She felt the need to keep fighting, keep reworking her ability to do so. Sersie paces in her awkward way, uneven footing making her seem like an easy target. But in truth, she harbored a ferocity only one who has been through hellfire and back could understand. Her tail twitches in agitation, she mutters to herself over strategy and how to attack.

Sersie wants to prove to the world, despite her flaws she's still dangerous. To prove to herself that her actions did not have dire consequences. That she was a god among men and the world's rules didn't apply. A dangerous mindset for someone already, brutally, put in her place. But the Andal queen had seen something, hadn't she? Otherwise she wouldn't have extended that offer.

So she paces and waits, ready to spring into action at the first thing that moves.

He had been meaning to visit the pit to get some practice in. He was about big enough, he thought, to take on the adults, so he walked confidently down the rocky path and into the pit. The stench of old blood hit him square in the nose, and as he walked onto the dirt arena, he crinkled his nose at the smell.

There was a scarred, three-legged lioness waiting for him there, and he practically scoffed at her appearance. Clearly, this lady lost a lot of fights. What was one more? And he didn't plan on taking anything from her... not a leg, not a tail, maybe just her time.

"You think you can take me on?" he asked her, bravado clear in his voice. The boy squared up with her, walking forward with confidence, closing the distance between them. He didn't make an advancement towards her, though. He waited for her answer; she was banged up enough.

The lioness didn’t have to wait long before someone came—and this time, a naive young little shit. Barely did she hear his question before her body sprang into action. He walked toward her, readied, but Sersie nearly leapt into an awkward lope—front, back, back, front again—better this time than before. Her hind legs pushed from the earth, and the lioness lunges at him. Right arm and stump outstrteched as she attempted to grab the boy head one, trying her best to sink her teeth right into the untouched skull. Ideally, her teeth sought purchase around his left eye. Her hind legs plant themselves semi-steadily.

If her attack should hit its mark (or close enough) Sersie would find herself snapping her own skull in rapid succesion—left, right-back to the left in hopes of inflicting the most amount pain she could. The stranger was nothing more than a boy, fresh meat, untouched skin to be ripped and tattered and torn by her own volition. After all, if he thought he was able to fight with the big kids, might as well treat him like all the others, no?

He thought she was just some broken old lady...

She barely gave him enough time to finish talking before she pivoted and lunged for him. She moved quick for having three legs - something Veros did not expect - and despite missing most of her foreleg, she still sought to use it. As she lunged for him, grabbing for him with her one good and clawed arm and the other... well, the stump slammed into him. He cringed - outwardly - feeling the hard nub crash into him. Perhaps he shouldn't have been paying so much attention to it...

Because she easily found her mark. She aimed for his head, and bit him, right about where his forehead met his temple. And not only had she bit down on the tender and taut flesh there, but she shook and ripped. The searing pain made his eyes tear and the force of her movements jostled his brain. He needed to get out of this.

He attempted to shove his right clawed paw into the left side of her face (or her neck, whichever he'd get) and push her off with all of his strength; all the while trying to duck out of her forceful grip. If that didn't work right away, he'd lash out with his left paw, seeking to slice her somewhere near her armpit or chest area.

...Boy, was he wrong.

Had she been a spectator, Sersie would have delighted in the boy’s expression. Probably even laughed, jeered at him for walking into a fight so unprepared. As it stands, she is blinded by bloolust and pays little attention to anything other than the fact its clear the boy has had little training. Sersie couldn’t begin to guess his full age, but his reaction was proof enough of his youth. He flails, trying his best to push her off him—and succeeds. A slash is felt next, and the steady rush of fresh blood spilling from her body sends a welcomed sensation across her senses.

Sersie has little in the way of proper balance, but the lioness is begnining to see potential in the weakness. She feels her body teeter, tail desperately flailing to keep herself steady. All for naught, or perhaps, thats what she considers her opponent thinking. A normal creature would depart its claws and teeth from its prey, to keep itself steady. Not Sersie—she tries to clamp down harder as gravity pulls her down to the left in an attempt to pull him with her.

If he teetered, if he fell, her hind legs would kick up from the pale-white dusts in an attempt to strike at his undersides. What a sight it would be, to witness the belly of this beast sliced open and shiny with fresh viscera? Her good arm swings to find a target amidst his right side, hoping that if her claws found the taught muscle and skin, she’d have a chance to rake down his leg.

