All this screaming from his children raised little to no alarm for the father. This was truly nothing knew. And at first he simply assumed it to be his sons going after their mother as per usual.

It was the urgency however that intrigued him. And the scent of Icefang mingled in.

What he arrives to find leaves him more than amused. As two of his sons latched themselves upon the Matriarch so recklessly. What will you do when they are grown? He muses quietly to himself. She thought herself so high above them all. Expected they all follow blindly. But not these children. Even if he stepped in, even if he bade them cease, he highly doubted it to be enough. They may stop their onslaught today. But even his control over those boys had its limit. They listened to no one but eachother.

Just the way in which he had hoped.

Freja would have heard the screeches and yowls of her children even if she were dead. Or dead asleep, which is what she had been. It was even more exhausting now that her sons had legs and energy to get them places - it had been easier when they were just little pudgy eating machines. Now though - now they were everywhere and getting into the worst kind of trouble. In a way, Freja almost wished they would maintain their terrorist attacks on her, if only because she could take it without trying to kill them.

As Icefang might.

The scent of the White Queen intermingled with that of two of her sons and their father as the piebald woman approached, out of breath and wide eyed. Cass - Whether she meant Cassius or his almost-identically named son really didn't matter, it was just a breath as she heard Cassius' question. Not to try and control the problem, not to assist his wife. And then, like a shadowy pall over the already precarious situation she spied @Renozuri. Slinking closer to @Cassius ♔ and trying to put the black male's body between herself and the spirit, Freja cast her attention back to her sons and their attack on their Queen. And the overwhelming thought that she was raising absolute monsters came to mind.

Renozuri's large form shuffled closer to the others, namely Cassius as he arrives. And Freja. He could practically feel the discomfort coming off of her in waves.

It amuses him, drives him. Gives him something to focus on as the boys fight their Queen. "Icefang, come now, they are simply growing boys." The devil muses, laughing, the sound echoing over the territory some. Head tilts in Cassius and Freja's direction, a low rumble of approval ushering from his lips.

These boys would be strong, they would be exactly as he wanted them to be. Amaryllis would not know what hit it. "They are going to be unstoppable." He praises. They were going to be monsters.

there is a third caterwaul as the fourth of cassius and freja's sons also joins the fray. he barely notices his parents - his grandparent on his way in, paws pounding fast and breath coming in soft pants. dual-toned eyes are focused on nothing and no one save for his target, their matriarch. though caydin may not have met @Renozuri himself, the man's words have already begun to trickle from brother to brother, melting into what is perhaps that innate nature that has lived within them this whole time.

it is heady, it is addicting - and caydin drinks from the fountain like a man caught in the desert. while one brother attempts to go for a forelimb and the other attempts to go for a hind limb, caydin instead leaps. with the claws on all four paws extended, he attempts to land square in the center of icefang's right side like a rabid spider monkey. he hopes that his needle-like claws will be enough to hold a proper grip on the woman's side. should they not be, his milk teeth aim to sink into the flesh there as well, trying to be another secure hold.

She-hulk's weight was overbearing as his chirrup's where silenced by her meaty paw. His ear flicks back against his head as she snaps near it; bidding that he submit to her. "Never!" The muffled screech of the boy would try to pass the paw that was holding him down; holding him back. His tiny body felt like it was being squished under the might of the she-hulk — and yet it was the cry of @Kincade entering the fray that gave the cub a shot of adrenaline he didn't know he needed.

He was not alone.

The cub would try to curl in on himself; hind paws violently trying to kick out at the back of her forelimb; tiny claws trying to tear into her skin in an attempt to nick a vein. Tiny mouth would open as well, trying to chew on the woman's toe as he listened to Caydin also throw himself against Icefang.

Kincade's shrill cry pierces her ears, Icefang flattening the two vessels upon her crown as the boy latches onto her left, hind limb. He is followed by another of the toy soldiers, Caydin's monkey-like leap embedding him to her right side as Cassian uses the rally call of his brethren to fuel his attack. She growls at the sharp claws that tear at the thinner skin of her wrist, resisting the urge to lean forward and place all her weight onto Cassian's stomach and watch the boy's organs spill out. Instead, she ignores the pain of his claws and the baby teeth on her toes as she flexes them, attempting to dig her own talons into his fluffy baby coat. The hind limb that Kincade holds onto is lifted and she kicks out behind her attempting to dislodge him and send him flying into a nearby tree.

