More and more arrived after him and fights were already starting to rumble. Vermier showed up and spewed some sort of insult to a lioness who was cheering on the challenger (Alexander). Periwinkle gaze glanced around as a lion charged after Cassandra and then another lion was talking to a lioness. Ears flicked as a stench hit his nostrils. Ears pinned down against his skull as he caught sight of @Caltáriel. She had the same smell as Roarke, the bastard who broke his nose. The Summit was a very clear enemy of the Cove and there so happened to be a potential prize. Standing up, he narrowed his eyelids and then at first slowly approached her. You are coming home with me. His tones were gruff and deep. Despite his nasal-y undertones from his broken nose bridge, he'd manage. Claws were extended and jaw slightly agape as he then charged for the lioness. He ATTEMPTED to knock her over onto the ground, claws ATTEMPTING to grip her form to hopefully pin her down.

Jean-Claude had yet to see his brother in the flesh since his return and how fitting was it for him to find Vermier in the heat of battle for his home. The dark male crossed over his brother’s borders with little thought as the sounds of the challenge rang louder and louder in his ears. There was already a noticeably large amount of onlookers, many of whom JC had never seen before or heard of. Everything was still too new, but it was easy to see that from their old home to this one the lions never failed to stick their noses in places they didn’t belong. That was evident by the skirmishes that had broke out along with the challenge. Darkened lips curled up in a snicker as he took stock of the lions that had gathered and pointedly that none of the family had yet to arrive to support his brother. Could the be a good or bad sign? He wasn’t sure.

He circled slowly finding a spot to lower his hind to the ground, emerald eyes passing over the one familiar face among the crowd. Riordan was already surrounded by others, so JC had no desire to interact with the Merle man again. Besides he seemed to be in favor of the challenger while JC was not. So he sat alone, observing, waiting for the Dieudonné to arrive, to show their support for Vermier. For now he would do nothing, say nothing, no one knew who he was thus he would not be singled out, and the best way to learn things he didn’t know was to sit back and listen.

So finally those piercing eyes would land on his brother as he fought, whom had significantly more scars since the last time JC had seen him. Including the vacancy of the tail he definitely remembered him having. But the Diuedonne were no strangers to battles or scars and wore them with pride as Vermier would do after this battle too. He didn’t need to worry, he knew his brother could hold his own. Dieudonne were meant to rule, they would come out victorious today as they had many times before.

The challenge rang out and Ronin would move towards the call, pausing briefly to tell his rambunctious children to stay, in the most threatening tone of voice he could command. A sharp look would also help to tell them it was not safe to follow (hopefully) before he would leave, his limb though less pronounced than at the meeting was still evident as he made his way from the den to the Hollows.

Arriving, he would pause at the edges, taking in the scene. Alexander once again challenged for the Hollows, a move that he wasn’t at all surprised by, given their earthen religion. It only made sense that he would challenge for it, but would he be successful? How many Savante’s would be maimed in this challenge? The small gathering of Oasis members was to his left, but he lingered away from them for the moment. Gaze shifted over those gathered, noting that a brook Lion leaped in front of @Cassandra. The warmonger tensed, despite no longer being King, and the alliance he had procured void, he would instinctively move towards her. Coming to her free side he would sit, his right limb held slightly off the ground.

You look like shit.He would comment with a wink, his gaze shifting down to the jet black girl to her other side. One of your daughters? He would ask, head tilting to the side. He would nod to the girl in a friendly fashion, but he did not make a move to introduce himself. It was probably best she didn’t know him…right?

The Alacine woman did not start as she felt eyes lingering on her, and turned her head in a polite glance toward the Merle form of a stranger. She had not expected the question on the lioness’s lips, and her narrow head tilted in her mild surprise. “A deity of these lands. Do you know of her?” Aspen answered @Vizzi. A cursory glance of the woman’s shoulders and steely pelt made her no Alacine, but Aspen was not so secular and severe as to hoard her beliefs to herself. Maua was, after all, a purpose to be shared and celebrated. “I am merely a follower of her will.”

