There was no shortage of moments where Jafar would have liked to just walk away from @Bijoux as she attempted to correct him and get angry. Angry over something that was pointless and there was no way for him to explain to her that she could understand better. That being called something like darling was meant as something nice. Trust me, Bijoux. If I could get away with calling Maia darling, I would. Because at this point he honestly didn't think Maia had any interest in him other than that he was a good acquaintance or a loyal pride mate. Sure. You can call me darling and I'll only call you Bijoux. Frustration was all that children seemed to bring to the table and he was reliving it over and over again just for the sake of love. Though, now he wasn't so sure he wanted to breach the subject of her curse cover. I am glad that you trust me. Did he trust Bijoux? About as far as he could toss a tree -- which he couldn't, so. No offense to Bijoux, of course... it was just her youthful irritation that made it so.

"Darling trust Maia?" Because clearly this conversation about trust was important. "Maia sometime forget too." But to Bijoux that seemed typical of all adults. She was determined not to be like that as an adult. She would remember everyone's name! This was a very important determination for Bijoux.

"Walk now?" The girl though she was already moving. She had ambled a few steps away from Jafar in order to sniff at some plant or another. It didn't smell bad and so she stuck out her tongue to lick it. She wasn't sure if it tasted like a cure or not though. But then she also wasn't sure what a cure was meant to taste like.

Yes, he answers without hesitation because when it came down to it he did trust her. Aside from her leading alongside one of the Hodari's for a little while he had no other reason to trust her. He didn't know her that well but he knew that he felt strongly towards her. That there was something about her that pulled him in. Yes, we are both forgetful but you are right. We can do better. They could remember her name and in the very least, they could remember that she in particular preferred to be called by her name rather than anything else even if it was just a pet name or a word of endearment. She wanted @Bijoux and that was what she would get.

With a nod of confirmation he followed after the young girl so that they could begin their walk. In the very least he was there to escort her and protect her, but he occasionally sniffed at plants like she did as though he was also partaking in helping her find this cure. A cure he didn't think was necessary but hadn't the heart (or, at this point, the correct relationship) to tell her any different. So he was happy to trail behind her and act as she wanted him to. exit jafar via finding a cure

The promise to try to do better was enough for the girl. That was all she really wanted anyways. She wanted to be her own person. She was a big girl and wished to be recognized as so. She wasn't a baby and therefore didn't need baby names. Plus New Mama had used other names than her name. New Mama had refused to call her Bijoux no matter how many times the girl had reminded her of what her name was.

Maybe she should ask Jafar about those names. Jafar seemed to know all the names. But that was a question for another time as the male was currently helping her look for a cure. She didn't want to interrupt the cure search for a silly name discussion.
