December 13, 2024 After winning the challenge for Wolfbron Bluffs and becoming the fourth Dieudonné to hold the crown, Lazare releases all the members and ends the longest standing pride's reign over the island. After seven years of the Bluffs being held by the same family, it now sits empty, waiting for the next chapter of it's leadership.

December 6, 2024 Death came to a witch hunter after she called for the death of Karsa, with Kvare answering it causing Miaran to fall. Lazare Dieudonné challenges Louve Dieudonné for Wolfbron Bluffs. Snow seems to be falling in the middle of the summer as strange animals show up and offer a tempting meal for those brave enough to jump in.

November 8, 2024 Scorpius has gone missing and in his place Zaahir steps up to take the throne of Andal Oasis. How this change of leadership will shake things up in the lands, only time will tell.

October 11, 2024 Something is happening in the Scorched Wilds. There is a battle raging between a familiar force and an unfamiliar one. What will you do? Help or hinder?

October 1, 2024 Spooky things are happening as the afterlife start walking among the living once again.

September 30, 2024 Louve Dieudonné manages to keep Wolfbron Bluffs in the family. What will happen between the Bluffs and the otherwise peaceful pride of Lorien Plains?

September 20, 2024 Ilarion Rurik challenges for Wolfbron, will the Dieudonné lead pride fall?

September 8, 2024War broke out once again in the Lagoon when a wedding had some uninvited guest arrive. The war results in the most death matches the island has seen at once. The Summit was challenged by Brighid with Talisa answering the call. After many years of the Summit have the same two leaders, the Summit changes hands. What will this mean for the balance of Amaryllis? A witch hunt has started by Luther and Miaran which seems to be turning things on an island that is full of magic.

August 25, 2024 War broke out in the challenge for the Lagoon after Cassius tries to take the Lagoon from Isla. The Cove remains with Miaran. The leadership of the Mire switches from Sigrún hold to Rike when Luther comes back to take his birthland back. Elephants push into the Rainforest and push out the lions there. Soon after Lucifer lays claim to his birthland and takes over the Rainforest.

June 27, 2024 Conflict and tensions rise as prides come head-to-head with one another across Amaryllis - just as Pyrrha and Cassius take the leap to try and claim (or reclaim) their own thrones.

May 24, 2024 Rulers continue to shift, family strife ensues, and, per usual, tensions seems taunt and always lingering on the horizon.

April 24, 2024 Things are rocky within Amaryllis as the Dieudonne clash result in three deaths and forces a shift in the rulership of Firnen Rainforest. With Caladan Cove freshly overturned as well, what will the consequenecss of these events be?

March 30, 2024 The lull has ended as a long standing family, the Dieudonné, launch death matches against their own. The Plains sees a challenge from a new comer, Aphrodite, and the quite pride is pushed into the spotlight.

March 19, 2024 A momentary lull has overtaken the lands of Amaryllis as its inhabitants attempt to find their footing and rebuild after a string of challenges. How long it will last, however, nobody can be quite sure.

February 11, 2024 The Mire has fallen from the Stärke family and is now held by Luther Rike. The change has stirred but the fighting nature of those on the island. The Brook finds a new leader with Icefang and Isla takes over the Lagoon after a storm pushes out the old leader. Reti finds himself the leader of the Hollows after Alexander is hurt. The Oasis finds a new leader in Léonie who is soon tested by Harou.

January 8, 2024 The snow has finally begun to melt anew, which means that the world is slowly returning to the much-anticipated summer season. With the various holiday activities and the other jests put on by Nafasi also coming to a close, it is safe to say that winter is finally over.

December 5th, 2023 Nafasi had pulled a cruel trick and has sent Amaryllis back into a renewed winter season! But it's not all bad, because the lands will also see a handful of holiday-themed events popping up as a result. To make things more interesting, a wayward trio of travlers have also arrived and are facilitating a mass competition between the prides, bands, and rogues -- formally dubbed the Amaryllis Winter Games.

December 2nd, 2023 The spring air brings forth a number of pride challenges. A familiar challenger for the Cove and the Oasis arrive to try to earn what they want. The new leader of the Lagoon is tested in battle as well. What changes will come from the challenges? Who will remain standing and who will find their world turned upside down?

November 27th, 2023 In a challenge between mother and daughter, the leadership of Wolfbron Bluff changes for the first time in 5 IC years.

