Markus, on the other hand, had been waged in war and chaos. He had grown up surrounded by the need to destroy, the need to sink claws into flesh. To tear and demolish. This dominance match was simply just practice - an escape route for the Rike to stretch his claws.

Markus' claws make contact with @Dagge's shoulders, and they seem to rip through his flesh as he returns them to the ground. Blood, warm and tender, drips from his talons, seeping into the earth beneath them. Dagge pushes back as his paws return to the ground, and the brown male's claws grab at his armpits. They make contact for a short-time, before Markus pulls backwards and disconnects from his opponent.

Enough. He commands with an idle flick of his tail tip. You fight well. What is your name? He asks, curious to know a little more about the man he had fought against.

they continue to clash in a wild, coordinated frenzy. she flinches as the dark one's claws wrench into the other and as the male defends himself, reacting with the force of his weight as his weapon. as she eyes the punctures and lacerations left behind in the wake of their seemingly well meaning bout. imogen recovers her herbs from the dusty ground and approaches quietly, eyes still lingering on the inflicted wounds. she's glad to think she's seen worse - no one here was in danger of death.

"great warriors," she says quietly, interjecting only to leave her quarry for them. "medicine. it is- ah, how say... good for pain. each of you." the combat medic speaks slowly, partially in thought, partially to ensure that she is understood. the common tongue is clunky and heavy on her accented tongue. "and keep wound from going bad." she noses in the direction of the herbs at her paws -- bright green leaves to take home and muddle for their injuries neatly tucked by a flowerpod of seeds - and steps away from them.

the cat waits silently, eager if they would take the offer. she was a stranger, after all.

The fight felt good to let off some steam. His frustrations loosened from his tense muscles as the bottle up anger came out a little bit in a way that was proactive rather than just disturbing the mood of others and destroy trees.

Disengaging from @Markus it was clear the larger beast had won. Something that Dagge wasn’t going to argue about. That wouldn’t be good sportsmanship to throw a tantrum about losing a fight. It had been a fair one, and there weren’t tantrums involved in real wars. Well maybe with how wars are started but not on the battlefield.

Stepping back he panted as he caught his breath. About to answer when @Imogen caught his attention offering herbs to help. He eyed the herbs then dipped his head to her thankfully. "Thank you miss?" He could sort of patch himself up, but some of his wounds were out of his reach. Looking back at Markus he answered. "Dagge Yu. You fight well as well."

Markus' sides rise and fall steadily as the blood drips from his fresh wounds. It begins to congeal on his merle skin, staining it as evidence of the battle he had won here today. The Rike had not noticed the arrival of little @Imogen, and his mismatched eyes turn to her as she speaks. He is a little taken aback by her offering - it was not usual for someone to do such a thing for the brute - but he certainly was not going to deny the medicine.

Thank you for your offering, Miss...? He asks, curious to know her name, as he looks her body up and down. You're a pretty one, he thinks, a wild variety of thoughts running through his mind. Markus makes a mental note to speak to her once @Dagge had departed.

His crown turns to his opponent, who revealed his name. It is nice to meet you, Dagge. I am Markus, He reveals, deciding to keep his surname concealed for the moment.

the short silence feels long. imogen resists the urge to shrink away, worried that her small offering would be declined. her tail hangs low, ears rotating back dreadfully slow, before they both give her thanks. the dark furred one gives her a once over ( she isn't too off put by it, she would do the same, though for reasons far more innocent than his own ) and the blonde maned male nods to her gratefully.

"miss imogen," she finds that she likes the little title before her name, the previous anxiety written on her face melting away to be replaced with a mousy smile. the dainty medic stirs into action as she begins to portion the seeds from the flower pod, paws moving deftly over things so, so small. "no need to thank. i want to help."

quietly, she sets to work scrapping and carefully shredding and sorting the herbs for them. imogen listens nosily as they introduce themselves to each other. @Dagge and @Markus. she glances up from the corner of her eye momentarily before returning deftly to her work and sets a tight fern wrapped pack before each of them. "seeds now," the lioness motions to the flower pod that has now been split to two, "the others chew and apply after cleaning. ok?"

Markus' eyes turn back to @Imogen as she speaks, and he offered her a small, subtle smile. Her distinct submissive nature and nervousness drew Markus in. He was keen to get to know her better, and made a note in the back of his mind to seek her out again.

Your help is appreciated, He hums with a curt nod of his head, and then takes the seeds from the small wrapped packet, doing as he was told. They tasted bitter, and the shells got stuck in between his teeth, but he knew it would help. With a mild annoyance, Markus rises to his feet and dips his head to the both of them. Thanks for the exercise, He says to @Dagge, and then turned to Imogen. And thanks for the seeds.

And with that, Markus departed.

@Markus' thanks causes her chest to swell. she's proud of herself and grateful for his approval. as he swallows down the seeds, she nods, looking to @Dagge to do the same. imogen cleans and gathers the remainder of her herbs, content to see them both off from the pit before she departs. "goodbye," imogen speaks her farewell, tail streaming behind her in a fond wave. as of now, the pit is almost eerily silence and with no other combatants in sight, imogen decides that perhaps she can head off now to take care of herself. with a soft exhale, she steers herself in the direction of the ridges of the pit, satisfied with her work and content to settle in for the evening.
