Aurochs missed the Plains. Having a presumably hostile pride right jab in the middle of the savanna sorely interrupted his wanderings, and the soreness was all the greater for the home that he had lost. Not that he'd been there much because he'd hated prides but Vio had been a tolerable king in tolerable conditions. Now that he'd seen a lot more challenges over a lot uglier terrain, he thought how he missed living here.

Never enough to do anything about it. The alternative - rogue life with little danger - appealed so much more. This too was less appealing than riding on the coattails of someone with more self-sacrificing impulses. Someone like Lucien. From what Aurochs knew of the guy, he was a total square. Responsibility incarnate. No wonder Violarum had given him a high rank. Lucien probably saw the work as a reward. Aurochs smirked to himself as he approached the borders where the scuffle was increasing.

He stayed on the safe side of it, watching the fight occur between the noble dun male and the deep purple one who, he noticed, still had the same highlights, and this realization compelled Aurochs to find someone to gossip to. Someone... feminine. Unfortunately they all seemed to be part of the invader's crew. Invader guy sure had a lot of lionesses here. Aurochs delicately sniffed at the border signs to confirm this and lifted his head back up with an appraising, level expression.

Would total square Lucien shoo all the girls away? If not immediately, out of some outburst of nobility, then could the cowboy really attract interesting girls as king? There were so many women here... some of them had to be lonely and looking for a hurt puppy like Aurochs. He was much too sore and embarrassed from being beat up by a spicy girl at the Scilla challenge to try to hit on any right now, but. And that was a definite but here. There was some definite butt here.

Just like when she had first met Aeistrios and had truly bonded with him, Reah was never too far from him. Her dark figure had been there the entire time, observing the battle that took place. She had remembered when Aeistrios first fought that stranger months and months ago, when the pair were still rogues. He had come out victorious, and ever since then, her King had never tasted loss.

He seemed invincible.

She felt pride as her king ripped and teared into the imbecile who thought he could take the crown.

She had chosen a good and worthy mate.

She couldn’t help but smirk to herself as she continued to watch it all go down. She was like a shadowy hawk in the background, and she was ready to swoop in and strike if anyone else dared to cross her border.

Reah couldn’t help but think how boring this was all becoming. All these constant challenges for the prides of Amaryllis, it was turning into nothing new. In Reah’s mind, the dun brute was a complete and utter fool for challenging._{BG — ART — CODE}

Was it foolish of the boy to still think of this as home? Inflamed by stories from his older siblings, the boy had simmered on the place lost quite nearly before he could remember it. It is this lingering disgruntlement that has him creeping through grasses and undergrowth now.

The cold was bitter on his plum coat, and it was difficult to blend in. Regardless, the boy creeps to a point he can watch the battle clearly, melding into a small mess of brambles that are too big for an adult to hide in - but ideal for a teenager. Gramercy stews as he settles to his belly, uncertain whom here he wanted to win.

On one hand he wanted the interloper - the dark one - to lose, because he’d beaten his father. On the other, he wasn’t mighty happy with Lucien either. Although he didn’t understand entirely what had transpired, Gram did know Anniston had not been pleased with him. All the young Frei could do was watch.

This time around, Laerra mostly goes to do exactly as Amara had suggested she do as a Lead Scout. To attend these challenges in an effort to get to know who would lead following them. She didn't make a huge point to hide because this time, the fight was happening at the borders rather than inside of them. Still, however, she made the time to cover herself in a scent that did not belong to Wolfbron nor would it trace her back to any particular pride. Simply a scent that existed in between: a rogue.

A simple lioness that was certainly growing into her large stature. Shifting her body awkwardly upon the scarce scattering of trees that lay outside the Plains. Rubbing against it and then moving down to brush into the dirt below. Eventually taking a few more long strides before settling herself to watch the fight. Occasionally letting her gaze wander to the other spectators.

Only as her eyes continued to sweep the area did they lock onto the male who was the outsider. She remembered him and only now was it coming into focused. She remembered him and the boy that had been with him. A prince but a prince no more; and this male that had been only half forgettable was coming back for their home.

