ooc: event healing circle for CC/SL medics to help Keligan recover

Though Tilly had not been informed of the specifics of how @Keligan had ended up in the condition he had, it had worried the woman all the same. She had been busy most of morning and previous evening gathering what she thought she would need, looking for some fretful way to settle her concerns in the form of assistance - any she could offer. The lykoi woman had come to the conclusion she was out of her depth - more paws were needed to instrument and deduce how best to treat the fallen king.

Now, a variety of herbs lay before her, hastily bundled in piles but otherwise neatly organised on cool stone. She wasn’t worried about her relative inexperience of the healing craft - that was after all, why she was summoning the medics of the Cove and Lagoon so they might put their heads together and come forth with a plan to treat the weakened lion.

Lifting her furless chin the lykoi woman set out a soft summons - calling forth those gifted if the healing arts to attend.

(Keligan is set in the Healer Cave for this thread, SKIP AROUND HIM. DOUBLE EXP FOR EVERYONE ACTIVE.) The lion had been going in and out of consciousness for days now. Any food he ate and any water he drank was forced to be swallowed by those who watched over him day and night. The toxins from the plants had absorbed enough that he was in pain with every move. He had severe muscle weakness, rapid pulse, dry mouth (despite Keela giving plants to counteract) and the hallucinations of his dreams would come and go. Keela had been giving him sedatives to be in a light medical coma to help him heal. Breathing was light, subtle as he lay on his side on top of furs within the covers of the Cave. He hadn't even realized that he had been taken back to Caladan. Thinking all of the things happening around him were a part of his hallucinations.

Keela had been the one taking care of the former King during the nights so Sunder could spend them with her cubs, with her pride. But there was only so much knowledge that she had acquired since she had become a Lead Medicine Woman of K'omox. The effects of the Angel's Trumpet were severe and it was a waiting game. She didn't know how many he had actually consumed, how long they had digested. She needed help and knowledge from other Medics. She had heard the soft call from @Tilly as she made her way back to the Cove with Kohana and her medicine pouch. The only splash of color was the Otter Skin that draped over her shoulders. As she approached the Lykoi, Keela smiled a small smile. I will be waiting inside with him. Once everyone arrives, I will help explain the situation and what I need help with. Tipping his head, Kohana acknowledged the pink lioness before following his counterpart into the cave where Keligan lay sleeping.

By Tiamat's suggestion, she began her journey towards the Cove where Keligan lived. An ally that supposedly needing healing and she was the best medic to oversee the job, at least she liked to believe that was why she had been chosen. Not realizing that she wasn't going there to heal him specifically but only to watch as other healers took care of him. Once she arrived at the borders, she chuffed for someone's attention -- waiting for a few moments for any beckoning calls before moving in. The last thing she wanted to do was wait an unnecessary amount of time for an escort. She could beg forgiveness later.

Once she located the smell of specific herbs, as well as two lionesses that surrounded a den, Carina took to lowering her head politely to those that she could immediately see. I was told to come assist? she asks, moving her gaze from @Tilly to the den in question, knowing that there was at least one or two inside. @Keligan @Keela

I didn’t quite hear ya

Should she have been here? Probably not. but when @Carina left the pridelands at the soft summons that rang through the air, the princess was inclined to follow behind her. She trailed behind just far enough to not get caught before they was far enough away from home that the Lead Healer had to take her with her wherever she was headed.

She wasn't really sure what Carina was doing, but when the healer paused at the borders before continuing on, Irkalla took that as her cue to scamper up alongside the healer. "What're we doing here?" She asked, aiming to slip between Carina's front legs if she could. The young girl was still small enough to fit there if she wanted to do so. Her eyes peered curiously at any around them, trying to figure out why they were here.

At least this time, she wasn't likely to get her butt kicked by Shrimpy #1 and Shrimpy #1. They were here for some reason, and they were invited.

SUNDER

Her face was solemn as she moved to head towards the family den. Today would be the day that the healers would come together to attempt to mend Keligan's broken body and Sunder was doing everything in her power to keep it together. She couldn't afford to be weak, she had to be strong. He would get through this, he would heal. She wouldn't allow herself to think of the horrible things that could happen, she had to stay positive. By the time she made it to the den there were already quite a few gathered. She would send a soft, appreciative smile in the direction of each before her attention would be moved onto @Irkalla. "You all are here to help my husband heal." She would answer her softly, moving to stand next to @Tilly then as she waited for anyone else to gather. Despite the fact Sunder had seen Keligan in his comatose state for a few days now it still was unsettling to the woman. For the most part she put on a brave face, but some days were harder than others.

