With a fire in his throat and his stomach twisted, he would leave his sister in her den to recover and make a beeline for the chambers he shared with his wife. Given the hour, it was more than likely to assume that she would be inside. Quietly manoeuvring past their slumbering children, he would turn the corner and slink down the tunnel, moving until the dark shape of his partner came into view. One step, and then another, until he was mere inches from her. @Nadia, he rumbled quietly, offering the lowest and subtlest of chuffs in a bid to wake her. Despite his anger, it was certainly not her fault, and so he would do his best to keep a hold of his temper and rouse her as gently as he could muster.

There had been so much happening that it was enough to cause one's head to spin. Thankfully her wounds had begun to heal with the help of Elijah but there was still worry that passed through Nadia. Her children were getting older and surely they would begin to see the reality of the world around them; in time they would be thrown into the fire just as she and Magnus had been. It seemed that the universe was testing them lately but thankfully with Desdemona's return their internal circle seemed to be stronger then ever. But Nadia could feel a storm brewing on the horizon, especially after Ulla's loss of the Lagoon due to the members uprising. It caused Nadia to be restless, so even after her eyes closed she still felt wide awake. It was the gruff voice of @Magnus that awoke her from the very light sleep she had been in. Immediately her dark gaze moved to him as she rose silently from her resting place. "My love .. what is it?" Her voice was soft so as not to wake the sleeping children around them, though not even an earthquake could wake those little ones.

He would not be kept waiting long, though - alas - every second that passed would feel longer and heavier than the last. The titan would straighten up and take heed of his wife as she approached out of the shadows. His muzzle wrinkled, the tension evident in his expression. I have settled Ulla back into her old den. He paused. She is badly injured. Not on death's door, no, but injured enough for it to boil his blood. She would take such war wounds on the chin, as a good Sigrún did, but the injustice of it would not be tolerated. @Nadia surely knew this.

Nadia had been waiting for @Magnus, expecting his arrival really. Ulla had fought bravely for the Lagoon but the uprising had been unheard of; at least it was not something that Nadia was entirely familiar with. Back in the lands of her origin prides were never fought for from within, surely leadership came and went from individual to individual but the members never fought back. If anything this put the reality of the situation on Nadia's radar. She was acutely aware of what the lagoon lions were capable of, that they would quite nearly do anything to keep their home. It was the same fire that burned within her for the Hollows. Nadia would vow to herself that she would keep the Hollows at any cost if only to keep her family safe. "I have settled Ulla back into her old den. She is badly injured." He speaks and Nadia nods as she listens, a frown placing itself on her muzzle. "They will pay for the travesty they have caused. This is only the beginning Magnus.. they've drawn their line in the sand and we must follow it. We cannot trust any of them." She said, all the while being careful not to raise her voice. She rose then, motioning for Magnus to follow her as she moved from their den to leave their sleeping children behind. It was easier to walk through the dark caverns, finding a much more quiet secluded den only a few paces down from their usual den. It was here that Nadia would continue the conversation with her husband, at least then they would be able to talk freely without worrying about waking the children. "Ulla should see Elijah for her wounds to make sure they are taken care of accordingly.. but what is your plan? Surely you've got one.." She asks him then, her dark gaze landing on him as she takes a seat within the smaller den.

Uprisings were common enough within the family unit for Magnus to have not been caught off-guard as his wife had been. Still, while he had not expected Scilla to roll over and take their new leader at face value.... Perhaps, if the situation had been different, he might've had respect for Amara and her legion. To undermine Sigrún rule, though, would not be tolerated.

So as not to stew himself into a rage - especially in front of his slumbering brood - he would allow himself to be led away by his partner, her words ringing in his ears. It pleased him to hear that his Sovereign was of the same mindset; she may not have hailed from the homeland but she was iron born in spirit. Most apt for the mother of the next generation of Sigrún. Once secluded away in the neighbouring chamber, Magnus would turn and face @Nadia. Yes, we will get her tended to. His expression grew more serious, then. I will leave the Hollows tomorrow. I must leave it in capable hands... And that brought them... here.

"I will leave the Hollows tomorrow. I must leave it in capable hands...I must leave it with you, and Desdemona. You will have the support of the Sigrún, of course. I will take the Lagoon from them. They took it from Ulla - I will take it back, whether I manage it this time, or the next, or the next." Nadia did not expect anything less from her husband. She knew of his aspirations and yearnings of living near the ocean, Vellen's command could not be ignored for very long after all. There would be no better time then now to attempt and take the Lagoon for his own and Nadia had full faith in @Magnus being able to do just that. In the meantime she would keep the Hollows safe as it had served them and their family so well, to allow it to fall out of their grasp would be foolish. "Go then, take from them as they have taken from Ulla. Show them that the Sigrun will never stop until we get what is meant for us." She said then, voice purring seductively in his ear as she moves closer to him. "I will keep the Hollows for you, for us. And when you win we will hold both territories for all Sigrun to come and go as they please." The thought was a marvelous one, one that would be spoken into existence she was certain.

@Nadia understood - she understood it all. She would take it in her stride, majestic and regal, and take this as just another duty that was expected of her. She was the Jarl's wife, after all; with that came its own set of obligations. Tilting his head upward, he would regard the Queen with his functional eye, lip curling upward in satisfaction as she slunk closer. Good. Good. He leant into the warmth of her breath, abdomen stirring. You are a very smart woman, you know that? He hummed, lowering his skull and attempting to nip at her ear. Scheming was certainly one way to get his gears going....

It was quite easy for Nadia to feel attracted to @Magnus, even after all the time they spent apart on a daily basis it was natural for them to come back to one another just as fired up as before. "Good. You are a very smart woman, you know that?" He hummed in her ear and Nadia couldn't help the satisfactory purr that rumbled in her ear as she relished in his love bites. How long had it been since they had had a true moment to themselves? He had been busy with Desdemona and she with their children, meanwhile they were also a King and Queen outside of those separate activities. Nadia couldn't honestly remember the last time she had had him all to herself and she certainly wasn't complaining now. "Perhaps we could talk battle strategy later on.. after I devour you first." She crooned then, a dark glimmer in her eye as she reaches upward to return the favor, nibbling along his neck to further stir his wantings.

He'd had a feeling - a hope - that he knew where this was going. @Nadia was giving him all the signals; it implied, certainly, that she wished to help him decompress before the challenge ahead. Just remember, Magnus rumbled, low and riding on an exhale of hot breath on the back of his Queen's neck, to leave me with some of my strength. Grin turned wicked, then, and - eager to make the most of the privacy, and the opportunity to forget about the pressures that loomed for even just a few minutes seconds more like, who was he kidding? - swiftly, he would bring their bodies together.

"Just remember to leave me some of my strength." Nadia could not help the mischievous sultry grin that flickered across her face at his words. She was eager to lean into him, slowly reaching upward to whisper into his ear, "No promises." Before she continued to nibble along his jawline to move further down his neck. It had been ages since they had had a moment like this together and she would take advantage of every single minute of it. Her body would melt naturally against his own, allowing her husband to take the lead in their endeavors for now before she planned to take him into oblivion along with her.