November 22nd, 2023 Two death matches, one resurrection, and an almost-war later, the lands find themselves in a constant state of turmoil and calamity. Families have been torn apart and endless blood has been spilt; but how is it all going to end?

November 3rd, 2023 The lands stir violently as a death match rages on between Aeistrios Saxe and Morrigan Greyflood. Observers spill into the pit in droves to witness what will no doubt be a historic battle -- and it is clear that this familial fued is far from over, no matter who wins and who dies.

October 12th, 2023 With winter comes the surge of more pride challenges; Ludivine challenges Ryker for Firnen Rainforest and is victorious in her endeavors, meanwhile an outcropping of maims breaks out on the sidelines. In a shocking turn of events Luther returns to challenge Bruno for Ecrosia Mire, will the former heir prove victorious or has Bruno got what it takes to keep his brother's ambitions at bay? This has undoubtedly shaken things up as Bruno declares war against Andal Oasis and Allies in the process!

Summer
The summer season has finally reached its peak. The sunshine is plentiful, the days are long and the air is hot and humid - but the evenings do not seem to provide the same relief that they once had, and remain somewhat stuffy. Thunderstorms have also began appearing more frequently, particularly in the rainforest and eastern region, though the rain is welcomed after a relatively dry season thus far.

"Too slow!" he called over his shoulder with a rambunctious leap over a rocky outcrop, perhaps a little too eager to gawk at the bones that littered the eerie landscape and make it fun. Voraciously he ran, doing as his father had said to do - make use of your strengths while you have them.

He supposed losing his childish speed was okay if he turned out as muscly as his Padre, something he could only hope for. He was much larger than two of his siblings, and he certainly made sure they knew it. Spotting a huge elephant femur (the likes of which looked to be a dinosaur bone to the youngster), Thrain tried to duck in behind it and squat to hide. Truthfully, the two vultures that scattered were probably a dead give away.

Following behind at a leisurely pace he was able to be on a more vigilant watch as his peripherals kept a keen eye on his son. @Thrain was eager to press forward through the boneyard and he was eager to let his son explore and be shaped by his environment. Obsidian was a nice place but at times it felt like it was a very safe atmosphere and Jafar did not want his children to get too comfortable. Danger was always present and they needed to be prepared no matter where they stood.

Purple eyes turned to attention as there was a large shuffle as two vultures exploded out from behind some giant bone structure. Immediately discovering that he couldn't see Thrain anywhere near him, realizing that the boy was behind it. There was no other explanation other than the boy ran off quicker than the speed of sound. So Jafar narrowed his eyes mischievously and darted forward, leaping square over the bones and soon as he made for landing, spun around as dirt flew around him. The pivot landing him to be looking straight at son with a gotcha!

He crouched there, nape dropped below his shoulders, belly dusting the dry loam. He listened keenly, a mischievous smirk still plastered across his lips, ears flicking eagerly. There was something thrilling about the suspense, waiting until his Padre was close enough to ambush.

@Jafar had other ideas. Suddenly there is a colossal flash of bronze and ebony, and Thrain jolts with suprise; leaping up to try and scramble over the top of the bones to get away. It is in the midst of this endeavour that his adrenaline cools and the boy returns to his usual antics.

"I want to sneak like you!" Thrain exclaims, sliding back down the bone ledge to peer up at his father with a keen look of determination.

The bond that he was creating with @Thrain based on the boy's desire to oversee everything Papi did was enough to give Jafar insight into how he wanted the Casales name to be. While the boy in front of him might not have been the first born, he was the one that had shown the most potential for his future. Not to mention that the boy was nearly an identical representation of his father and Jafar quite liked that. Bias and all.
So as the Casales young scrambles in quick fear before realizing that the beast that startled him was his father, only as he turns to face does he see the glory. The sand beneath your toes can be a great asset. He instructs as he takes a couple steps towards him. That rock there, tap it with your claw. He waited for his son to do as instructed before giving him another. Sheathe those claws and tap it again. The boys soft pads and extra fluffy feet would do well to trap the noise and mute it. It would serve the boy to know that he was capable of great silence if he stepped correctly.

Eagerly he listens to his Padre, absorbing every word he offered with an endless thirst. Thrain was a bright kid, but he only seemed to retain the information that interested him - perhaps that was normal. When the lessons involved @Jafar, the determination to succeed was all the greater.

