Summer
With the last of the rainfall seeming to have swept across the peninsula, summer days await! The days are warm, though comfortable, and peeter off into more mild evenings while the humidity remains low. It is the perfect inbetween until things transition towards more sweltering temperatures, so best enjoy it while it is here.

Armando
With the order and the council no where to be found in this new land Armando felt it was important to figure out if the legion was here or not. Perhaps he had just arrived before everyone and if that was the case surely it was only just a matter of time before the legion found the peace of Amaryllis and wrecked it. No matter where they went dead had always followed. Yet it never happened on its own. The order and the legion had always been age old enemies fighting each other. The shield never took into account that maybe it was the order who had been the problem. No matter for he was now alone and as he wandered the mountain found the peaceful afternoon rather enjoyable. Settling down in a sunny spot he gazed at the land below in awe.

ooc: cal was recently accepted into andal, pending her first thread lol
there was a lot to be said about freedom. sure, Calpurnia had stumbled into a pride, but she was a woman with her own free will at the tips of her paws, and a pride to help her protect that exquisite privilege. so it was with little worry that Calpurnia wandered away from the deserts of her new home, delving into the more grassy and rocky terrain to the central lands.
there had been few places that varied in biome as much as this land. Calpurnia had experienced many new things in her recent travels away from home, but nothing so novel as this. A mountain in the middle of nowhere? Strange. Interesting.
The ochre woman clambered the mountainside clumsily at first, finding it difficult to balance on such drastically sloped earth. Soon enough however, she got the gist of it. She was leaping from one foothold to another, fancying herself quite the mountain goat until there was finally little else to scale. Panting and rather proud of herself, the lioness searched for a nice, shady place to admire the land below.
As she was peering around however, the sight of a stranger caught pale rose eyes. Tilting her skull curiously, Cal would pad toward him with a friendly chuff hanging in the otherwise silent air.
“hello, care for some company?” the woman called, keeping her distance until it was determined whether he was benevolent or not.

Armando
Looking upon the landscape below the older lion turned his whole head to gather all its beautiful sights. Being half blind had its drawbacks, it hey he got a neat scar to show off. Not that the battlefield was neat or pretty. Ears swivel on his skull and soon enough the sounds of someone panting before a female’s voice danced to his ears. Turning his whole head against so that his blue gaze was upon her he gave a smile. "Hello m’lady." He gave a respectful dip of his head before fully answering her. "Not at all please be my guess." A kind voice left his lips as he studied her. She was a pretty looking young thing.
"Allow me to properly introduce myself." He chuffed as he slowly stood up to give her a bow. "I am Sir Armando Perceval the fourth. The Shield upon the Council of Eight for the Order of the Ancestors." Oh how mad he must sound rambling about the council and the order in a land that knows nothing about either. "But you may call me Ando. Or Grandpaw if you so wish." He added the last bit with a kind chuckle and a soft wink. Though he didn’t expect her to refer to him as Grandpaw. Yet if she wanted to he wouldn’t mind. He did allow all the strays he trained in the order call him as such.
Done with his ramble he settled himself and sat back down.
