The pit was not a welcoming place. But it had a purpose. He remembers the wars from what felt like ages past, that had happened here. He had done his best to remain an observer, lingering with a fire in his belly for violence. Then it had turned into something horrific; the potential for a father to be turned against child. He wondered if those old wars, displeasures had been carried forth. The Bezra children had been turned into weapons. Beelzebub had paid that price in blood.

He wished often, he could have sheltered them all from it.

But that melancholy was not why he was here. With war still on their horizon and many years of idle living catching up on the man, he took to this place to train, in search of an opponent. Though he had not felt healthier or further in potential than he ever had now, remaining fit and sharp was a conscious effort. Lean muscle did not come automatically to him now. Wolfgang knew it would only be a few more years before the cycle of time caught up with him. Until then, he would fight it.

her most recent illness had brought about deterioration of well-honed muscle, something that as she got older could not be afforded. had times been like before her involvement with the savante and with vermeda, it would have been a different story but the more newcomers to amaryllis, the more likely war would be at their doorstep. it was essential that she take time now to bring herself back to shape before enemies tried to take advantage of those weaker than her.

she approached the pit with careful admiration, having never stepped foot in it for the purpose of training before. come to think of it, the last time she'd fought anything outside of prey had been nearly five years back. an interesting fellow stood amidst the pit as well, but it was not clear to the cleric whether he was here with the intent to battle or to admire as well. she cleared her throat softly, good eye focusing onto his face as she moved to stand face to face with him. " were you looking to train? i'm aelynthi. "

Wolfgang doesn't have to wait long for another soul to emerge over the lip of the great crater. The woman was a dark, scarred thing with unusual white mottled markings. She had his attention even before the polite clear of her throat rang out and he listens to her question and introduction in one.

"Greetings. I am." he rumbles evenly. "My name is Wolfgang." It seemed crude to outright attack; better to let her set the pace lest there be a misunderstanding. It seemed unlikely, but Wolfgang was a well-versed creature and patient.

"A spar, perhaps? A test of strength." he invites as he settles into a defensive poise, ears slightly flattened and limbs spread for even balance. "I am ready when you are. May we earn Odin's favour."

Zahra had been thinking on practicing her skills today. Now with a rank on her shoulders again, she felt the need to get better not only at poisoning but fighting too needed to be turned great. She knew many fight were ahead of her, with the Rike lurking around she was sure sooner or later a fight would reach her as most of the Sigrun has gotten since the first arrived.

She went to the pit where most of her training had taken place into. But she sees it was already on use by two lions, both unknown to her. As such she desires to let them be but watch at anyways. That while she did her own things. She started to jog around, wanting to work on her stamina. With increased threats to her and her pride it was time for her to become great like her father was before her.

well, not getting attacked on sight was already a positive in her consideration. he very well could have just went for it, but much like a gentleman, the stranger had waited and answered her question just as politely as she had asked. a small smile stretches across her face as he introduces himself and confirms her thinking. " wolfgang, a pleasure to meet you. a spar it is! " her lack of experience would surely show against him, carefully watching as he settled into a defensive position. she does not know of the odin he speaks of, but she dips her head curtly in agreement, even if her personal views aligned with the deity she had grown up with.

with little else to do but charge in, the colossal woman rushes forward head on at wolfgang to close the gap between them. ears lowered against her skull as she attempted to jut her right shoulder forward as a battering ram, intending to drive it into the sensitive flesh between his left collarbone and sternum in hopes of weakening his sturdy positioning ( here ). simultaneously, she sought to snake her head forward and down a few inches to attempt to sink her teeth into his right ear, hopeful to grab hold and use it as an anchor. she tries to keep her back legs spread apart equally to maintain balance with her right foreleg predisposed.

She accepted the terms, and Wolfgang remained prepared. His ears were loosely flattened, eyes narrowed and balance spread amongst his grounded paws. His tail swished slowly behind him, thoughtfully, calculating as he awaited her approach.