There is a look of wonder and determination that befalls the youngsters face as he obliges, taking a step towards the rock and tapping his claws at it's rough surface. The sound was undeniable, rhythmical, and the boy is momentarily entranced. Though, as his claws sheathe, there is barely any sound at all.

Moral of the story, don't use your claws when being sneaky. Got it. He stood then, clambering noisily and clumsily atop the elephant bone. Once atop it, he sheathed his claws and crept slowly, silently atop it's surface. Unfortunately, the lack of claws meant he couldn't grip, so the success is short lived as the youngster soon falls back into the dry loam beneath with a graceless thud.

Teaching was the one thing he found he was actually good at it when it came to his children. Letting them figure out some things for themselves while also prepping them for the outside world and letting them have small tastes of it. They deserved the world and he wanted them to understand that it wasn't going to be handed to them and that they were going to have to fight for it. Either socially, mentally or physically. The world around them wasn't forgiving so they couldn't be, either.
With time @Thrain would now what to do and when to do it or not to do it. It became apparent as his boy backslid right down the rock into the dusty ground of the Boneyard. Dark purple eyes drew to a flickered movement not so far away. A large-sized bird that was not hard to spot but clearly didn't have the best of eyesight to see the father and son having a teaching moment. Sneak to that bird. Don't take the obvious route - don't go straight to it. Use objects to your advantage to cover yourself. Jafar whispered as he lowered himself to a crouch to further hide himself away from the bird's eyeview. This would be Thrain's attempt at stealth and a good lesson in hunting.

It is with a heavy sigh as he thuds down into the dirt from atop the bone, pouting vaguely as he sat there in defeat for a fleeting moment. As an adult, Thrain would be endlessly hard on himself, and perhaps there are flickers of such a future here today. A self-discipline, a relentless need to be the best beginning to peer through the simple innocence of a child.

Yet, he is distracted from his self-proclaimed failure by a new request from his Padre. Amethyst gaze follows the intent stare of @Jafar to the a long-legged bird in the near distance. The bronze boy stands eagerly, tail stub twitching with excitement as he straightened himself to get a better look.

With a mischievous smirk of intent he proceeds to stalk, rounding the elephant bone and pausing, mindful to keep his talons sheathed. Occasionally he would raise his head to instinctively check the position of the bird, before scampering to the next rock or bone cluster.

For his first attempt stalking anything other than an insect or frog, Thrain is not doing all too bad. He comes successfully within a few feet of the animal unseen (or so he believes), but grows impatient and overconfident. With the manliest growl he can muster the masked cub flies out from behind a splintered log - and the bird flaps away.

Moving over to his son and patting him on the back with a soft paw at minimal speed. It was easy to be able to watch his son truly make a move for himself. To learn when he would move with the courage behind his steps and how he managed to make little sound as he got closer. @Thrain had done well enough to scare the bird, though perhaps not so great at the idea of catching it for a meal. Not that Jafar had told him to go for the kill anyways so it wasn't something he could fault the boy for. That was very good, Thrain. Very good. It did not realize you were there until you were right on top of it. Probably gave it's tiny little bird heart a good flutter before it ultimately took off in a panic. While Thrain might not have been the initial first born, he had done a trillion times better than that who was supposed to be. Not that Jafar was complaining at all, for he was happy that it would be Thrain who was his look-a-like but with much more defining features than he. A handsome boy who maybe one day he could betroth someone to but for now, there weren't too many pickings.

Though clearly frustrated he hadn't caught the bird (though everyone except Thrain surely knew he couldn't), Thrain eventually turns to beam at his father. @Jafar 's encouragement always did wonders for his pride, and the boy straightens his posture in a prince-like fashion to receive his father's words of commendation.

His breast puffs, toes wriggling happily in arid soil. He was good at this. "Soon I'll be as big as you, and then I'll be as strong and as sneaky and as muscly as you!" with a gleeful trot the bronze cub sought to bounce towards his Padre, trying to shove playfully at his giant shoulder.

As it were, Thrain was one of the bunch that he felt that he could easily rely on to remember his lessons and teachings and put them to good use. A vision of the future where his boy could see how important the family name was and to ensure that it remain stable and strong. Sometimes, a heart veers from its chosen path and that was understandable but he hoped that Thrain could remain unmoved. Perhaps even more so, he answers as he attempts to pat his son gently on the head with a paw. @Thrain had many years until he would reach his prime but if he continued his training the way he was going then Jafar had utmost confidence that he could be as strong and better.
