Ah, but he was daydreaming. A sudden shift of the branches above betrays a glitter beneath the surface and he strikes. Water bursts up into his chest and mane as he lunges with bared teeth. His fangs snap closed on a hard surface, and Roseate recoils spluttering. “What the?” he coughs, and peers a little more closely. There was still something shimmering. But… it wasn’t a fish?

Spring
The rain is slowly peetering out across the lands, though it is still heaviest in the east and lightest in the west. Thankfully, however, the temperature is steadly rising and the sun no longer hides behind the clouds. In celebration of the new season, the vegetation is alive and lush and plants are growing wildly across the valley. Spring is in the air!

Ros didn’t often get hungry enough to fish. Usually he did fine with scavenging. But with winter making prey sparse, there were far less pickings than usual. He peers over the gently-flowing water with a paw slightly lifted. He was watching for the silver glimmers below the murky water’s surface. Such flecks of light would betray the positions of the river-dwelling morsels. The only downside to having such shiny scales. Roseate wished he had scales - surely they were easier to maintain than fur… and he was certain he’d look stunning in the glittery shimmer.

(Pathfinder: +10 Explore a territory and find something useful in it, +10 Discuss the features of a territory with someone, +5 Correctly track something through a territory)
(Petals: Explore a new territory, Complete a trade-related thread)
It wasn't long after she left the grotto, that she stumbled on some tracks that looked interesting. Much bigger than hers, clearly a feline... but on the small side. That SHOULD have been a clue, but she didn't put two and two together. Instead, she decided to play the part of a mighty hunter, following the tracks carefully, trying not to make a sound. Where she would usually jump obstacles, she chose to silently slide under them, or go around. Obviously, she had no delusions of taking down her prey, but it was fun to pretend for the moment.
After some time, the sound of rushing water tickled her ears and she grew excited. Her prey would surely stop for a drink! Crouching down to conceal herself, she followed the trail around a large tree, peeking out to see who she had stumbled on this time. The peach form she saw standing by the water's edge, soaking wet, caused her to leave her stealthy position, a sigh on her lips. "You again? What are you doing playing in the water? It is too cold for that nonsense."