She closes the gap with a headlong rush, her shoulder a ram that finds impact to his left collarbone. Pain blooms in the muscle but it satisfies him; he would not be pleased to see her pull punches. Training was just practicing for the real thing, after all.

He feels her teeth snap for his right ear. Already flattened, teeth pierce the maneless, dense flesh behind his crown and leaves punctures; a nick of the tender ear itself but no grip.

Wolfgang retaliates silently, ignoring the ache in his left shoulder as he reaches his left forelimb in an attempt to shunt his claws into the dark woman’s right inside elbow. His jaws simultaneously reach for the right side of her face, attempting to catch her across the right cheekbone with a close his canine teeth.

Her attempt to use herself as a literal battering ram pays off in the loud thwump of muscle and bone slamming against one another, the pain of her attempt aching along her upper right shoulder as a warning of the bruising to come. Her mark for his ear misses in overshot, teeth grazing along his crown with the slightest taste of copper in her mouth. It was not something she enjoyed, a quick grimace overloading her facial features before thoughts regain focus for the fight.

She had failed to notice the onlooker prior, but their form remained a fuzzy red blob in her peripheral vision for a moment. Her moment of distraction allows for her to be blindsided, literally, as his claws dig into the tender flesh of her inner right elbow and his teeth meet their intended mark inches below her blind right eye. A lowly feral growl rumbles in her throat, the closest thing to a threat she's ever vocalized in her life.

She tries to retaliate by attempting to dig her teeth into the flesh behind his right ear once more, wanting more than ever to mirror the damage he was doing to her. The colossal woman digs the claws of her remaining paws into the terrain for extra grip as her right limb stayed off of the ground caught in the entanglement of his claws, tail swaying angrily behind her as a balancing rudder.

Wolfgang feels his claws make purchase in her dark fur and his teeth soon connect to the dark side of her face in a lancing bite, It was perhaps a low blow to go for her blind side. Now closer, he had realised it. Wolfgang knew a real enemy would not hesitate to abuse a weakness in their opponent, for that reason he doesn’t feel guilty. It was a spar after all.

The Bezra man hears her teeth snap toward the right side of his upper neck again, and pain blossoms behind his crown as she finds purchase. Fresh punctures appear past that dense fur upon the skin and muscle beneath.

Wolfgang gives up on the grasp of his left paw and tries to tear at her right foreleg with his claws as he aims to return it to the ground. Roughly he would attempt to snap his head up, trying to butt the top of it jarringly against her jaw. Likely, he would bleed for it against her teeth. But what was proper training without a little spilt?

Success! Blood lines her teeth from the successful wound to his crown, just as disgusting as before. It was still appreciated in the sense that it signified her accuracy was alright. Something she worried about was her depth perception with lack of sight in her right eye, but for the most part she had navigated the territory decently since losing it.

She hisses loudly as his claws rake their way away from her elbow, rending flesh on their way out. With her right paw finally freed, she sought to strike both limbs forward in an attempt to dig unsheathed claws into the flesh located behind his left and right shoulder blade simultaneously. It was risky s hell to free up both forelegs, but she could sense the intensity dying down which meant they would not be t it much longer. She is caught off guard once more, but by a defensive maneuver she had never witnessed before. His dense head shoves into her jaw from underneath, forcing her to bite her own tongue from the velocity of his blunt hit. Blood wells again in her mouth, but this time, it is her own.

Wolfgang feels his claws rake down her dark fur as he returns it to the ground. though he takes no joy in it. He found it hard to hold back when it came to practice.

He feels her claws dig into the tender flesh either side behind his muscular shoulders, tearing skin afresh. The Bezra man struggles against the grapple, her matched weight a burden even upon his bulky form. She was lithe, but taller than him and well-built. No matter. He feels the toss of his head connect and although it jars painfully at his skull he could tell it had taken her off guard.

With a rumble Wolfgang attempts to make a mighty shove of his broad chest, trying to shunt the dark lioness over backwards whilst both her paws were snaring at his shoulders.
