Things were beginning to warm. That strange bit of snow and cold was less and less each day. Pyrrha did not believe entirely that it was ending, it came so suddenly after all, but she was grateful for the nights that weren't unbearably cold. She awoke and dragged one of the mammoth pelts she'd claimed for herself after a hunt out of the den. Under the moon she sat out, carefully untangling the shaggy fur and cleaning them most precious she warm pelt she had to her name. Her eyes glowed upon it, for it was hers. And she'd earned it.

Her lips pressed together and she softly began to hum a tune while caring for the pelt and ensuring it was in pristine condition.

The freak winter seemed to be ending, but could one really hope for that? It had been terrifying to see snow in summer, not that she'd admitted that to anyone. But still, the fear that something bad was happening. At least nothing had happened, a moment of peace despite the oddity of the season.

The princess had been awake for too long, unable to sleep just tossing and turning. Perhaps she'd slept too much during the day, that had happened in the past. Or maybe it was the thoughts spinning, who could say?

Either way, the yearling emerged from her den slipping into the night with a yawn. Great now she was yawning after deciding to get up. Neeha huffed but moved ahead out into the cold summer night. She just wandered her legs carrying her to the beach before back towards the center of the territory. But it was the soft sounds of humming that gave her wandering purpose.

Neeha hadn't intended to sneak up on her sister. Yet she'd gotten so used to moving in the shadows, going unnoticed. So she moved almost automatically out of habit. Paws were placed carefully so as to not disturb the sand her frame almost automatically dropping just a bit as she approached. Her lavender gaze observed her strawberry-colored sibling for a moment. "That's an impressive pelt" she spoke peaking at the fur her sister seemed to be carrying for. Neeha could not say from what animal it came and it puzzled her.

She's engrossed in her work and care of the pelt. Should it have been a more active time of day she might not have immediately noticed her sister's approach, not until @Neeha spoke up. But the night was still and Pyrrha became attuned to the movement coming closer. She is looking up with pale blue eyes when Neeha's voice carries over the compliment. Pyrrha glows with pride.

Come come- She says with a renewed energy and wave of her paw. She is equally excited to show off her prize as she is to spend the time with her sister. It was from the biggest elephant I've ever seen. An elephant this furry. She runs her paw against the grain of the fluffy Mammoth pelt. Can you imagine? She's speaking in a hushed, but excited, whisper of a tone.

Neeha smiles feeling a warmth within her at her sister's expression. Pride, happiness over something she'd said. But it made Neeha happy to watch her sister glow with pride. The other princess didn't hesitate to shift her weight and carefully joined her sister sitting herself by her side. Confusion and marvel spread onto her face as her sister explains where the pelt was from. "An elephant?" she asks confused by the idea it was furry. Neeha hadn't seen furred elephants before and had missed their appearance during this odd winter in summer. A shame, she kinda wanted to see them.

Lifting a paw she'd carefully shake off the sand away from the pelt, before moving to run her paw through the fur. The fibers were long, longer than any fur she'd seen before. She tried to picture it the leather-skinned giants covered in a long soft layer of fur...

Wait, giants... elephants were huge and dangerous. Not something one just killed and skinned with ease. Caladan hadn't had an elephant hunt, had they? This meant Neeha had either missed the hunt of a lifetime or Pyrrha had done something impossible. "Did you kill it?" she asked her lavender gaze turning to her sister with amazement and confusion in her tone.

"An elephant." She repeats happily. Her own paw brushes once again across the thick and shaggy pelt. She remembers how it felt to hunt the beast, how towering it had been, how loud the deep sound was when it fell to the lions. And this prize, warm and unique. Something not a lot of others would have. Her claws extend and tug at some of the slightly tangled hairs and loosened them until she could pat them down straight.

She nods along with her sister's question. Yes, there were a lot of others. Different prides. As cool as it would have been to claim she did it on her own, or that if was Caladan's victory, such a lie was worthless and easy to be found out. She gained nothing by hiding the truth from her sister. I wish you and Keelia could have seen it. She says sentimentally. It would have been a memory made better by the presence of them.

Neeha

A joined effort between many, now that made more sense than her sister growing super strength. However, it didn't stop the amazement of her sisters doing. To work with others was hard enough when you knew them. However, when said individuals were from different prides, friends, and foe or neutral parties working as a team would have been a lot harder. "That's amazing @Pyrrha ♔, working together with so many" The sandy yearling purred happily for her sister but perhaps also slightly jealous.

It could have been her with this amazing pelt in her den, her with the amazing story to tell. However, at her sister's next words, a feeling of guilt replaced the jealousy. The princess squashed it down smiling and nodding her head "That would have been amazing, the tree of us taking down a furred Elefant together" Well a lioness could dream right? "Let's do that next time" she said with a giggle in her words "The tree princesses of Caladan are coming for you furred elephants you hear me!?" The yearling said raising her voice but not quite yelling. Neeha wasn't gonna wake up all of Caladan okay...

PYRRHA TOLLAIRE

There were a lot of lions, I didn't recognize all of the scents and almost none of the faces. She says, wavering for a second in the comforting familiarity of her sister and letting vulnerability eep into her voice. She wasn't a fan of feeling unknowledgeable, not on the scale she had. Fortunately there was a giant elephant on everyone else's mind and great prizes to have been collected.

She laughs at the declaration, bold and loud to the sky overhead. Yeah! She joins in, reaching across as she speaks to hold Neeha's paw with her own. So the earth and all may see their unity and power together. I bet we could do it just the three of us. As great as it was to work together with such a large group Pyrrha would happily take the credit for just her, Keelia, and Neeha. Maybe the rest of the family too. Maybe.

Neeha listened her floppy ears tilting forward at her sister's admission an idea forming in her head. "Maybe I can help with that. I see a lot of lions when I watch fights and stuff." she responds watching her more colorful sister. "If I can remember their faces, appearances, and scents and tell you about them, then maybe you'll recognize more lions next time?" Neeha didn't actually know if @Pyrrha ♔ had gone to any of the challenges or major fights. She'd always been so busy watching the main fight or Kvare. But Neeha was sure she could watch more than just one thing, that she could remember other lions at these events if it meant helping her sister. It meant more work for Neeha and that she had to get the different pride scents memorized but she could do that. Pyrrha had killed a fucking giant so surely Neeha could memories a handful of scents.

Neehas's smile widens as Pyrrha chimes in, they could do it! They could kill a giant together the three of them. At her sister's touch, the other princess carefully aims to bump her shoulder against her sister's strawberry-colored one. "Next time then!" she responds eyes shining with excitement. Another thing to look out for when moving around, furred elephants. Even if Neeha didn't know where to look, she would definitely find one!
