Typhoon left his homeland to see the world by himself, to stretch his wings away from all he knew until that point. Since he left when he was still a cub, he had been traveling with another lion who offered to accompany him, at least until he was old enough to fend for himself. He hated the idea of having to depend on someone, he was a Devoree after all, and he knew he should be tough and self-serving. But even he was smart enough to use others' kindness to his advantage.

But it was time he returned to maybe find his future, his path. So here he was, at where he knew he will be entering his birth land if he crossed it. The black yearling walked towards the entrance of Amaryllis wondering how much it had changed on his time away.

The floppy-eared Queen had come to the Passage only a few times during her stay in Amaryllis, hardly any of that was actually spent recruiting. But there were rare times like today where she wanted to try her hand to see if she could bring in new blood to Caladan shores. She hoped that her hospitable nature would be enough to secure new members, but she wasn't particularly stressed about it. She moved across the sands with ease, ignoring the nausea that built in her stomach. It was only the deep melanistic form of a stranger that pulled her icy eyes onto him. She sent out a soft chuff before pulling closer, drawing to a halt before addressing the stranger. "Hello there. I've gotta say, I've never seen a melanistic lion before yet here you are in all of your glory." She muses with a grin before continuing, "Sunder Tollaire, High Sovereign of the Cove. Are you looking for something in particular?" She would pause, waiting for his response.

Typhoon walked close and closer, determined to make it back to where his life began. But did he want to go back with his father? Not really. It wasn't like he hated him in any way, he just wanted to forge his own path away from the familiar things. It was time for him to go outside of his comfort zone. But then he came across a woman, with ears shaped in a way he had never seen before now. "Greeting ma'am. My name is Typhoon Devoree." He began as he kept a cool expression. "I see, myself hasn't seen someone with those ears of yours." He said not with the intentions of offending but if they saw it as such he wasn't going to sweat it. "As for why I am here. I was born in these lands and after being gone since I was young I had come back to find a fresh start." He said calmly to @Sunder. "Tell me about this pride of yours.." So he could be sure to make a good pick for a home.

'Greetings ma'am. My name is Typhoon Devoree. I see, myself hasn't seen someone with those ears of yours. As for why I am here. I was born in these lands and after being gone since I was young I had come back to find a fresh start. Tell me about this pride of yours..' The Devoree name was one that was not familiar to her but that didn't mean she wasn't willing to give the teen a chance. "As I mentioned, my home is on the Cove. We have a beautiful beach that is quite close to the shore. We are a hospitable group, though we require everyone pulls their own weight by participating in hunts or protecting the pride. There's room for growth in the ranks as well, if you are interested in challenging yourself." She says to him with a small smile, curious to see what he'd think.

"Devorre – aren't you one of ours?" Bruno questioned to announce himself, lingering a small distance away from the coupling of lions. This rogue was dark and young, but a lion with blood ties to Ecrosia could prove a valuable addition to their forces. He watched with a scrutinizing stare.

"I am Bruno, son of Alaric," he introduced himself, not bothering to reveal the fact that he had usurped his father in recent days. The wolves would learn of this soon enough; he was not about to help them in their conniving. "There are Devorres within the mire," Bruno revealed as he arched his brow. Or, was this a son seeking to shirk his family name – a privilege he did not think the Stärke sons would be afforded?

Typhoon took note of who to be known as Sunder said about her pride, glory and power were two words that together summarized what he wanted for himself. That was what he wanted, that was his main reason to be back after being gone for so long. He wanted to be what a Devoree was meant to be, what he was taught any carrying his name should crave for to live well. Open ranks meant there was a chance for him to take and grow into. But then another male came to their presence. He had a familiar scent, quiet the one he would recognize even being miles away.

He turned his head slightly to face the man of curly main. "Yea, I was born in the Mire. I left in order to see the world outside Amarllys for a bit. Now I am back to start making a name of myself, away from being under my father's shadow." And with that he meant he wanted to branch out to other prides. It wasn't as if he hated the Mire, he simply wanted to start his ascension. "I will go with the queen but I plan on coming for a visit to my father someday soon. Until then see you King Bruno." He then turned to the female. "Lead the way," He was a bit excited. Yet he didn't show it on his face.

Her head would tilt slightly at the arrival of @Bruno ♔, offering the young King a polite nod as he mentioned there already being Devoree's in the Mire. '"Yea, I was born in the Mire. I left in order to see the world outside Amaryllis for a bit. Now I am back to start making a name of myself, away from being under my father's shadow.' @Typhoon admits and Sunder can't help but offer him a reassuring smile. She could only imagine what it must have felt like, thinking that you were nothing but your father's shadow. In her Cove he would have plenty room to grow and challenge himself, that much was certain. 'I will go with the queen but I plan on coming for a visit to my father someday soon. Until then see you King Bruno. Lead the way.' Her smile only widens when Typhoon agrees to join her and she beckons for him to follow, though not before addressing Bruno. "Congratulations on your win King Bruno, I'm sure we will be seeing each other again." With another polite dip of her skull she would then turn to move, leading Typhoon back to his new home that awaited him.

The rogue gave his story easily, its tune just about what Bruno had expected to hear: finding himself and leaving his father's shadow. Were he less restrained, he might have let out a scoff at the notion of it – might have made some bitter remark about how fortunate he was to be able to wish away a legacy on a whim. Instead, the new monarch stood like a stone relic.

What did surprise him was the ready knowledge as to Bruno's own ascension. His stomach gave a small leap as he glanced briefly between the pair, the beach lioness even going so far as to praise him for his victory. It seemed his reputation preceded him – this time, a reputation for being more than the most forlorn cub within Ecrosian walls.

"Thank you," he murmured, unsure exactly what he was grateful for. The prize would not be his that day. Standing in another moment of silent contemplation, the young king turned to leave while his mind still reeled.
