Somewhere in the back of his head as the boy crawl-walked further over the border, the image of the tree from further back entered his mind. Like it was growing up and then back down into the murky waters. The felt much like his own situation didn't it?

Recently, he had been enjoying the good fortune of the trees in a nearby swamp, free of mud as he took the higher road. But oh, how he had fallen. Covered in the worst of the damp earth, moving at a crocodilian drift into danger just for the possibility of hearing anything useful. Only for Dubhán, only for a chance of finding the tiniest crumb of his brother's whereabouts did Darcia bring himself so low like this. Ugh.

He heard more introductions, and strained to hear more of it. Ama...Amara? There was a mention of prides and something about working together. So this was some sort of diplomatic meeting. Yikes, double the trouble if he was found. This was definitely the mire pride, though, so that meant that the large, pale man greeting the starspeckled woman must has been Theodosia's father. What was his name? Had she said it?

Darcia wracked his memory, coming up empty and muffling a grumble of frustration. Whatever, he would figure it on his own if they kept talking.

Joining the Mire had mostly been her decision if not mildly swayed by Luther's claim attempts. And she had meant what she said about wanting to see exactly what the boy could bring to the plate on home turf. Settling into her new home had been easy, she didn't have the worst time acclimating to new surroundings. Of course, the smell of the Mire would take some getting used to, but Drena was smart and had managed to align herself with one of the biggest longstanding prides in Amaryllis. A power move on her part for sure. Regardless she knew not to be a shitty pride member and being present during large gatherings was a must. She was hardly on time but still she made her way towards the others. Surveying the group her gaze would rest on Luther for just a moment before flickering towards Amara. She would listen intently, enthralled at the opportunity to fight once more. Though her wounds were still healing that didn't mean she wouldn't involve herself, after all she was always greedy for a fight. Now, who would she be paired up with? The war hound waited expectantly on the sidelines, eager to play her part in this group activity.

Listening to Amara he chuckled, ah a perfect chance to exercise eh? The squealing voice of his youngest son catches his attention and he moves to nudge him gently. "**stay with your brother," he instructed with a firm tone but smiled fondly at him. Mars was very much like he was at that age, only less mouthy. Quietly Tripfire walked glancing around before he set his eyes on a darker lioness. Looking her over he shrugged, she would do. Approaching her giving space between them Tripfire grunted to announce his presence. His shoulders rolled forward, his eyes narrowed and his ears tucked back. Rusalka ran fast as she could when she smelled the new lions, she skidded to a halt, or well, she tried to, sliding right into Beñat, the half maned female screeched as she slid through the muck and rolled right into her friend. "" Beñat!' The little girl giggled and stared down at the boy, "" Oops'

Orange eyes gazed down at her friend before she scrambled to get off of him, wiping the mud from her fur, "" Whatcha doing here?' She cocked her head and batted at him gently, tail flicking behind her, eyes bright with excitement. She glances to the red male that walked away, then to the little boy at Beñats feet, a soft smile on her face, she suddenly realizes she's actually surrounded by her pride and her eyes show fear for a second as she checks to make sure her father isn't watching her.

Beñat saw Mars waddling towards them and chuckled, he was too cute to be irritated with. And when he joined them he ruffled the top of his brother's head with a paw. Tripfire gave the boy instruction to stay with Beñat who was about to turn to try and keep his brothers attention. But suddenly he was pile driven into the muck with a loud yell. At first, he thought he had been jumped but when he heard a familiar voice he yelled happily. Trying to wrap his paws around her in a hug, ignoring the muck that coated his fur making it appear even darker. "Rusalka!" he cried happily. "My papa came, because my great aunt came" he gestured with a nod to Amara. "Wanna wrestle? my little brother can judge us, his name is Mars!" he did a quick introduction while trying to stand up so he could be ready to wrestle properly.

She'd only just arrived and was getting the lay of the land when a voice to her left catches her attention, Bonjour, ladies first. Turning so she can properly face him Drena offers the stranger one of her most dazzling smiles, oh how she would truly enjoy this dance. You didn't ever have to tell her twice to engage in a fight. The Dragos woman would shoot forwards, approaching the red male with ferocity as she attempted to jut her left shoulder outward towards him in an effort to make solid contact with the man's chest. Ears were pinned and eyes narrowed, entirely focused on her opponent as her claws attempted to keep her grounded on the slick Mire terrain.

Her shoulder manages to slam directly into the man's chest causing an immediate bruise to blossom beneath the surface of her skin. But the pain only served one purpose, to drive her onward. Teeth slice into the meaty portion of her scruff and she snarls in response, ignoring the burning sensation for now. His left paw manages to snag her chin, the contact causing stars to dance across her vision for a few seconds. Without hesitation Drena would snap outward, attempting to grab hold of his paw and clamp down if she's lucky enough. The abrasion on her chin stung like a son-of-a-bitch but that could always be dealt with later. Winning was the only thing on her mind currently.

even though she isn't EM anymore, she was at the time of this thread so hopefully you all will let me stay!

While she had never been very great at fighting nor had a lot of experience in the matter because of it, she was happy to linger around and watch as folks teamed up to take each other on. Holding the gnetum that she had close by in the event that she was called over to them. Though, it also appeared that there were several other medics from Wolfbron that had showed up to do the same. But much to what she could kind of make out from the dark lady that called was that she intended for them to share knowledge. That alone was enough to give her unwanted negative feelings as she wasn't that great with her English and knew that she likely wouldn't be received as well as she was when talking with Tiamat.

So far only two lions had saddled up to fight each other to which she watched carefully, beginning to move a little bit around the edges of the event. If only so that she could take a few more herbs and keep an eye on Tripfire and Drena, wondering what was going to happen, what wounds they might acquire and if either of them would even bother asking for help. Not that they only had one healer to choose from, of course, and highly doubted it would be her that would be called upon. Plucking another root of gnetum, she carefully placed it in a neat pile and tried to pick out the unwanted things of the plant. Best not to let anything interfere should she end up using them.

Tripfire tries to attain a grip on the side of her neck, teeth attempting to pierce the fatty meat of her scruff. He snarled feeling her teeth rake his paw as it withdraws from his smack. Replacing it on the ground he winced feeling the drag marks left behind bleed. Eyes narrowed he attempted to lift the opposite paw up and over to try and hook his claws into the middle of her back. Turning so his body was pressed closer to her a bit, trying to push her back with his weight. His ears flattened while he snarled, his tail swishing behind to aid in his balance. He needed a damn win, or was he forever cursed to lose against lionesses?
