She slipped down the peak with an easy practiced stride. She knew these lands like she knew the tops of her front paws. The new lions in the lands interested her. Oriel wanted what calm isolation could not give her, and like so many before had contemplating leaving this place for another. Her patience had been rewarded, however, and now new opportunities were spilling at her paws. Things had stagnated in the land up until this point, but now it was ripe and juicy and ready for plucking. The only question was what kind of fruit would it be.

She was well aware the dangers that came with other lions; mindsets that might not agree with hers, but she was confident in her prowess with her smooth tongue. You can take that any way you like. Oriel would simply make it work for her. Her gold coat stood out bright against the snow of January in Amaryllis, a beacon of sunshine and warmth as she walked off towards the west.

Now wasn't that interesting? When the lands first opened up, Gwyn had not noticed the scents of those native to this place. He was too busy finding a place for him and others to stay. Now as he is stable he can take his time with the newly unshrouded spots. Thus leading to the discovery that there had been other's living her long before he and the others arrived. One of whose scent he found and decided to follow on a whim.

Perhaps on a whim was too generous to him. It was because the scent was distinctly feminine.

Monster picked his way after her, as silent as he could, the woman's perfume growing stronger as he moved. Eventually he spies a flash of gold ahead, one which, as he moved through rock and snow, resolved into the woman he was stalking. Ah, a pretty thing she was. So he continued, slowly closing the gap between them with each step. ""

A hunter knows when they are being hunted, the golden beauty licks her lips in thought as she walked. She could feel him like one feels the change in pressure, like the feeling of eyes on her. And his eyes were drilling holes. She doesn't turn her head, not yet.

She likes this game.

Easy steps of a long stride carry her along, the steps of a powerful woman. Her head high and regal as she continued on. She was no beast to be caught cowering in these last moments before fate is dumped on her. She knows if she continues west the land will grow sparse and dry, hot even in this dead of winter. Its where she'd intended to go, the heat and sand soothing after all the cold and snow she'd been subjected to these last few days, but, too far and their game would be up. There would be nothing but flat open land and nothing to hide the beast from her gaze should she dare to turn her gaze towards him.

Instead she turns north. It is snowy, still and the grasses are buried under layers of snow, but the land still raises and dips and, when she thinks he might be close, but that they might be separated by the crest of a rolling hill does she turn her head and wink her golden eyes. Hello there?

There is a sort of play here, a game of cat and mouse. However which role they each played was something that could flip towards one or the other. Right now he is the hunter and she the prey, but look at it sideways and it is she leading and he following. It was a delightful test of wills, and the man enjoyed a woman who played along with him. And so the beast crept closer still, a smear of blood against the snow.

The hunt takes them north and he devours the space between them. She pauses and he crests the hill that she had tried to put between them, her wink with a flicker of a smirk. And an increase of pace. The end of the hunt was nigh; her stop to look back at the man a hunting her her downfall. Only, as he nears a distance to truly interact his gait slows. Becoming a masculine stalk. He's caught her, now what was he going to be allowed to do to her? ""

Hello there indeed.

The outsider was handsome indeed. He was a mighty creature thar commanded presence where ever he went, if Oriel was any judge. The game is over and now it was time to see who the winner was. She does not stand and wait for him, no, she had places to be and a life to live. But her stride was shorter then hers and he would over take him eventually. "Hello handsome and welcome. Your one of the outsiders brought in a few days ago, aren't you?" She purred as she spoke, golden eyes scanning over him appreciatively, nice... very nice. "Oriel, and you are?"

Quite the interesting beauty was she, his eyes roving her svelte frame. Predictably they settle on her arse; he cannot help he is a butt man. Closing the distance with his longer strides, her shorter, slower ones prolonging the chase a bit longer. Letting them linger in their little game. She speaks as he catches her, jaws snaking to nip that pert bottom before replying. "Indeed, you must be a native then?" he muses withdrawing and circling towards her front. Presenting his broad side to her to stop her very slow escape. Mmmm it seemed both of them were delightfully, devilishly interested in one another if her glances and words were anything to go by. "I'm Gwyn Casimir lovely Oriel" he whispers, craning his neck to whisper in her nearest ear. mmmm he liked her for sure.

She could feel his breath on her hind end, hit and heavy, teeth nipping suddenly. She flinched with a cheeky laugh, and her hips swung to bump playfully against his shoulder. So he was that kind of male was he? That was nice indeed. "You'd guess right. Lived here all my life, could tell you a thing or too if you liked." Newcomers always fell into two categories; overwhelmed and over it. You either adapted or you fled, there was nothing else about it. She grinned as he introduced himself to her, "Ooh, all big and fancy with a full name huh?" She teased. "So Gwyn Casimir, now that your here, what do you plan to do?"

Oh he so loved it when they played along. Loved it when they burned like he did. He hmmmed at her first answer, jaws nipping at her ear which was oh so close to him now. "Would you now?" he ponders, learning about this place the absolute last thing on his mind. He would rather like to learn all about her by connecting their bodies as one. Thats all that he was interested in. However, patience had to be paramount when they were still testing each other. Then again, he was not inclined to wait long. "Not that fancy considering what I would like to do to you" he continues, toying with her, letting his breath tickle the rim of of her ear. Toying, teasing, devilishly wicked was he when playing such sultry games. He soon speaks again. "Well, I'm sure you can guess, since you seem to be a clever girl." he whispers turning his form so he still blocks her, but now faces her a little more. To better taunt and tease her with. Though once we are done here I would like to take you home. Claimed one of your prides dear and I want to claim you in all the ways that matter" he all but purrs. Come on love, do a little twirl for him and set the table for his carnal feast.

Over it. That's the kind of lion he was. Oriel could almost laugh at how easily she pegged him. He didn't seem interested in what she could tell him. She hummed and then she trotted ahead of him and even gave him the desired twirl as she spun to loom up at him in the eyes. "You think it'll be so easy?" She replied with a twinkle in her eyes. "We've just met good Sir, after all." Ah but the news about him having claimed a territory. So he had become sovereign and with it gained the rights to do as he liked. She liked her lips. "Then I should call you my king? Mm. I like the sound."

Why would he wish to be told when he could discover things himself? Hmm? Besides, words were cheap fickle things and while they had power when he spoke, however most used them carelessly. And my was she teasing him with her actions now. Turning and then taking his dessert away by spinning on her heels towards him. He huffed at her antics."A man can dream" he quipped back, a slight frown on his face, eyes still alight. Come on now, don't torture him so. "Aye, but isn't tangling with someone one of the best ways to get to know them?" he queries, a dog with a bone. Yes the pun was intended. She continues on and he rumbles his purr approvingly. At least she was inclined to allow that. "King has a nice ring to it, but I have been looking for another wife" he said, continuing on with his line of thought. He had been rather, serious about his claim of her in all the ways that mattered; he hadn't had this much fun with a woman in a while. She challenged him in ways that Pistis did not.
