July Y13
Summer
Summer is in full swing now, with clear skies, warm nights, and ample sunshine! As such, the deserts begin to grow dry, the shores remain a blissful escape, the north is spared with cooling winds, and humidity continues to rise in the jungle. Rain and storms are long forgotten troubles by now, which is both a virtue and a vice during the heat of the season.

it was time to go, it would seem. he watched as each of his pride-mates began to disembark. their attention satiated, their curiosity fed. thales stood for a moment, taking it in. he came, he saw; and now, he understood the concerns. the reality began to sink in, to delve into his flesh and root itself there. An ominious tremble fed down his spine, alighting each sense with a caress of adrenaline. he had no interest in pursuing such fame, such glory on the battlefield. but it would seem it was something he'd need to learn. his eyes held onto the gladiators for a contemplative moment, just to acknowledge the weight of all this meant for their futures. it was no longer just them scattered across amaryllis. the new neighbours moved in, and boy did they seem like a rough crowd. thales, gave a soft sigh before shadowing after his kinfolk. exit.

The white lioness observed the fight that seemed to grow and grow silently, her pink eyes studying each of the participants. She took careful note of who attacked who and when exactly each person leapt in, intent on taking in all she could about the relationships of those involved.
She noted when the original combatants broke off, the calls of several to break up the fight, but they seemed to fall on deaf ears. Kimagure's gaze flicked upward to survey the spectators as well, taking in how the groups organized themselves, whether or not they spoke to one another, even if she could not hear the exact words spoken.
Finally, the fights began to end. It had been a long time since she saw a fight of that scale. Kimagure saw many others starting to leave and the ivory female took to her paws as well, heading back up the slopes of the pit. Kimagure kept her ears on a swivel as she left, hoping to ensure no one snuck up on her.

the fray was slowly dwindling, and the electric buzz within the air starting to wane. ambrosine's attention is split between @Petra, @Hanneth, and @Manes, unsure of what was in more immediate need of her attention. to much of her dismay, however, she watches as the lilac beauty opts to take her leave, slipping off amongst the slowing carnage and disappearing somewhere within the crowd -- until next time -- before the dieudonne is wrangled back into hanneth's immediate flurry of confusion. it seemed as though something was happening with the bronze queen and her family, and so ambrosine would let them go willingly and without any attempt to put pause on their departure. "find me later, if you need me." was all that she could offer towards hanneth as she takes her leave with @Paloma, wondering absently what the hell had just happened.
the parisian was not alone, however, as her gaze moves back to the scuffle, and just in time, too. because there, in the center of it all, was her husband, victorious, despite the absurdity of the situation. her chest swells in a bubble of pride and satisfaction, though she attempts to smother it beneath her surface, hoping to keep it far from prying eyes that watched them upon the stone ledges. limbs curl, promptly moving ambrosine to stand at manes' side so that the pair could take their leave together-- but not before ambrosine would crane her maw back over her shoulder, sending a series of chuffs out towards her family, inviting them to join her, should they wish. exit.

Things had finally come to an end, much to Lilith's relief. She glanced over at Siofra, giving her a nod before turning her attention back to her family members, the few that remained that is. Immediately her attention went to Balrog and the injuries he sustained, "Balrog, come. I'll tend to your wounds brother." She said, not necessarily asking but moreso telling him. Lilith was of course the most kind-hearted individual of the Casimir's and she didn't intend on letting her brother suffer from the wounds he obtained. She motioned to Siofra with a flick of her tail then, "Siofra come, I'll need your assistance with gathering herbs." Finally they could be done with this place, after all it just gave her the creeps the longer they stayed here.
@Balrog - Lilith is addressing him so she can hopefully tend to his wounds after this thread, let me know if you'd be interested in that!

The fight had ended, the Dieudonne had come out victorious, all was as it should be. Amra stood beside @Vermier, doing an attempt at Looming and Glowering at all before her. Eyes never stopped moving, roving across all spectators and combatants alike, searching for more danger should any arise. Body thrummed with energy; toes hardly able to keep still as she fidgeted ever so slightly in place.
But eventually, finally, Manes looked to his family, with Ambrosine at his side calling for them to follow. And, like Vermier the dutiful dog, Amra followed. She sent a glance to Vermier, offering him a large grin, acknowledgement that they weren’t just popcorn buddies but battle buddies now, and then carefully picked her way around the sprawled mass of Casimir bodies they had left at their feet to follow her cousin and her husband away from the carnage.

The others speak around her, but Tuathla’s eyes and focus are held by the feuding foreigners, who continued dolling out their animosities in the depths of the pit. However, there was some subtle clue, a subconscious recognition, that the lioness divined, indicating to her that the momentum of their fighting had reached its climax and soon would be coming to an end. The yearling wanted to stick around and see who would emerge as the victor—although she had a pretty good idea at this point—and in the same vein, she didn’t wish to get in the way of any sore losers who might choose this path out of the trench. So she lingered for a few moments longer, her indigo eyes surveying those below, before nudging her sister and at last taking her leave of this place.

Finally it was over and done with, and they began to wander out of the pit. Heloise shook her head slightly and rose, choosing to head out instead of going down to offer her services at the moment. She would return to her family and let them know about what had happened here and what was likely coming their way. They would need to prepare now, to say the least. These strangers could easily pose a serious threat to their way of life.

Ultimately, the battle came to a disappointing end. Far too little bloodshed for his tastes when considering how many bodies had been involved. The crowd began to dissipate, and Alucard huffed, shifting to head toward the path up and out. Maybe, some other day, he would get lucky enough to witness a true war again. Maybe if he was really lucky, he'd even get to join in.
If he knew anything about what sparked the battle, he might wonder if it would happen again. If anything had been resolved or if more issues had been created - he hoped for the latter, it offered the most potential for a repeat. Of course the only way to gather that sort of information was to actually hang around and chat with the other spectators and, well, he wasn't really in the mood for that. He'd rather sink his own claws into someone's flesh.
An urge to spark more chaos was stamped down, he had not slipped so far as to be slave to every little urge and whim. Yet.

No satisfactory answers came, and eventually the sounds of fighting died down and the main blurs seemed to either diminish or settle. A seed of anxiety had been planted here, and he would struggle against allowing it to sprout into something dangerous. These strangers...he couldn't hope to guess at what had triggered the violent display, but he would not condemn the many for the actions of the few. He was descended from foreigners himself, after all. He knew there could be peace with effort.
Others shifted around him, and he recognized that as a sign things had well and truly come to an end. Ganymede rose with a quiet sigh and moved to follow the familiar shapes and scents of his pridemates up and out of the pit, from there his paws knew the way home. The coming days and months were sure to be interesting while everyone adjusted to each other. He wondered, idly, if these strangers had expected anyone else to have been living on the island, if they were so self-centered they'd imagined they'd found an inexplicably vacant land. He pushed the thought aside, twinges of bitterness would do him no good.

[OOC: Guess I have never exited this. rip.] Jewel would watch from the sidelines, her expression carefully blank as the brawl in the ring of blood started to ebb. Claws would flex as even the normally collected lady would itch to get involved. Still, she would remain aloof and neutral. When things started to wind down, the lioness would cast her glance around the area once more before getting to her feet and taking her leave, returning back towards the Cove with some new information and many more questions. //Exit// |
