yearling, no bonus Things are different here, but that doesn't necessarily mean she doesn't like them. Her heart aches for the things she has lost, but Beelzebub has begun to see hope again, too. Familiar faces that she trusts surround her, and she no longer feels as though prying eyes are judging her every move, labeling her enemy. She's picked up a trail of something fresh as evening is falling, and she meanders quietly through the rubble of rocky paths, taking care with each footfall. The Bluffs are still vastly unfamiliar to her, but day by day, she learns it a little better. She chuffs softly, calling out to her pridemates to alert them to the tracks she's found in the dust. |

Summer
With the last of the rainfall seeming to have swept across the peninsula, summer days await! The days are warm, though comfortable, and peeter off into more mild evenings while the humidity remains low. It is the perfect inbetween until things transition towards more sweltering temperatures, so best enjoy it while it is here.

Non-family should only refer to Beelzebub as "Bee." She is very superstitious about revealing her full name and will not do so unless you are extremely trusted.
yearling; no bonus
Things were drier here, but in many ways it was more like their old home than the lagoon. Echo misses being able to wallow in the warm shallow water, yet there is an ease to living here that she hadn't felt in quite some time. There was no immediate drama or violence, and the threat of upheaval felt distant. Maybe they could be safe here for a while.
She follows after @Beelzebub's soft call, wondering what sort of prey made its home in the rocky landscape. Her steps are quiet and sure as she treks after her sister - Echo was always a nimble stalker. Where she lacked in strength she made up for in stealth and subsequent surprise when it came to hunts.

"4Y | Submaster Lvl 3 | Count as 2 Lions in any hunt - +1 to hunt roll - -1 to prey dodge"
Where there was hunting, there would be Naeina. She loved the thrill and the take down. Everything about being a predator. The Bluffs was unfamiliar territory to her for now, but she could quietly pick her way in the direction of the call anyways. The lioness would appear and find two yearlings present. A set of tracks nearby had her padding towards them and offering them a curious glance before following them with her eyes in the direction they went in. The moon marked maiden did offer @Echo and @Beelzebub a grunt of greeting while she joined them in awaiting others.

yearling, level 2 ranger (+1 to hunt rolls)
Dust clings to her hair, obscuring some of the more pale spots that adorn her. Thus far the girl has been relatively lazy today, sprawled against a sun-warmed outcrop of rock. She is becoming more familiar with the territory, taken to exploring its crevices and caverns during the days, and as such she's slowly deciding on preferred areas. This particular spot is a bit out of the way of the others, which is why she likes to take her naps here. While being deaf gives her the advantage of not being bothered by the sound of her pridemates (like, say, Vermier tromping around bragging in broken English or Amara's cubs screeching while they wrecked havoc on the world), it also inconveniences her with hypervigilance. Being a light sleeper was paramount to a girl who wouldmiss all of the fun be an easy target to ambush if she slept like the dead.
Another benefit of this little perch was its proximity to the pride's food cache. Nothing hit the spot for Ursula quite like taking a nap, having a snack and then taking a nap. As such, she hasn't even shaken the sleep from her fur by the time she's peering down at the remnants of their stored prey. The yearling had fully intended on carrying something back to what she has deemed to be her spot, but the available supply was less than she had been expecting. They weren't low by any means on emergency portions, but with a nursing mother, weaning (or soon to be? she can't remember her first taste of meat and isn't anything close to a nursemaid) cubs, and a healing prior-leader... the girl didn't feel right in depleting it anymore than it already was. Her pride, her family needed it more than she does.
That being said, she turns away but does not move back to her now-cold resting spot. Dark looms over the cliffs and crags, and she knows that the shadows will help more than hinder her efforts to bolster the cache. Plucking her way along, she lets her nose lead her once again toward prey, and between it and she the girl finds the gathering hunting party. How convenient! @Beelzebub is many steps ahead of her deaf sister in pinpointing a worthwhile source to track, as is made even more evident as the stranger among them (@Naeina) begins to scout it too. @Echo's lithe frame trails behind them, and Ursula easily falls into place as well. She moves a bit slower than the rest, taking extra care with her steps to ensure that she doesn't disrupt their collective efforts to locate a target.

Amara Dieudonné
6 years - Submaster Lvl 3 - Count as 2 Lions in any hunt & +1 to hunt roll & -1 to prey dodge
Amara was impressed to hear the call from Bee rise up, softer in nature but still, Amara was glad to see that the yearling wasn't just going to sit around and do nothing. Amara arrived and took a look at those gathered, each one gaining a nod before she looked toward Bee to see how she handled a hunting party. There had been a lot of hunts in the Lagoon and Amara was hoping the same would happen here. The lands were more friendly to prey animals and they had far more willing members here than they had in the Lagoon, something she was still trying to get used to having.

In the end their group is relatively small, but they fell their prey as a collective and reap the spoils regardless. It is nice, in Ursula's opinion, to achieve this shared goal with her sister's at her side, and even Amara, too. While the other dark woman is a stranger, the yearling figures this is as good as any way to bond with a new pride-mate. There's a sense of normalcy to the whole ordeal, and with it comes a calm as well for the girl. This wasn't the Lagoon and half of her family hasn't been around for a while, but she's beginning to believe that maybe things would actually be okay after all. Figuring this meal would do best in the somewhat dwindling cache, the girl snags a chunk to carry on over to it. Once there, she places her larger bounty into it and seizes something smaller for herself to snack on, loping off to replenish her energy in a spot of the remaining sunlight.

Amara Dieudonné
It felt good to be hunting with them again. To feel the unity that came from dragging down prey with pride mates. She huffed and her sides heaved as she stood next to their prize and looked at those who helped with some pride hinting in her eyes. This was how things were supposed to be and she was thankful that it finally was getting there. She waited for each to take their fill before she took her own and set off back into the pride lands to make sure that things were ok. Even though this felt normal she was still uneasy with things and could only hope things would get better.