There were some noises outside of the cavern and so the snowy white lioness made her way back out, away from her son. Hearing @Sunder speaking, Keela nodded slowly as she approached the seasoned Medic. Looking a glance at the cub, she smiled lightly before turning back to @Carina. Kvare found Keligan lying on the shores. He had consumed Angel's Trumpet. The poisonous plant is normally used with Cautious by the Mog-Urs of Gaia but I feel like.. he took too much on purpose to find the place of Limbo. I just don't know if he was intending death or not. When I was able to make him vomit, I only saw three pieces of plants but I don't know if he had digested more or how long they were in his system before he was found. With a small frown, she sighed. I was Head Medicine Woman of K'omox but I feel like this is even beyond my own scope of knowledge. I was hoping that a fresh pair of eyes would help aid in this situation. Crystal blue gaze looked at the Queen as she shifted to lean into her before turning her attention back to @Tilly and Carina. Wondering if anyone else would show. To share the knowledge they knew.

With a look of surprise he gaze was quickly cast to @Irkalla who had followed her into the Cove. She wasn't mad, most certainly not, but rather pleased to see that at least one of Tiamat's children had shown even the smallest of liking to her. Unfortunately, a lioness (@Sunder) that showed up was quicker to answer the girl before Carina could speak and she nodded her head. I suppose I am. Not that anyone had told her what she was being called here for and judging by the smell of things, it wasn't going to be pretty.

May I? she asks as soon as @Keela explains everything that she had seen and done, witnessed with her own eyes as Carina took a step forward to look at what had transpired and the male that they were referencing. If allowed to move closer, she took a look as well as a quick sniff. Poison, yes... not a smart move. The woman had mentioned something about intending death and she refrained from sighing or rolling her eyes. She couldn't imagine wanting to die on purpose and Tiamat would likely have had the same reaction.

Do you have any Oil Palm or Garden Cress? Both of which were great antidotes for poison. Oil Palm grew out towards the middle of Amaryllis while the Garden Cress was found more often in the reaches of the snow to their north. Both of which will help to sap the poison that is left in his system. Garden Cress has brilliant green stem and leaves with white flowers. The Oil Palm is a bit more brown along the stem with a lot of busy leaves and occasionally orange flowers. Perhaps it was something they had in their stores in the Cove... if not, Carina was going to be going on a long-ass journey to go retrieve either of these.

@Carina would step into the cavern and take a look at Keligan. Making her deductions of how to help, Keela would wait to be spoken to. Black-tipped ears pinned back, worried for her son and if he could be healed. Then the Lagoon's Lead Medic would speak, asking questions. Oh! I do have some Garden Cress. It grows near where I have made my home in the Freeze. Shuffling through her Otter Skin pouch, she pulled out a bundle of the flowers and placed them on the ground. I don't have any Oil Palm though. Is one better than the other? Keela never had to battle the poisoning as badly as now. Mog-Urs always had known how to take caution in using the Trumpet family for their Spirit callings and a Medicine Woman was the one who made the potion for the Shamans. Normally Angel's Trumpet is given in a dose made by a Medicine Woman to a Mog-Ur. I don't know what he was thinking, it's so dangerous to navigate. Looking at the Garden Cress at her feet, she added, Is there a special way to prep these or is it given raw as is?

Thankfully @Keela came prepared and happened to have some Garden Cress stuffed in a strange pouch. Perhaps she should look into getting something like that but for now, she was determined to keep her mind on one thing right now which was healing the overdose victim. Zhere is no different between zhe two and ei'zer works. If anything, she might even prefer the Garden Cress over the Oil Palm but the latter was one of the more easy to grab items since it grew closer to the sandy shores of the Lagoon than the Cress did. How you administer it is up to you, and zhe patient. Since he does not seem too responsive, you have to make zhe call. You can grind it on a rock with anozher rock or simply try and feed it to him. It would be a lot easier to grind it on a rock to make a paste and then administer it to his tongue while holding his head up so it goes down but she had never administer it to a victim that was not awake. From here, she allowed herself to aide where she could and helped guide the woman's paws while occasionally offering @Irkalla any information that she wanted while she watched. fade carina
