The shoreline was a dangerous place to be of late, it would seem. That is if Oberon's tale was anything to go by. Not that he disbelieved the brunet, necessarily, but it behoved him to investigate further with the Khulani. According to the Lagoon monarch she was well aware of the situation brewing, so why wouldn't he go and visit? It was time to find out what she thought, and what defensive measures she had in place to protect her kin. And, given their alliance, what he could do to help.

He was unaware that @Jewel had been the assailant's first (known) victim.

She heard the call and struggled to get to her feet. Laying around made her joints stiff and sore. But, so did the pneumonia and fever. Hard telling which the real reason was. She made her way slowly down the sands of the Cove, giving @Magnus a chuffed to let him know she was on her way.

Though, her arrival was much slower than it normally was. The ebony queen made her way to where she saw his form standing beyond their borders and approached with a slow, limping gait. Jewel regarded the Male with a single remaining cerulean optic, the right one still recovering from her attacks but still obviously missing. Still, she managed to walk in a relatively straight and not so drunken line. Though, there was a stumble as she missed a rock and had to catch herself.

"Magnus... to what do we owe the pleasure?" She wondered if it was in regards to the attacks in the area. Once she had gotten back to Caladan, she had asked the pride to let their allies know of these issues.. and wondered if it was to this warning he was responding.

Well, he hadn't expected that.

His jaw slacked a little as he watched the Queen in her approach; no longer the refined wraith, instead a shadow of the woman she once was. Immediately he would think back to Oberon and his mention that the Caladan monarch had been aware of the attacks. While he had not yet received confirmation, it was unlikely that any other incident would have caused such damage. The bard had not lied, but had instead been vague. Most likely deliberately so. For a Queen to be assaulted so violently.... Things were not as peaceful in Amaryllis at it first appeared. Jewel, he greeted briskly, brow furrowed as he openly studied her face and the wounds that accompanied it. Oberon came to give me news of the attacks; I did not know that you were involved.

An amused twitch to her lips was given as @Magnus spoke of Oberon bringing him news of the attacks. She had been briefed upon her return of the other injuries and assaults that had happened near the shores of Stygian. Truthfully, she was surprised she hadn't been caught in that mess as she was working her way home. The ebon queen would tilt her skull towards him with a careful shrug of her shoulder. "I'm not...entirely sure that my attack was related." She spoke softly - and though there was a wheezing to her words, the worst of the rasping rattles were reserved for when she was laying down.. or spoke a little too quickly for her laboring lungs to keep up with.

"We are still trying to piece things together." Jewel was pleased though, that Magnus was aware of things - she hoped that it would help keep the Hollows lions out of the fray that was obviously coming. "Has your pride been assaulted in any way?" Or were the assailants of the shore simply sticking to the shores? If not - then perhaps her attack WAS involved with that group. She wasn't so sure.. considering she had been near the Mire when it had happened.

She does not think that her own attack is linked to those that the Lagoon's leader had reported. Magnus would arch a brow, but ultimately say nothing. Perhaps she was in denial, or perhaps she knew something he did not that would validate her assertion. No, he would shake his head, pleased that the Hollows had thus far remained unscathed. But how long that would continue for remained to be seen. But we will make sure we are ready. Magnus tilted his head as he studied @Jewel. Is there anything we can do to help the Cove?

He spoke, and she gave a bemused chuckle. "I had hoped when I returned that my pride would listen when I asked that they inform our allies.." Obviously - with @Magnus's initial surprise, they had not. "My attack happened while I was near the Mire - up in the cliffs of the swampland. I drifted for a few days until I was able to return home. The attacks on Caladan and Scilla seem to be centered in the area of Stygian and the areas surrounding. Thus far.. mine is the one that is the farthest away."

She would shift, feeling the scabs of her wounds tightening across her hips and back, and shifting alleviated those pains. "I believe..we have it well in hand for the moment. So far I'm the only one that has been injured to this extent..." Her frown deepened as she shifted her gaze beyond the Hollows king. "A...few cubs have gone missing...however." and that in and of itself was entirely too worrisome. Because she wasn't healthy enough to leave and try to look for them.
