their home years ago. Memories of the days when he and his cousins would dream of their future, the good they'd do. Never did he dream of this.

faevyre.Each step brings them closer -- to the Brook, to the battle, to the shed of blood. The gravity of what she's doing sits heavy with her, but she feels like it's only right to be here, to help. Her claws grip the earth, as if trying to hold onto her boldness and her courage to do this. She steadies her pace next to Morrigan, drawing comfort from the somewhat familiar face and the indirect reminder of Talisa and what she's here for.

Sune had sent her here to do what was right, and she was going to do just that.

Foolishly, at the same time, a part of her thinks of Narcissa and hopes that the fiery woman will be proud of her standing up for something.

Her body was rigid, muscles tense. Ears were pinned to her skull and her tail landed out behind her, her frame carrying her with a confident and unfazed gait. Her shoulders rolled forward and her neck would tuck inward, narrowed eyes darting every which way to observe their surroundings as they trespassed. It was odd, knowing that the lands that were once home to you for years upon years were now suddenly foreign. But she was ready to take it back, to retrieve what what theirs. Her toes would flex and her claws would unsheathe, digging and gripping into the soft ground as they marched.

As @Aquila let out his calls would Valkravn release her own, the challenging chuffs cutting through the tense air. These were the moments she lived for, the moments she had trained for. She would make her family proud today - she would make Valhalla proud.

Heart thrummed boldly within his chest as he marched alongside his wife's cousin. @Aquila leading the herd of their closest friends and allies to take down the brute and his allies that had amassed to push them into the dirt. Even though he did this mostly for his wife -- to pay tribute to how hard she had fought against him -- he would not deny that he was doing this for those that stood beside him and those that stood beside them in spirit. Quiet thoughts praying that his children had either made it out with Talisa or had found themselves a safe place to be. He knew that this would be no private spectacle now and they would know something was up, so he couldn't deny them their curiosity. So instead she angled on an enraged expression as he called out with his kin. Providing war cries and keeping his eyes on his surroundings and occasionally twisting his head to take a look at their flanks.

They stalked through the moonlit trees, Morrigan’s dark cloak a shadow in their midst as she moved with @Faevyre to follow loosely behind @Aquila. Morrigan was unleashed, every bit of dragon fire and wolf’s blood poured into her by Arsynia come to light. The steel of Greyflood ice and Tollaire fire rang true, even wounded as she was. Her heartbeat did not hammer in her chest any longer as she thought it might and her expression had the detached apathy of a predator closing in on a kill. She would raise her own war call alongside the others, aggressively announce their invading presence, prepared to bleed and break to take back what belonged only to the natives. Today, Morrigan was her namesake, a grim goddess of death and a brutal force of nature. Only flesh and blood ripped from her enemies could sate her now.

YOU LEFT ME LIVING WITH A LINGERING SOUL

Under shadowfall the group marched as one in silence. Her coat melded with the night, as it would seem quite a few others in this band of defenders. Vitala's heart pounded in her throat, drumfire hot through her veins as she continued following the urge that pulled her forward into this cause. She couldn't help but feel almost like an imposter. This was out of character for her - to put herself in a position of defense such as this. Though, truth be told, she'd never had to face a circumstance like this before.

But she knew their cause was just. It was what needed to be done. The fire within her licked at her belly and she could feel a new self beginning to mold in her. Her steps were true, her eyes were dead set ahead and her shoulders were squared. She was serious in her intentions to rise for justice. There was no going back now.

Viridian, having decided that he had his fun inciting chaos and causing havoc, has chosen to abandon the pride lands. As a result, the uprising has defaulted in favour of the uprisers.

She walked with the rest, most of which were strangers united with a common goal. Viridian must be stopped, and she would do all that she could to help,

In to the Brook, shoulder to shoulder with the rest, her body tensed and quivering with the anticipation of a fight. She was alert and ready, her muscles flexed, her eyes darting from side to side.

But where was the fight? Where was the defence?

Was it a trap? A trick?

Despite the company she kept her heart hammered with the nerves of it all, but she did not run. She was here to the bitter end, no matter what.

Frustratingly he kept moving. Each pace he expected something, each step his heart raced faster and faster until it felt like it might break out of the cage of his chest. He inhaled a deep breath, felt the stench of iron and blood hit the back of his throat as it still clung in the air. Eventually Aquila intended to lead them to the scene of the pride fight itself, scuffing his feet through the dirt to bury as much of the blood there as he could. His silver eyes watched, wary, and scanned around him into the trees and into the reaches of shadows. Keep your eyes open... He said with distrust. This was too easy. There was no way they should have gotten this far without meeting resistance, without seeing a single sign of someone.

They would be met... with nothing. It was almost eerie, the silence that inhabited the Brook. The Viking was waiting for an ambush or a full on charge, her body tense and ready to retaliate and sink tooth and claw into the heated flesh of her newfound enemies. But when they were greeted by nothing but the sounds of their surroundings and nothing more... Well, to say Valkravn was a disappointed would be a bit of an understatement.

Her attention, although still surveying around them, would be shifted to @Aquila. A simple nod would be given to his words, wanting to ensure that this indeed wasn't some sort of ploy to make the lions gathered let down their guard. But when the Valour began to take his leave, she, too, would find herself cautiously padding away, hackles still fluffed out between her shoulder blades.