(This is gonna be after the Rainforest and Mire visits on his way to the Bluffs for Keligan, due to timeline of fight start date)

The lion had already talked to the Rainforest Leader and the Mire Leaders in terms of alliances. Now Keligan was heading west towards the Plains and then the Bluffs. But what caught his attention was that of a challenge call. Flicking his ears, the Cove High Sovereign didn't know what that could mean in terms of an alliance. Having only seen @Renfri at the Passage when he was there to recruit a lioness named Willow.

Coming up closer to the territory, he stopped on the outskirts of the borders to watch the remainder of the challenge, which was seemingly nearing to its end. Depending on who won, it would decide on the alliance talk or not. In which, if it came to it, he would simply offer refuge for those in the Plains to make home in the Cove if they so wished. Sitting to observe the end of the fight, he would wait to see who came out the winner this day.

Although she didn't particularly care for challenges, she was quite intrigued to check the new place out. The plains hadn't even existed during her last stint in Amaryllis and she was quite eager to poke around while everyone else was preoccupied watching the two men brawl. Although she approached under the guise of watching the fight, she kept glancing left and right to get a better view of the place. It was nice. Pretty green. Honesty, it seemed exactly like somewhere she'd like to live if it weren't for the whole pride that already lived there. Bummer.

The Lumine warrior moved through the Plains. Her large body pushed through the fall grasses. She was almost like a shark, drawn to the thick scent of blood. As she approached she could see her king ruthlessly fighting for his crown. She smirked and she walked closer towards the borders. She could see that some strangers had chosen to spectate, but thankfully they were smart enough to stay outside and not trespass.

She would walk along the borders for now. She didn’t say a word to the observers but she would display her large stature and long claws and fangs to them. She was the lead warrior of the Plains, and if anyone wanted to push the limits, they would have to get through her first.

Her black fur clung to her half-starved frame, as she wandered the land. She had been near these plains before, but had been busy trying to sacrifice to her Gromm, and yet now... she was not sure if Gromm still watched over her. She ambled along the border, approaching the battle that she could here with muted interest. As she neared it, she spoke, the curse leaving her- "Пусть погибнут неверующие" Let the unbelievers perish.

A curse for them all, really as she traipsed over the border and watched the fight with interest, her lunatic expression fixated on the males who clashed. Marja stood silently now, her curses fading into soft whispers. "Пусть погибнут неверующие" Let the unbelievers perish..

So, she watched, her ire building as she did so. Watched, and waited. Learning what she could.

Aeistrios and the challenger clash, and Wolfgang’s stands attentive, a careful eye upon their pride mates. @Renfri has clear instruction for him and Wolfgang obliges with a nod. “Very well.”

He moves past her, on his guard to circuit the other Lorien members with a searching eye past them. Several had arrived, obliging their border but as far as he could tell, none had yet crossed it that shouldn’t have. Wolfgang halts, his dark gaze sharp and warning. He would not hesitate to defend Lorien’s territory - it was his duty, especially with Aeistrios so preoccupied. No harm would fall to his pridemates on Wolfgang's watch.

The challenge was close to the border of the Plains. She was not friendly, and as a result, she would have preferred to keep from crossing the border. Tiamat was not looking for a fight today but was rather simply curious. By the time she reached the border the fight was already underway, the large purple male who ruled the Plains clashing with a man she recognized from the meeting of leaders that Ronin had called. He had fought with the then-heir of the Plains that day, she recalled. It seemed he had hoped to return and reclaim his home.

Tiamat was hoping that the stranger would win, even if she didn't know much about him. For all she knew they would be enemies too, but there was something about those currently ruling the Plains that she just did not like. It didn't help that they had unseated her favorite king to needle at in the passage. She rather missed Violarum.

Stopping at the border, she hung back from the crowd, watching the two as they clashed in a vicious fight for the crown. Her sea-colored eyes were pinned to the two males as they fought, waiting to see what the outcome might be.
