Things had changed in the past several weeks. Things that shifted her "maybe" to a "definitely" that needed to be discussed with her husband. Hecuba did not want to step near the forsaken territory, but the chances of her simply bumping into him outside were slim to none. She wondered where he slept here and if he was ever lonely knowing his wife was across the map just as alone. It wouldn't take much to change that, but oh well. Hecuba called for her husband at the borders, her hackles raised as she suspiciously glanced around for Gwyn. Try her, jerk.

Her scent was what gave her away before her voice hit his ears. Drakon kept himself busy. He didn't do much sleeping at night but when he did, his den was close to the borders unlike it had been at the coast. At the coast, his den was farthest from the borders but here; it was much different. However, Hecuba was right. There was a very simple way of changing their living arrangements. However, his mind was wiped clean when he spotted his wife at the borders and would chuff to her. "Hecuba.. my treasure. What are you doing here?" He was curious but cautious due to how Hecuba felt about Gwyn and his possessiveness began to show as he would brush against her side.

Maybe she was just trying to prove to Gwyn she wasn't afraid of him or his shifty ways. Maybe she deadass just wanted to go for a walk. Hecuba didn't know why she was there instead of waiting for him to come to her, but whatever. She was there now, no turning back.

He arrived shortly and she smiled. "I just wanted you to know it's confirmed. I am pregnant." Hecuba couldn't say she wasn't nervous about it, but there was no turning back now. Can't unsex her, Drakon.

Straight to the point. Drakon blinked at her and then to her sides that would surely be growing in size soon. A grin broke out then and he brushed his nose against her cheek and then moved towards her sides. "I wonder what they will be like.. What they will look like. I hope one looks like you." He would state, glancing towards her slightly before looking back towards her sides. "How are you feeling? Is your den comfortable enough? Do I need to come and stay the nights with you when I'm not needed here?" Was he really needed here? Did Gwyn need his help really? Maybe he could convince Gwyn to let Ram be his Sovereign instead of himself. These were things that he needed to get in order now.

Oh whoa, okay, there were a lot of questions and thoughts all of a sudden. Hecuba blinked as he rattled off a list of things and finally grinned in amusement, finding the concern endearing. "I'm feeling well enough, my den is good enough for now, and you don't need to but of course you're welcome." Hecuba laughed at the whole situation before adding in: "It is pretty different to be sleeping alone, though." Without the warmth of another against her, Hecuba found herself colder than was possible given the outside temperatures. Her tail lazily swung behind her as she shrugged her shoulders. "I just thought you would want to know, obviously. I'll try to send someone when I go into labor." Jewel would probably do the damn thing herself, honestly.

Even though she said it, he didnt like it. "No I will come stay with you. I've missed you terribly." He would atate obviously as he nuzzled her side. Ears twitching add the thought of having more children. "It is.." It was different he had gotten so used to sleeping next to some one that now it just didn't feel right. "As you get closer I wont be leaving arms Gwyn will have to kiss my ass." He would shrug

Hecuba's smile was soft, almost sad in the way it pulled her lips. "I've missed you too, my dragon," she said with a longing sigh. How she missed the days before everything went south, where her hardest task was simply to convince his other three children she wasn't trying to take their mother's place. Even before then, when it she had been nothing more than a warm body for the king and life had been about her own desires and needs. Simplicity. She craved it.

"Be careful what you wish for. If he has the balls to bite mine, he'll certainly pucker up for yours." Hecuba rolled her eyes. As if she would ever let such a man touch her body, hmph.

Dragon. The word echoed in bis ear druma as he moved to brush against her gently. "Youve traveled far.. Stay with me tonight." Just one night in the Hollow and he wouldnt ask it of her again. He just wanted one night with her here with him and then he'll stay with her in the Cove. He felt his body flinch at the tease she presented and the memory of Sarthak literally doing just that. "Yea.. Lets not." He would rumble at her.

It was hard to say no to him when he asked with those puppy eyes, wasn't it? Hecuba hadn't really considered staying the night before he'd asked, but now that he mentioned it, she was a bit tired. Wary of Gwyn, however, Hecuba hesitated. "If you keep him away from me," she huffed softly. If he stayed away, she would be able to.. possibly get some rest. She hoped. There was nothing worse than waking up more exhausted than before, huh? "Just tonight, though. I don't want to make staying here a thing lest he started thinking I like him.." she trailed off, glancing around to see if the Casimir was around.

He grinned at her when she agreed to stay if only for one night and Gwyn stayed away. "Dont worry. Hes already told me youre welcomed here. Not that hed have a choice." He really wouldnt. Aint no one keeping hecuba from him but himself or Hecuba. But thats a different story. Moving towards the caves, Drakon would lead her through the tunnels and towards his den. It was huge for just him but maybe he had hoped she would have joined him by now. He stopped and nuzzled her towards his bedding. "Hungry?" Was that a trick question?
