it was the crashing of the undergrowth that caught eisa's attention, and brought her crouching through the undergrowth to see what in the world was that noisy? She remained a careful distance away from the massive beast, studying it, wondering if the pride would come and take him down. the creature was huge and kinda scary, and Eisa wasn't totally sure what it was.

But the aspiring young hunter, was curious enough that she wanted to join the hunt if she was allowed too. Though she wasn't sure her mother would let her... she could maybe cause a distraction if they needed it? Or she could just watch and not participate- whatever she was told to do... but she really wanted to try

He had heard voices while he slept, which made his nights hard to find rest into. He didn't heard anything specific but the mere sensation of having noises that sounded inside his own skull made it scary. Today with tired eyes he walked around to have his thoughts cleaned. A lot troubled him, and in the light to not worry anyone he went right to try getting rid of it before it became too noticeable that he wasn't sleeping well. As he walked he spotted a buffalo, dangerously coming close. He was quick to call for help while he spotted a cub. He dropped to the ground, as now that he wasn't a cub anymore felt right to finally join the hunts.

Caligula heard the call and he made his way towards it. He couldn't shake the funny feeling of the dream that he had. Who was it? Who was the other one? Had Maua really stole from them? Caligula would have never thought Maua to be the sort but it wasn't as if he hadn't been wrong about others before.

When he got there he found a buffalo, Ansel, and a cub. His first instinct was to go over to the cub and crouch down by her. "What do you think? Pretty big isn't it?" If he needed to hold back from the hunt to watch over her and keep her safe then he would.

Aquila is not far behind his beloved. The bronze lion moves up, some urgency in his step, to join @Caligula at @Eisa's side. Where his mate crouched Aquila remained standing tall, eyes locked onto the dangerous creature that had wandered into their home. Without entirely knowing or meaning too he was shifting ahead just slightly. Drifting so that he could easily cut in between Caligula, Eisa, and the Buffalo if it turned upon his family. He grew tense, ready to take action against the beast if one wrong move was made and it seemed there was a true threat here. Or if his family said the command and they were going to take it down to feast._{ART — CODE}

There would never be a time he would say no to a hunt, especially when the hunt was so easily brought into his paws. As Eskel approaches the group with a seemingly lazy stride, he would study those gathered. Eyes narrow on the presence of a young cub, and he notes the ruler of the brook, another... male who was maneless and another yearling.

Letting out a soft sigh, he would approach the group near the cub, aiming to come alongside the ruler of the brook - @Aquila , with a respectful incline of his head- and another line of defense to the youngster.

"Big prey for small paws," He would rumble, glancing at her -@Eisa and the others, a slight glimmer of worry in his pink gaze. Yet it wasn't his place to tell her no- to bid her away from this hunt.

The scent of prey on the wind caught her attention, as did the growing scent of her pridemates from the same direction as the scent of prey. And the scent of her daughter stuck out clearest. What on earth was her little gem doing at a hunt? Narrowing her gaze, Cassandra quickened her pace towards the source. The newly minted High Sovereign would've been at the hunt anyways, but her daughter being in the same area had her moving towards it more quickly.

As Cassandra approached the source of the prey scent, she confirmed that it was indeed a buffalo - one that seemed quite old. They'd be taking it down hopefully today as well - but her attention would turn to a brightly colored cub near @Aquila and @Caligula. Spotting Rabbit (@Eskel) nearby as well, the High Sovereign would move towards the four of them. "@Eisa - you shouldn't be here. This could get dangerous amica mea*." She rumbled quietly, cocking an eyebrow at her daughter. "But if you insist on being here - stay out of the way once the hunt gets underway. I will not have you getting hurt." She added, giving her daughter a look that said she better not try anything funny.

She would look between the four other older lions gathered, giving a nod to @Ansel as well now that she'd taken care of making certain her daughter understood that she was to stay out of the way no matter what. And then her attention would turn to their quarry, ready to get started on the hunt once a moment presented itself.

three years, no trade bonus The hunt did not go unnoticed for Khal this time. "I will protect her," comes the rumble of @Cassandra's littermate and his dark winged figure appears from the surrounding forest, moving toward @Eisa as the others prepared for the hunt. "Stick with me, okay Eisa? It'll be fun." He hadn't spent much time in the Brook of late, and wasn't even sure his nieces and nephews would remember him from the visits he'd made when they were but newborns, but perhaps it was time to make and effort. Before he did eventually decide to strike out on his own. Or rather with Voluspa, he hoped. Silver streaked eyes lingered back onto the buffalo warily, understanding the fear it must be feeling now as the mist in his dream still haunted him.

Another day, another hunt.

Valkravn was drawn to the distress calls the buffalo was creating. She only figured that other Vermedan members would be drawn by the noise, as well, and soon enough her assumptions would be made true. Gaze would look over at each of the lions that had gathered so far, settling herself in the midst of them and awaiting for the cue to set forth and bring down this hefty beast. It would bring the Brook more than enough food, giving them a little bit of a head start in filling up their cache for the colder months to come.

Tuathla did not know of many ways to remedy the ache her sisters absence had created in her chest, but she knew that moping around in her den would not solve her issues. She managed to pull herself together long enough to catch the scent of the errant buffalo, and silken limbs carried her in the direction of its path. The native would arrive to find that she was not alone in the thought to hunt the beast, and indigo eyes would flit with a kindling interest over the others who had gathered. Only a few were familiar to her, and she would eye the strangers with a quick glance – saving most of her focus for the hunt ahead. Since it seemed that the other adults already had the youths under paw, Tuathla said nothing and would settle low into the grass and await the signal for the hunt to begin.