It is then she notices the growing audience of @Renozuri, @Freja, and @Cassius ♔ and she is further infuriated as the men watch and Freja helplessly gapes at her. "Grab them!" She orders the parents, baring her teeth in warning as she refuses to release her grip onto Cassian. Ivory crown swings to her right side attempting to snap sharp teeth at Caydin, attempting to grasp onto any part of him and try to rip him off and away from her.

Another brother joins in the fray and Cade cannot help the little murderous bit of joy that flares inside his chest. Too young still to put a name to pride or confidence or arrogance.

As Caydin moves to latch onto their victim, Cade is swung violently around. The queen spinning and snarling, yelling at his parents. Didn't she know that no one told them to do? Not her. Not mom. Especially not mom. But not even dad.

Kincade's mouth had loosened when Icefang tried to flock him away. He felt the bark of a tree swoosh across his back but just barely. Luckily enough. He manages to hang onto her but his head bumps back against her leg with enough force to make him bite his own tongue. Blood fills his mouth and his eyes water over but still he refused to let go. Instead, he attempts to latch on harder than before. Seeking another bite into her muscle.

The ghostly figure of his grandsire materializes beside him. He had not noticed the translucent male before but now he was glad to know @Renozuri would be present to witness this first hand. Well.. hear it anyway. He knew the elder to be blind but did being a ghost change up his senses? Without sight or feel or smell.. what else was there in death?

Behold. The Patriarch chuckles to the phantom as @Freja approaches. The look on her face genuinely priceless. Three of your five legacies. Where the other two were, he didn't know. But maybe it was for the best. He doubted @Icefang ♔ would stand a chance against all of them. Then again..

A sharp stilling glare is flung toward Freja as their Queen demands the children be taken away. Come now, Icefang. The brute clucks, his amusement more than clear. Dear Freja spends her days combating all five of them. Surely you can handle three.

He had missed the initial battle cry of his brothers, too busy playing with his bone that had been chewed and deformed by his constant gnawing. Eventually, he grew bored and he began to wonder through the Brook searching for his brothers or mother, someone to fulfill the void of violent desire in his heart. He catches a flurry of their scent, @Kincade and @Caydin seeming to have been in an ushered hurry. Caelus picks up the pace, hating the idea that he had been left behind out of whatever trouble as he eventually finds the boys heading in the direction of @Cassian's scent followed by Cassius, Freja, and @Icefang ♔.

He overhears the queen's decree to grab the boys, the ivory half-blind monster snarling and swinging his siblings around. Rather than join in, he slips in beneath his parents brushing against @Cassius ♔'s forelimb and then wrapping around @Freja's purposefully widening his eyes into a pleading gaze. "Mama," he whines seeking her attention. Anything to distract her from joining in and stopping his brothers from their attack. If she didn't comply, he was already planning to imbed his teeth into her as he done many times before without a reason, but he feels confident that @Renozuri's lingering presence will back him up if needed.

he can hear the scuffle begin in earnest, but is too focused on his piece of territory to mark to pay attention to who shows up to watch - which of his other brothers are fighting. maybe if caydin had taken a moment to look, he would have seen the ghostly @Renozuri watching on with pride, or the slowly dawning horror spreading across @Freja's face. that, at least, had never stopped any of them before. it wasn't going to stop caydin now.

under his grip, he can feel icefang's body lurch and move with each attempt to send a brother flying. at last, it is finally caydin's turn. her breath comes in hot pants as her teeth close in on caydin's body. his back paws scramble wildly, claws out and attempting to rake repeatedly down her sides as he seeks to scramble farther up - farther away from her reaching mouth, even as her teeth scratch against caydin's sides. while the claws on caydin's left forepaw dig in hard to hold him up, the claws of his right forepaw swing wild at icefang's face, hoping to catch her muzzle or nose and trying to dissuade the queen from trying to grab at him.
