The audacity? Hecuba sneered. "We owe you nothing, boy. Spitting on Seraphiel, who is a beloved member of this pride? You are unworthy and we will be taking our leave with or without your blessing." Hecuba snarled at the lion, furious. "You're here for five minutes and already threaten a member and his daughter, then expect us to tickle your balls and welcome you? Hilarious." She would have given the fool a chance if he hadn't already fucked himself over, but alas. Hecuba gave no second chances. "Get your daughter and let's go. We'll find a safe place that isn't run by a twat." Because ew, she had standards. full exit |

Summer
The summer season has finally reached its peak. The sunshine is plentiful, the days are long and the air is hot and humid - but the evenings do not seem to provide the same relief that they once had, and remain somewhat stuffy. Thunderstorms have also began appearing more frequently, particularly in the rainforest and eastern region, though the rain is welcomed after a relatively dry season thus far.

Solanum was so confused, she stepped out from underneath her father and listened to the man's words, then she turned to Seraphiel, bright yellow eyes full of worry, this man was calling her father a trespasser. He was threatening him, but he didn't say he would release her, the chimera was shaking a bit, she refused to show tears though, trying to be brave, she stood tall, as tall as one could be when you're tiny even for a cub.
She didn't know one thing about politics, how could she decide on loyalties? She would of course want to be with her father. A chance was something she didn't know a thing about either, and a month felt like a year.

He hadn't expected the man to agree with his demand (for it hadn't in the slightest bit been a request), and indeed he didn't. Before he could say anything, however, Hecuba joined her voice to his, her presence welcome to him. He'd nodded to her when she approached to join them, flicking his ear to her as she spoke to the man, an amused smirk quirking up a corner of his mouth as he listened.
Solanum too had come, no doubt drawn by the man's call, sheltering beneath him where she was no doubt safest. He lowered his head to speak with her, continuing to keep his gaze trained upon the new sovereign. "It's all right. We're just leaving. Follow Hecuba and I'll be right behind you," he said to her softly as Hecuba turned to leave. He'd take up the rear of this little parade that was no doubt about to start, because again he doubted they would all be allowed to go peacefully.

Blah blah politics, blah blah rules, blah blah blah blah. God, everyone talked too much. Except Hecuba, who talked just the right amount with just the right amount of venom that she couldn't help but smirk.
"Yeah, fuck it," she muttered. "Come on, let's just go. He can't stop all of us," she said to both Zahra and Alma. She'd like to see him try and take on four lionesses and a big ass lion at the same time, honestly. Maybe two big ass lions, if Drakon got there sometime soon to lend a claw or two. That'd be a short lived reign if he was that stupid to take them all on. Probably be smarter to try to stop just one of them, if he was going to, but then which one of them? She was curious to see if he was going to try, honestly.

She held doubt about his following words, they all had been stable and we'll under Seneca's guidance. She never felt bad nor that she didn't have a chance to even get a rank with hardwork. But not this man took it all without mercy. And now that a former Bluffs lion had taken their home, the sensation of safety she saw here faded with his arrival. "You took the only safe place I had found..your former pride hates my family, it i stay i am at risk of being killed! Your old pride mates may won't take it well for you to house a member of their enemies.." But where else she could go? Her only safe heaven was gone with the Miroslav.. But she remained, wondering what laws could come now. "I do want to know what rules will you stablish, but it's better for both of us to not have me here." @Ryker |

Ah. The grey woman (@Hecuba) had an attitude. In another life, maybe they would have gotten along. Her retort only earned a sneer to match her own, "Where did I threaten? Hm? He was ejected from the pride the moment I won - so, not actually a member, regardless of your opinion. I instructed him to get the fuck out and the cub wouldn't be harmed. So if you heard a threat, that sounds like a you problem, doesn't it." So maybe he had been threatening the kid in a vague way, but this was far more entertaining to turn the woman's accusations back on her, make her look like she was putting paranoid words in his mouth.
Attention zeroed in on the red woman (@Zahra), then. "I don't know your family, or why Wolfbron hates them, but it should be pretty obvious I mean to discuss an alliance so, yeah, if your presence here would ruin that you should leave." He wouldn't risk something like that for the sake of a single member. Especially not when he hoped to keep the bluffs as a place to return if and when someone came along and knocked him off his shiny new throne.
He'd address the rest of the group once more when he continued "I'm not actually stupid enough to keep loyalists to the previous regime around," even if that meant he'd be left with an empty pride. "So if you're loyal to Seneca specifically, get out. If not, maybe stay around and see what happens next, mm?" Part of him had briefly thought it would be really fucking funny to take the place and immediately disband it, but the more sensible part of him recognized that just left the territory open for the taking if Seneca or his lackeys felt like it. And, of course, there was that streak of ambition that he supposed ran through them all. Who didn't want to be king for at least a day?

It seemed that everyone in the pride wished to leave. He didn't wish to but it seemed as if he would have to. Would he be let back? He had no idea but he had to try. Seneca losing seemed to mean that the pride was meant to be vacated of its members.
If there was one thing the medic knew well it was how to follow orders. He didn't want to leave but he would simply because that was what he had to do. Perhaps he would be allowed back and perhaps he wouldn't be. Only time would tell on that one. Hopefully it wouldn't take too long. After all he only planned to venture past the borders and then wait there to see if he would be allowed back.

Huh, the man's wasn't only someone to threaten cubs, but also be mean as fuck. But well, even though she was willing to hear him, to learn what he would do. "Hah, well i was going to listen to your ideas but i will have my leave then." Maybe it was for the best, she didn't want to have her life at risk, the safe heaven ended with Seneca, and maybe this man was dangerous to stick with. He said nothing else as she left not before taking her things from her den and the leave. Places like this with ass kings didn't last long, and she would enjoy the day him too lost it against someone better than him. For now it was time to look for a new home.. exit

"Like of we would betray Seneca like that. We aren't fucking traitors. We aren't fucking rats like you and your old pride."
And she lifted her shoulders.
"I agree with everyone here, if you just threaten your possible embers like that, and then expect them to stick then you are a complete idiot. But anyways, as you said there might be others who will fight for this pride. And i hope to be there, the moment you get your ass kicked and out of here." She laughed before leaving, there were better places to be. So this wasn't the end of the world for her. Exit

CALLISTO
Were all such natives so pointlessly dramatic?
Amidst it all Callisto is painfully aware that @Noa was not among those who answered - another dead end. Entertaining as the whole peacocking display was, it seems only @Ryker, the child and it's father remained yet. No doubt to make sure the cub could leave freely and yet... Well, this is awkward The Lilac woman croons in, giving a faux and almost mocking grimace as her eyes dart between the child and the king. Ironic, to be blamed for another mans failings, no? (It was this 'Seneca' who lost afterall.) Callisto muses ponderously towards the High Sovereign before her gaze levels on @Seraphiel with a faint sense of distaste; perhaps merely because she disagreed with his methods and not his intent. Only a fool would attract such attention to a child they claimed to love and protect. Even if she walked out of here with them, the King might yet keep his claim out of spite. Did no one ever learn honey was sweeter than salt?