Was @Sedona not entertained? He was talking about felony murder here. He was dimly aware that she wasn't interested, and by her looking away he was only further driven to bring her attention back. "I've seen lots of other morbid shit, you know. You can ask any time." he offered awkwardly, a light edge pressed into his voice to tell the awkwardness to go away. She'd brought up how she was so tough and now she was ignoring him, like watching a man's brain get scooped out of his brain wasn't enough for her?

The other lioness @Ember had also failed to hinge intrigue upon his lurid tale. He glanced past Sedona - not difficult, the little one, who looked more like am angry rabbit but still gratingly squeezable - to look to the lady his own size. She looked so old in her expression. Thousand yard stare. "I bet you have a lot of stories," he noted. Tell women they looked interesting. That sometimes worked. But don't tell them their body was interesting, that didn't.

And - to his rescue - to escape this distressing situation of two damsels - another female! She must have seen that he was floundering here. She was obviously not related to either of the other two. He would rather have the matched pair but he immediately decided to cut his losses and focus fully on @Léonie. His head swung to face her, stretching his neck a bit to unconsciously lean toward her while keeping his shoulders steady. Tensing, a bit, as the usual chaos picked up. "I'm Aurochs, and I was just telling the others how dangerous these things can get." Emphasis to note: And he was right. "See, the fighting is over there. Because I am over here. Making it clear that we are one big gang who nobody wants to mess with. Even though you smell like a pride, nobody's gonna bother you when you're with me." At least they Better Fucking Not interfere. Bro code said no bringing a war into some guy just trying to get laid.

Nephthys was not beholden to the same rules her husband had so sternly laid out for their children. It was attractive to see him being such a protective parent and Nephthys was tickled pink that she'd found herself such a good one. The lioness was not about to miss such an exciting show, especially considering the one guy was from Andal. It was the family they were trying to avoid, yeah, but a free show was a free show.

Nephthys had lingered at the doorway and yelled Listen to your father! before slinking off after her husband. She knew enough members would stay close to home to keep them safe while she brushed off her duties and relaxed. It didn't take long for her to settle next to her husband, emerald eyes alert as she swept the scene. Oh, fighty bois. God, she was already bored.

There was no real reason for her to be there. In fact, if you asked her, she'd probably be unable to tell you why she had come. It surely was not the friend she was determined to make, the one who had been so distressed at the last challenge. Surely it was not him that drew her here to the chaos, to sit alone on the sidelines.

Elsie didn't know... well, any of them, really. There were familiar faces, sure, but they were mere acquaintances at best. Even the Queen of the Brook earned little more than a fleeting smile of acknowledgement as the flop-earned girl set herself down some distance from the fighting.

Wolfgang follows the high sovereign and other member of Vermeda to the call, his mind distant. Obsidian Hollows had not changed since he had last lived here, and the tunnels are familiar as he takes into the territory he had once called home. The sound of fighting echoed off the stone walls, and although it did not bother him, Wolf could already smell blood on the air.

He strides forward to join the other brook lions, but a scent catches his attention that immediately changes the Bezra man’s course. A rumble falls from his lips as he sidles up to @Ania fondly, trying to ignore the sharp scent of the Mire on his wife’s pelt as he brushes an affectionate nose down her flank before he comes to rest beside her. “How are you faring my dear?” he asks lowly, a protective hulking form at her side. Who must I strongly encourage to release you.

But since she was separated from her family being too young no one taught her about the dangers the world could bring. She explored the place, finding funny tunnels and more exciting things. She sniffed around, finding funny columns(Lava tubes) which seemed quite interesting. She liked what she saw, yet she heard commotion ahead, which stole her attention away from the lava tubes. She had known Illyria had enemies. She had known such things could be dangerous. But never had she anticipated being swept off her feet so swiftly, so violently. A soft gasp exhaled from her lips as her paws fell from underneath her, the rabbit carcass hung so delicately between her teeth falling from them now. His massive paw pressed roughly into her flank, his ambush quickly taking the inexperienced Caltáriel by surprise; his strength unwavering, and so very similar to the man who had maimed her before.

How violent this place was.

@Keligan successfully grounded Caltáriel, the side of her frame not being pushed down by him hitting the ground with a sickening thud, a white-hot pain unfurling against her ribs as her breath was lost in her throat. She'd only a breath of a moment to act, desperate to reach her head up as far and as fast as she could in that painful moment, and attempted to grab onto the limb that now held her down.
