Jiera had never been to these parts of Amaryllis ever since being born here. Maybe it was because she had that stubborn cough and respiratory issues that made her steer clear of ascending into thinner air and higher altitudes. But now, as an adult, she was all but healed from those cub illnesses (but every once in a great while she would feel very winded by simply walking) and decided it was time to venture. Slender form followed the path to the grotto, taking her time and making sure each paw was placed carefully onto solid ground - she didn't realize she wasn't a big fan of heights until now.

Green eyes took in her surroundings, feeling the difference in air. It kind of gave her the creeps, like someone was watching her... With a quick shake of her head she would begin to investigate, studying the flora and other natural formations that called this place their home. A whiteish flower would catch her attention then, and as she padded toward it she allowed for her nose to sniff it cautiously. It had a nice scent to it, but she was unsure exactly if this plant was useful enough to be used for medicine.

Unlike @Jiera, Ygritte felt at home here. With the shadows of the spirits, and the chills that may give others a feeling of fear or more. Even now, in her pregnant state, Ygritte felt at ease as she ventured further into the Grotto and breathed in the smells. They were always so different and intoxicating but in such a nice way that Ygritte never felt like she was in danger. Ears were a constant twitch on top of her head as she walked through the lands and hummed.

Her nose wrinkled suddenly at the sudden scent that was brought to her and she stopped, lifting her head up slightly and sniffing at it and immediately recognizing it. A small smile formed as she remembered the last time she had seen Jiera and was curious how things had turned out so Ygritte would let out a small soft chuff for the other woman. Though no other sound came past her lips as she ventured towards Jiera's direction by scent.

Jiera was still inspecting flowers and herbs, studying them and taking in whatever she could about them. They were all so interesting, especially how some grew in thick bundles or traveled up trunks of trees with thin vines. She was so engrossed in her work that when the sounds of a light chuff penetrated the air it would cause for her to jolt slightly in surprise. Head swings in the direction it came from, green eyes landing upon the very pregnant @Ygritte. "Ygritte, hello!" The healer greeted in a cheery tone, abandoning her current task and beginning to pad in the blind lioness' direction. "How are you?" Another look is given to her swollen belly, brows knitting slightly as her mind began to churn.

Ygritte would never know that she had surprised @Jiera but if she did, Ygritte would have felt guilty about it and apologized but instead she continued to move closer until she felt like she was at a comfortable distance. A smile formed once her name was spoken and she would nod her head to the other medic. Hello sweetling. She would probably forever call Jiera that as their first encounter had been a rather sweet yet sad one. I am doing well, how are you doing? Are you looking for more herbs for your mom? She would curious on how her mother was doing. It had felt like such a long time ago.

Her lips pull into a small smile whenever @Ygritte asks about Aarani. "She's doing great. She comes in and out of Amaryllis, but she's great. Thank you for helping me." It was the day Jiera really became interested in the ways of being a healer and experimenting. Her mind would slip to the day where she accidentally gave an already dying lioness poisonous plants and she would have to swallow hard to rid the lump that had formed in her throat. "And I'm doing well, too. Staying by myself mostly." It was more peaceful and relaxing, although she did crave that companionship. "I see you're expecting soon?" Her voice is warm and curious, trying to gauge just how far along Ygritte was.

It brought a smile to her face when she heard that the girls mother was doing good, though she was in and out of Amaryllis the notion that she was doing better was enough to ease her heart. Well, I'm glad for that. Though she wasn't entirely sure she would wish for someone - let alone her own - to leave and come back many times but who was she to judge? Nymeria had just recently passed away and Ygritte was still in mourning. But the conversation soon changed to herself and Ygritte would listen in silence and intently. Ears twisting at each word where it fell on good ear drums. Oh? I never knew you hadn't joined a pride. A thought had crossed her mind that she might have but Ygritte never knew and now; it was on her. The spot light turned onto her and she felt her cheeks flush. Yes.. I just found out recently.

"I've thought about it," Jiera begins, deciding to allow for her haunches to recline so that now she was sitting before @Ygritte. "But it seemed like every time me and my family joined a pride that it would soon disband, so it feels best to stay away for now." She tried to keep the pessimistic tone in her voice, but it was hard when it seemed as though you were some type of bad luck. Her eyes shine once more whenever her assumption was confirmed, feeling warmth blossom in her chest.

"Oh, congratulations! Cubs are so adorable." She wondered if she'd ever find someone that she would want to start a life and family with, but so far it seemed as though that was remaining a hard no. "I have a friend that I helped through her pregnancy, and if your body starts to get sore you should visit the hot springs to help relax and ease the tension. But now too long." You didn't want to overheat or cause damage to the life you carried in your belly.

Ygritte could understand where @Jiera was coming from. She had seen other prides fall and be claimed again just for it to fall down all over again. She's been there when a pride changed paws, just like the Brook had done recently as she understood the hesitation. A small sigh formed on her lips as Ygritte would nod her head, I understand. I've spent my entire life in the Brook and it has had its changes of rulers many times. She would admit to her friend. But it changed back to the cubs she was carrying and Ygritte grinned bigger. I helped my cousin after her birth. I adore cubs. She would admit, before taking in the advice. I will have to remember that in the near future, thank you.

Hearing that other prides seemed to switch leaders often made Jiera feel neither good nor bad. She knew it was apart of their world, but she also wished she could just settle down and not have to worry about the other paw to drop. She gives a nod whenever @Ygritte talks about how she helped her cousin give birth as well as sharing the same adoration of cubs as the healer herself did; seeing new life just made her feel hopeful.

"Having plenty of cobweb and clove is what I have learned, but one thing others may not realize they should stock up on is pigeon pea. It helps with the high blood pressure that comes with birth as well as helps the mother not get sick." Did Ygritte already know all of this? More than likely. But Jiera was proud in herself for knowing so much that she wanted to show the woman who had really started her on her medicinal route just how much she had learned since their first encounter.

Listening to what the younger medic said about another herb that Ygritte hadn't thought of. It caused the older medic to tilt her head with ears pushed forwards as she thought about it and would nod her head. That is very good indeed. She would hum to her friend. I will have to go and search for it before I give birth. She would then comment, thinking of the places she may have smelled it. Each herb had a distinct smell to her but sometimes, the newer herbs that she hadn't looked for, and then it got her thinking. Why not see if @Jiera knew where it was. Where can I find it? She knew, but why not test Jiera.
