Being allowed out of the den meant more places to explore.

Seifrienriosa had mixed feelings about that; she was excited, of course, but there was also an underlying nervousness that caused her feet to shuffle along the terrain, anxious about discovering more of the land she called home. Part of her felt like she needed to wait for her Mother or Father to escort her around - but this... this was their pride. That's what her parents said... so she had nothing to worry about.

She walked a good bit aways from the family den before she peered up to the sky, feeling the soft landing of snowflakes as they descended from the skies above. Jaws parted, and her tongue stuck out some, attempting to eat at what fell from the sky above.

The pines, they often whisper

They whisper what no tongue can tell

It had been a while since she had been walking. But her trail felt never ending, a path with no true destination. She didn't even know how long she had been walking. This was such an unfamiliar land and she so desperately wanted to explore, wanted to find a spot to hide in, at least for a while. But there was nothing she could see. "I wonder..." the young lioness muttered as she trudged along, dragging her paws a little.

In the distance she could see something that might resemble a place for a pride to live, a home. And she instantly froze. Had she crossed that far into enemy territory? Being so unfamiliar with the lands, she had not yet recognized the scents of the varying prides and was unaware of where they lived. She'd moved further, as if her paws were moving out of their own accord, while she'd been lost in thought. Not too far, she noticed the small form of a cub. Though she was intrigued, she didn't move any further and flopped heavily onto her belly, hoping to hide in the grass. But the sound of a heavier body flopping onto the ground somewhere was more than likely quite easily heard.

Her focus had been upon the snowflakes falling from above - tongue trying to lick out at the few that fell before her face. However, in doing so, she swore she heard an odd noise from afar in the dead Plain grasses.

Ears flattened on her head, and the young girl found her dual eyes peering about. "Momma?" She spoke aloud, tiny paws taking her a bit closer - but the smell started to smell... not like home. That was odd. "Where you?" She asks, a frown on her face, nose sniffing around some of the dead grass with her ears remaining pulled to the back of her head - unaware of the potential danger.

She'd tried so hard to flatten herself among grass and snow, tried so hard to not be noticed. But clearly she did not have the skill for it...unless she were smaller. She did have the right idea, just not for someone this big. And of course she didn't go unnoticed. Dual eyes much like a forest melding into the ocean sparked a little as she lifted her head when the cub called out. "Over here," Etain responded in a gentle voice, shifting a little so the cub could see her, though her eyes darted around carefully, trying to see if perhaps the little one's mother was nearby.

"Are you exploring as well?" Though she could be mistaken for a grown lioness, she did sound pretty young. And she was still trying to make herself small, less intimidating, to avoid scaring the little one. "I-I'm sure your momma is around, making sure from a distance that you're alright. At least that's what I'd do...I think..."

There was new life in the Plains, and although Wolfgang had been very careful not to step on the new parents toes, he had also deeply appreciated the assistance of his pride mates when he and his mates had raised their brood of nine, all those years ago. So he lingers in the cool grasses nearby, a defensive sentinel enjoying the weak winter sun with squinted brown eyes.

He missed his own children; remembered how little they had been. Fatherhood had changed him. Perhaps for the better. Though he wasn’t clearly in view, and hardly had wanted to disrupting the new princesses and princelings, it soon becomes obvious the gentry is needed to intrude.

There is a lurking, unfamiliar form. This deep in their territory. Wolfgang straightened up where he lay, tail tip flicking pensively against the frozen earth. He watches carefully from his distance. If this were a new members after all, there would be no harm done, he decides. He would investigate, first.

“It is very brazen of you to cross our borders." he rumbles lowly, his voice a gravelly warning as Wolfgang looms protectively behind the downy form of @Seifrienriosa. His dark eyes were stern and displeased as he peered at the yearling, peeking from the grass “I suggest you explain yourself, girl.”

I'm gonna wait out past the shadows, and breathe the bitter taste, I'm gonna drink the lonely down, I can feel it all around

There was a commotion, somewhere. Fae barely heard it above the sound of the wind whirring the winter grasses. She was small enough that she'd easily slipped below them, affording her a strange sort of anonymity. She could travel much of the tall grasses of the Plains virtually unnoticed, her dusky and dark fur blending in with the rich soil the ferns burst from, their own colors browned and tanned by the receding winter. By the time curious little paws brought her bowling through the flora, the sound of @Wolfgang's voice causes her to stop right in her tracks.

Curiously, hazel eyes peered from between the roots, the forms of Wolfgang, @Etain, and @Seifrienriosa taking shape. Her heart begin to flutter in her chest, the roguish scent emanating from the stranger woman causing the fur along the back of her to raise, her eyes to grow wide and wild. Part of her wanted to remain hidden, right where she was; but seeing the fellow frightened cub, Fae quickly felt compelled to slip behind the grasses and cautiously make her way toward her, only just slightly younger; silently, she aimed to come up beside the princess, silent and shocked still.

Khadija walked around the borders, wanting to check on them. She didn't have an actual rank or official task she had to do. But she felt like she should at least help leadership keep an eye to their home. She wasn't an skilled fighter yet but that didn't stop her from trying to protect her home and those within it. She wasn't going to wait for someone to ask her to do something she thought was needed. She would just do it herself.

Soon her path drove her to a group of lions. An adult, two cubs and a yearling. Which didn't seem to be of their own. Ears flattened as she rushed. There was still some indecisiveness on her next actions but doubt wasn't an option. "Leave!" She commands, she held no rank but she was able to to still defend her home right?

The Lead Scout was always on patrol but she had been on the other side of the Plains when the ruckus started. On the way towards the group, Tulie found some mud and glided herself in it. Covering her pelt in the muck, she worked on disguising her body. Her scent was covered by the mud as she rubbed every inch of her body as she finally walked out of it. It was cold but it would pass as the mud adjusted itself to her body temperature. Keeping herself low to the ground, she stayed in the shadows, hoping to stay blending in as she watched from a distance. The lioness watched from her post, hiding behind a log, pretending to be nothing. Just a figment of imagination.

The young princess could hear some commotion not too far off. Her dark ears twitched with curiosity and her vibrant graze looked around. She flexed her small dark claws and finally she decided that she would go and check out the scene. Surely, it would be okay for her to see, maybe it was even part of her royal duties! With a new energy beginning to take over her body, she galloped forth and burst through the tall grasses. Much to her surprise there were actually a lot of lions about, her sister, some girl she’s never seen before, and a lot of other Lorien citizens. It seemed the girl that didn’t smell like home was being asked to leave, and the fur upon her spine began to bristle. She quickly walked towards her sister, Careful, she warned her. She didn’t know who the girl was but maybe she was up to no good, waiting to hurt the princesses.

Since being able to leave den, Setri had been eager to explore. She was not far off when she heard Seifri call for momma, but hadn’t thought much of it until the sound of a stranger reached her. Then again, most of the pride were still strangers to her, but their momma had tried to inform them of some of the names when they heard voices in passing outside the den. She crept closer, stopping a short ways back at another voice. Male, and stern, asking for an explanation. So it was a stranger! And not one that was meant to be here. Setri watched as another cub much larger than all her sisters came to stand near Seifri, and the princess was quick to join them. She slid up on her littermate's other side, fluffy pelt bristling as she glared at the intruder as yet another joined them, demanding the bronze one leave. Siofera was there too, arriving just at the same time as her, with a warning of caution that Setri nodded her agreement to. @Siofera @Faline @Seifrienriosa
