“Babe, there's something tragic about you
Something so magic about you
Don't you agree?
Babe, there's something lonesome about you
Something so wholesome about you
Get closer to me.” He paused, paw lightly tapping the beat. He preferred higher singing to low, bass sounds. It had taken him a long time to perfect it, as well. Hadn’t been easy. Now he wanted everyone to hear it. Though he wasn’t aware he had any sort of company.

“No tight side, no rolling eyes, no irony
No 'who cares', no vacant stares, no time for me
Honey you're familiar like my mirror years ago
Idealism sits prison, chivalry fell on it's sword
Innocence died screaming, honey ask me I should know
I slithered here from Eden just to sit outside your door.” He finished the first verse, voice filling the grotto with song. Perfectly excited to have an enraptured audience, as he always was. It was especially nice to see someone pretty enjoy his song. Though he did notice the scent on her pelt was like that of his claimed cousin’s. He still sang the song directly to her. Trying to make a connection of some sort.
“Babe, there's something wretched about this
Something so precious about this
Oh what a sin
To the strand a dinner planned for you and me
A vine in paw for your other man to hang from a tree
Honey you're familiar like my mirror years ago
Idealism sits in prison, chivalry fell on it's sword
Innocence died screaming, honey ask me I should know
I slithered here from Eden just to sit outside your door.” He prepared for the final verse, his foot tapping the new rhythm. Nodding at her to keep it going as he closed his eyes, singing his heart out. Absolutely ecstatic, though keeping the bittersweet and loving undertones intact.
“Honey you're familiar like my mirror years ago
Idealism sits in prison, chivalry fell on it's sword
Innocence died screaming, honey ask me I should know
I slithered here from Eden just to hide outside your door.” He finished, bowing his crown at her. He looked back up at her, smiling in a charming manner, “does this wondrous muse have a name?”
@Siofra
"I am Siofra." Her name melodically came across her tongue and amongst her verbal greeting she gave a polite nod. A name and some formal kindness seemed a very small price to pay for the song from the charming and handsome young man. "And your name? I imagine with such a romantic heart you must have a name to match that." In the grotto, his song still ringing through her ears and the scent of plants and herbs rising around her she felt isolated. A small world, a window or time for just the two of them.
“What brought such a lovely lady to the Grotto today?” He asked cordially, a bit curious and nosy, too. But as was his nature. He’d love a bit of gossip. But so far the lands seemed dry of any such drama. What a shame. Though he wished not to be involved in it himself. No, as stress-free and easy a life for him, please. With maybe a tad bit of romantic drama. Yes, that’s what he needed in life.
@Siofra
And so she was happy to share some of herself with him. "Come." Siofra asked of him to come closer and nestle down on the earth with her. She lightly pressed some of the plants around her to the side with her paw, sweeping them so they barely bent out of place and then rolled back to where they belonged as her paw moved on. She plucked one with smaller leaves which released a sweet aroma as she broke the stem from the root. "This grotto is full of plants I've never seen before." As he was to the song she was to the earth and foliage. Her words, calm and certainly infinitely more subdued than his song, were filled with a similar passion and enjoyment to them. A pride. She nibbled on the leaf and let the herbacious taste spread over her tongue, having little more effect than something enjoyable to the taste.

He nodded in agreement, “I’ve seen many plants and flowers, but none quite like this. Where I am from, there are fields filled to the brim with flowers. That’s why our family names after them.” He explained calmly, plucking a plant himself and nibbling it himself. Ah, it had such a fresh taste. Sunny allowed his golden eyes to wander around the area. Feeling at peace. Close to both Sól and Jord alike. They seemed to hold this domain within their grasp, even. Blessing the earth with many plants and allowing the blessed sun to peak through.
Oh… if only Poppy could see this place. He glanced back at Siofra, but then away again. It wasn’t right to ask her about Poppy. For all he knew, she could’ve been claimed into that pride too.
@Siofra
Siofra sighed softly, taking a few more solid nibbles of the herb she'd plucked. Content that it was surely not poisonous she began to wonder if it might have any medicinal impact or just something that tasted calm and lovely. "My family likes to use names that have dark connotation, the bad guys from legends. Things or characters that cause trouble." Say that what it may about her family- at some point in history his ancestors saw flowers and said 'that will be a good name' where hers saw darkness. And so on children followed that tradition without question. Siofra among them- she shared the stark contrast to his own tradition without care or seeming perturbed. She was not oozing with pride over it all either- it was fact and seemingly one she was not going to be challenging anytime soon. "Your homeland sounds beautiful." Siofra circled around as her mind began to day dream of flower fields again
Sunny nodded at her words. “It was, but our matriarch wanted us to move. So we did.” He glanced at her, looking a bit awkward, “I believe she was claimed into your pride, you have a similar scent now. Our family quite misses her, she’s the head of it, after all.” He ceased his speaking, now. He somehow guessed she wouldn’t be too eager to help. But he had to try. He had no name in these lands, after all.
