The woman was quick; Shiva didn't expect her to be as seasoned of a fighter, but now she knew she had to step it up a notch or two. At the last moment, Revna stepped out of her reach, and all subsequent attempts at attack came up short. Her claws only grazed the woman desperately, her teeth only reached a superficial slab of her skin. Nothing she could hold onto, nothing she could use. And as Shiva returned to all four legs, she attempted to spring forward once more - though, Revna had other ideas. Movement was a fickle thing, wasn't it?

As Shiva lunged forward again - this time, a dirty trick, aiming for Revna's left hind ankle, she attempted to grab onto and pull it out from under her. Revna's hit did not quite land in its intended mark. Instead, her powerful punch hit the side of Shiva's neck - thankfully, the side with all the muscles so it did not cause a coughing fit. Still, the area beneath the woman's paw was tender and would likely bruise and cause discomfort for the next few days.

the sea does not like to be restrained Revna isn't the lead fighter of the Brook for nothing. She had been around the block a time or two. She knows what she's doing. The pale pink lioness lunges forward, but it isn't fast enough for her to entirely dodge Revna's paw. Her blow lands on the side of the woman's neck and Revna can practically feel the bruise forming on the muscles that she slammed her appendage into. This lioness would be feeling that tomorrow, she is certain. The lioness' lunge seemed to be aimed at Revna's hind legs, meaning she had to expose herself to make the reach. The woman does manage to snag Revna's left ankle, just as Revna decides to take advantage of her more exposed position. In order to reach the ankle, the pale lioness had to stretch past Revna's front end, leaving her shoulders and midsection vulnerable to attack. She stretches her head forward, aiming a bite at the woman's closest shoulder, and then aims a clawed swipe at the woman's side, hoping to draw bloody furrows through the skin across her ribs. She finds herself balancing on two legs for a brief moment, a precarious situation. She kicks out the leg that has been hooked by her opponent, hoping to wrench her ankle from the woman's grasp. As Shiva dove for her opponent's hind legs, she knowingly left herself a bit open for the other to take advantage of. One could not gain without some sacrifice. As her jaws closed around the woman's left ankle, Shiva could feel teeth pierce the bunched muscles in her shoulder and eventually, claws rake the skin covering her ribs. The pain from both wounds radiated, but Shiva was not intending to drop the woman's back paw just for that.

Even as Revna kicked her paw out in attempt to make Shiva lose her hold on it, Shiva kept her grip steadfast. It was then that she jerked her head to the right, attempting to pull the woman off of her two (or three?) remaining legs. If she was successful, perhaps the woman would fall to her rear - opening up new opportunities for Shiva.

the sea does not like to be restrained Her initial tug with her captured paw is unsuccessful, so she immediately tries it a second time, just as the woman pulls at the same limb in question. The counter-movement is enough to keep Revna on her paws, but the pull of teeth in the delicate flesh of her ankle is intensified as the two movements tear at the skin mercilessly. She maintains her balance at the cost of her poor ankle. Her front paw finally finds its way back to the ground, but Revna does not leave it there for long. If the pale woman does not release her foot then she will be forced to remain in the current position with only minute changes. As such, Revna lifts the leg again, this time aiming to sling it over the woman's back and dig her claws into her spine, hoping to grab onto her flesh and take hold there. Then she attempts to bite down harder on the flesh of the woman's shoulder and shake her head, hoping to cause enough pain to convince the woman to let go and back off at last. Shiva can only guess that her opponent is getting desperate with the way that she was pawing at her, trying to find something for her claws to hang onto, to cut into as she continued to gnash the woman's ankle bone between her fangs. Enough was enough when Revna's piercing claw dug somewhere between her spine and ribs and an uncomfortable surge of pain forced the albino woman to release the ankle.

At the same time, she tried to duck out of @Revna 's grasp, and whether or not successful, she would have moved against it regardless. Whether lucky enough to be released or now wearing fresh lacerations from Revna's claws, Shiva made a sharp turn and darted through the nearby brush, hellbent on getting out of the territory before she made this an even bigger mess than it already was. /exit

Finally the other woman releases her ankle, just as Revna's claws dig into the woman's spine. The hold does not last long and the woman ducks down, tearing herself away from the grip that Revna has taken on her back. Her claws are torn free and she finally finds herself with all four paws on the ground again.

Though she has clearly lost, she has achieved what she wanted from the short fight. The pale woman ducks into the bushes and flees like the coward that she is, and that leaves Revna to commit the woman's features to memory. She will not forget the trespasser, and she will make a point to come down hard on the woman if she ever caught her a second time.

With that done, Revna stalks off into the trees to continue her check along the borders, since clearly, they seem to have a problem with keeping out intruders. She will strengthen the scent a little more and check for other trespassers before finding a healer to tend her wounds.
