Thankfully, with so many of the pride showing out for a singular goat they had no troubles catching it. That meant that there were tons of able bodies to help with removing it once everyone got a bite that needed or wanted one. Juliette had never been one to eat without purpose so she waited until everyone was done to offer her services to store it. Only then moseying back to what she had been doing prior, which was studying a plant known as adam and eve.

A plant that was so conspicuously growing in their caverns that she wondered how many of them were knowledgeable about what it could do to their insides. A plant that looked deadly just by looking at it but if one truly knew next to nothing about plants, could seem just as beautiful as a lilac. Hell just touching it could cause your skin to burn so she wasn't about to touching it with nothing on her paws to counter act it. So instead, she simply continued to study the plant and concoct ways to transport it to a stash without hurting herself or anyone else. exit juliette

Compared to the beasts that have come to surround it in the dark, a gazelle is but a fragile, delicate thing. Mircea moves to strike alongside his kin and pridemates at the first opportunity, a thin leg snapping between the vicious vise of his jaws. He has few thoughts to spare towards the ominous cracking sound or the splintering of bone beneath his teeth, too distracted by the taste of copper that bursts briefly upon his tongue, the warm, soothing trickle of liquid down his throat, fading away all too soon. In so many ways, the gazelle is a terribly lacking prize.

But if he's honest...In this sanguine way, all prey animals fall short.

He draws back when it's all over, (too quickly, perhaps, too abruptly) swiping crimson from his lips as he stepped back to let the others do as they wished with the carcass. It would hardly be fair or proper for such a colossal beast to tear away at an already diminutive meal, and certainly not when there were ladies present. He's not hungry enough for this, though he would help to take whatever remained back to the cache - if there was anything to be left at all.

But before long, he would return to the outdoors to continue plodding steadily along his patrol route. He would scratch his marks into the cliff faces with increasingly razor-like claws, and keep a tan eye upon the shadows for potential threats.

And he would continue pretending that he was better than whatever creatures might skulk in the darkness.

The gazelle is no match for the members of the hollow. This is not the first time they have found lost things wandering the caverns, and he supposes it will not be the last. Hopes, actually. It was easy to corner them underground.

He follows, as usual, the more experienced hunters, and gets in a little taste of the beast’s blood before someone else eventually fells it. Valerian’s dark body sang with energy, a fresh hunger in his belly rising. It was a small catch, and there wasn’t much to go around. Licking his chops, he graciously leaves it to the others and stalks deeper into the caverns to find another option to sate his hunger.

Caillen followed the scent of the Gazelle then she went right into work.

As predicted, seeing that the prey was a mere gazelle, it didn't take much effort to bring it down with these many lions. It was more of an overkill than a hunt. All she did was make sure it didn't escape by blocking any exits it could use to run away. But other than that, she didn't see much need for her to do something else. Once the prey was killed, it was not time to process the meat and get it to the caches. For further distribution of the meat. With cubs around, they needed all the food they could collect, and Caillen was happy to help her pride by doing so.

Without a whole lot of fanfare, the gathered lions were able to take down the pathetic and lonely gazelle. A creature that truly fumbled in the face of so many teeth and hungry eyes that Ember was hardly out of breath by the time it was over. Glancing at those that had gathered she gave her best smile (it was weak, let's be honest) before moving off to go continue her own work. Pushing back to the outer lying borders of the Hollows and scratching her nails in unison upon the wall, sharpening them all the more after the running and leaping she had done.

The scrape against the walls near deafening and yet, peaceful to her all the same, she let out a long sigh as she put her paws back down to the ground to examine them. Putting one claw to her teeth to feel how sharp they were and determining they were fit should anything happen. Then pushing forward, the borders like the greatest prize that she could have received for running with the hunting party. Roaming them incessantly as though anything could happen, hoping that someone was looking at the work she was putting in despite not being of the "in crowd" specifically. Keeping those ears as open as she could (floppy ears be damned) and her eyes alert, waiting for danger. exit ember

As she had hoped, the hunt was over quickly, and thanks to the overwhelming size of the hunting party in comparison to their prey, the gazelle likely didn’t have too much time to even realize what was happening. Due to the smaller size of their prize, she didn’t feel it necessary to try and get anything from the kill while it was fresh. She was more than content to take something from the cache to ensure none of it went to waste. Lingering long enough to ensure nothing was needed of her, she finally made her way back towards the central areas of the pridelands to go and rest a bit before resuming in her efforts to try and familiarize herself with the winding twists and turns of the tunnels.

Easy peasy. Angelo couldn't even get anywhere near the gazelle with how many of them there were gathered to bring it down. So he just lurked in the background, keeping a watchful eye out in case it somehow broke free from the hunters that actually could finagle themselves into a useful position and took off running in his direction. Which it didn't, because the hunters of the Hollow were actually really good at their jobs, or they just made it look easy. Either way, he didn't have to try particularly hard at all, which was more than okay in his book.

It was a simple hunt, though Dmitri had known from the beginning that it would be. His presence wasn't really even needed, he thought. Still, it was good to show up for such things and be useful in any way he could be. Given his size, he ate quite a bit, which meant he ought to help return the favor whenever he could. He wasn't the only oversized feline in the pride either, which just compounded the issue.

Still, he thought they could manage getting the meal back to the cache on their own with how many were there, so he didn't really stick around. Better to go conserve his energy.