He managed to breach her confident stature with a rough shove of his paw. The aftermath was that of her trying desperately to right herself - unfortunately, using him and his wounds as leverage. She removed her paw from his skin, but her teeth locked in his head held steadfast, trying to drag him down with her. Veros hissed and snarled in pain, releasing his left paw from her side, he landed on it heavily as they started to teeter. He intended to allow her to go down, but he didn't wish to follow.

Pressure on his left foreleg grows as they both lean in that direction. She detaches her one foreleg from his upper body and slices into his right side, and he could feel her ragged claws part his skin. Pain seers from the wound and he could begin to feel it grow wet. A pained snarl escapes him as he attempts to again shove his right paw into her face, claws unsheathed, aiming to either carve into her face or knock her bite loose and let her hit the ground. He would've been happy with either or both, though his movements were inaccurate and again, he was just trying to get her rotten teeth out of his face.

A squirmy little shit, a nasty little worm.

He manages to finally knock her loose, grip both in tooth and claw relenting to the point she feels her upper back smack into the ground. Sersie coughs out loudly then, using her tail to help quickly roll herself back onto her feet—doing her best to keep the left side of her body out of greater vulnerability. It was, afterall, the one side of her that she couldn’t see—nor could she fully use properly. No matter, Sersie finds herself lunging right back into the frey with out so much as a fucking care.

Truth was, she loved violence a little too much. She craved bloodspill for the smell and sport. The taste of iron was something of a comfort. The lioness opens her maw and tries to clamp down-hard-upon his neck. Ideally, somewhere soft, squishy, meaty. Those tended to hurt the worst, in her experience. The term ‘spar’ had never been a solid thing in her vocabulary, and Sersie approached every fight like it might be her last. Call it survivalism, if you will. As her teeth sought their purchase, she swings her right arm again and tries to strike closer to the other side of his neck.

When he jumped into this fight, he hadn't realized what he was getting himself into. He assumed the scarred woman had been so scarred because she sucked at fighting, but now, as he realized, she was so scarred because she threw herself into the fray without a care in the world. Had she cared when her arm was torn off? Or how about that one cloudy eye?

Oh, the eye.

He only noticed it with his one good eye now that she pulled away, detaching herself from his face at long last. It was glassy and cloudy... could she see? It was... conveniently on the same side as her missing limb. Too bad Veros was getting tired, otherwise he might've tried to use this tactic a bit more... but alas.

She hit the ground with a dull thud, and as he lashed out a paw towards her ribs, it landed in the dirt as she rolled out of his grasp. He had taken a few steps forward to follow her - his face bleeding - his eye swollen shut and blinded with blood. An eye for an eye, he supposed. She was quick to crash into him again, aiming her jaws for his neck. Thankfully, he was a bit more ready this time and tucked his throat. Her seeking jaws found something, but with his frantic defensive movements, her teeth latched onto his shoulder instead. Which... feeling her fangs sink into his bone and muscle there - it wasn't any less painful, but perhaps... she could do slightly less damage there.

So focused on her bite, he doesn't prepare himself for her second attack and feels her paw slam into the other side of his neck, followed by ragged claws. Thankfully, his mane was beginning to come in, and her claws did a little less damage, but still... the slam and the scratch hurt like a bitch.

Doing a quick calculation in his head (and I mean quick), he took a shot and swung a clawed paw towards her left side ribs, hoping to carve into her like a thanksgiving turkey and slash into her no doubt scarred skin. And then, with her head so close to his, he bent his neck slightly and attempted to chomp down on her right ear.

The tearing of her flesh is irrelevant. His claws tear into her flesh with all the force of a bug-bite (no, it hurts, it really does but she won’t admit that) and Sersie is struck in the ear by his own teeth. Yet she disengages quickly, knowing that if they go any farther the boy wasn’t going to fair well. Well, not that she cared in particular, but—last thing she wanted was more on her tail at the moment.

A hiss escapes her as she snarls at him ”Think twice before provoking an elder, boy” Sersie knows she stands victorioius in this small bout, a sneer as her tail whips back and forth. ”Better scurry on back home, before I decide to fucking kill you instead”
