Neeha had made no stops between the brook and the cove. It wasn't that she'd over-exerted herself to get back. Rather that she wanted to get back home and pass on the information she'd gained. It felt important, felt like something @Kvare and @Yuna should know. Not to mention @Sunder and @Pyrrha ♔, her sister was heiress and her mother was their matriarch. Part of her also wanted to show her mother that she was using her skills, working towards becoming a better assassin. One day this would be her way of helping. Her way of securing their safety, of helping Pyrrha or any other sibling in keeping the cove safe and in their family's control.

The princess was still covered in the scent of the Brook when she passed the cove borders as the morning sun kissed the beach. The scent of fresh water and forest clinging to her fur as she hadn't stopped to clean it. Nor was she going to now.

Neeha let a series of short chuffs echo over the beach, a call for the lions she needed to talk to. She knew she didn't need to see all of them but perhaps hoped some would show more than others. Part of it was pride another was to prove herself. She still wanted to prove she had a place as a princess and as a Tollaire. Kvare's words were still on her mind from when she'd spoken to him and taken their family name.

Our main focus is to ensure the safe passage of freed prisoners, Kvare instructed, his claws following the poorly-drawn, crude map of Ecrosia he'd sketched into the sand. Snake-like marks indicated their forces, following a path that lead outside of the swamp and deep into the heartlands, where they group regroup, debrief, and reorganize. Morrigan will likely lead her forces to attack. At which point, our job is making sure any escapees aren't tailed.

It wasn't his preferred choice. He wanted to be in the throes of battle, to seek blood and glory through the swing of his claws, the fervent heaviness of his blade. But so too did Kvare need to exercise reason, and they'd more than enough of an army against the fledgling pride with Illyria alone. No, Caladan needed to provide back-up—to maintain their victory in the wake of any unwelcome surprises.

The relentless drawl of yet another meeting melted away into the autumnal air. There was a shift on the breeze just before her arrival, an electrifying trill that had Kvare's head turning just as soon as the call rang out for them. He spared a brief glance toward @Sunder and @Pyrrha ♔, before getting to his paws, just as @Neeha happened upon them. There is a purposeful, nervous air around her, and she is covered with the scent of Vermeda.

Neeha? he bellowed, an inquiring brow lifting. In the distance, he swears he can also see @Yuna. What's the matter?

She can stand @Kvare's crude (at best) and wrong (at worst) map for only a short while. It eats at her focus on what he is saying however until seemingly abruptly her own paw shifts in to refine and make a few changes she recalled from her trip to sneak into the Mire to visit Rohan. "Better." She mumbles under her breath and then turns her head back to listen to Kvare's instructions without explanation as to why she had done that or how she had details of at least one way into the Mire...

The plan and intrigue holds onto the new heiress's attention like a dangling lure in the water, she the fish. She's not caught yet- there's no danger and any action is very much still just imaginary. But imagine she did. Up until the very moment Neeha arrives. Her sister's presence was a mighty force that curled fingers round Pyrrha's mind and tilted the young leader in training's head towards her with curiosity and concern. She follows along the King's wake until the familiar brown form is in view and Pyrrha moves to stand beside her sister and lean in softly against her. What is it Neeha?

Unexpected form of the dappled child slipping away from the brook's pride challenge left urgency upon her leaving of just another exchange of hands. Disappointment colored thoughts as she'd trailed @Neeha, both expectantly returning to @Kvare to share Cassandra's downfall as queen of the brook. Although she'd not met Wolfbron's current mass, she recalled stories of her father's egregious relations there.

Upon their return she's behind the youth, joining Neeha as she finds both Kvare and @Pyrrha ♔. Already, Kvare had warned of war, discussed sessions of war-planning. Strategic events with which to back-up Morrigan, should the need arise. An inevitability, for it seemed there bolstered more enemies than she'd previously held knowledge over.

Thin grasses waver against an autumnal breeze, ruffling sandy curls as she draws beside the youth. Instead of steal Neeha's limelight, she looks to the girl to produce their news. Tell them.

They were in the middle of something, all of them gathered in one place. Well almost.

The princess arrives slowing and coming to a halt her chest rising and falling quickly for a few moments as she catches her breath eyes darting between @Kvare and @Pyrrha ♔ as their focus falls on her. Her sister's touch is welcomed and the other princess leans softly back into Pyrrha's affection. However, the salty wind of the ocean and the sound of shifting sand have Neeah looking over her shoulder before she can answer her father and sister.

@Yuna arrives behind her and the princess watches the newly crowned queen with surprise. The sovereign's eyes are telling, she'd been there. She'd seen their ally fall but why hadn't Neeha seen her? The princess curses her lack of awareness, she should have seen the curly-furred woman, she should have spread her focus more widely than she had.

Neeha's lavender eyes return to her sister and father, she'd be more alert of her own pride mates next time. She'd not miss such an important lion next time... Of course that also led her to wonder what had Yuna done during the challenge. To defend their ally, to help those of the brook who'd been under siege and eventually lost their home to a usurper.

"Vermeda has fallen" the princess speaks looking between Kvare and Pyrrha before looking back at Yuna as well. She'd then return her gaze to Kvare "A white lioness, smelling of the bluffs, challenged and defeated the high sovereign. The former members of the brook were all banished from the pride"There were no prisoners this time but they had still lost an ally. An ally who'd been family as far as the princess remembered.
