June Y13
Summer
With the last of the rainfall seeming to have swept across the peninsula, summer days await! The days are warm, though comfortable, and peeter off into more mild evenings while the humidity remains low. It is the perfect inbetween until things transition towards more sweltering temperatures, so best enjoy it while it is here.

The rose woman felt her cheeks heat up once again at the woman's touch, her gentle paw against the black foot of her own making her feel unnecessarily shy. Her mismatched eyes traveled from where their feet met back to the single brown orb of Iah, the look she was given made Arachnae lift a bit of an eyebrow. "I'm Arachnae." She chuckled, "Perhaps you forgot. That's ok, I have a friend who forgot who Rawkshi was completely, and so he scared the daylights out of her." A sly smile rose of her dark chinned muzzle, "Forgetting a name after just meeting someone isn't unusual. I'll just have to make sure to be memorable from now on." She winked.

Ohhhh drat I did it again. The disappointment in her face looked to be of a tired sort. Her eye and brows were apologetic, wide and turned down while she sighed softly and blew warm breath out against her cheeks to puff them up. It would seem this was not something too unusual for the white woman. She didn't mean to forget things so quickly sometimes but other things came so quickly into her brain that names often times tumbled out before she could really remember them. Arachnae. Rawkshi. She nodded to herself once, firmly, dedicating herself to memorizing them. It would help if @Arachnae didn't keep flirting and cause her to blush and get all flustered... That wink made her heart stutter and she blushed. She winked back but then lifted a paw to tap at/scratch behind her ear a little. I'll remember that meaning the wink.

Arachnae purred, tail flicking- or rather, what she had of one. The disappointed look on her face making the rose woman feel a bit guilty, so she reached up a dark paw to gently touch the pale woman's cheek, should she be allowed to. She liked Iah. She was sweet, cute, and kinda funny. Perhaps a bit silly, but she liked that. The wink back made her heart beat oddly, like a butterfly trapped within it. Her smile was crooked, she felt warm, and laughed nervously at the pale goddesses motion. She was sure that it meant something about remembering, but she wasn't sure if it was her name or the wink. It didn't matter though, not really anyhow. "Uh, so, Iah. Do you live nearby? Maybe I could walk you home? Or just.... Walk you home anyways. I don't have anywhere I specifically call home, so I don't mind travel."

Nearby? Her features tuned to the question and her focus fixated on that word. She quickly gave her head a shake no. Her northern oasis, the chill that bit at her skin and loving aurora overhead, was no exactly close. But if @Arachnae was willing to walk and spend the journey with her Iah then Songbird would welcome the company and one sided conversation. She glided her head to align her muzzle in the northern direction and she gave it a little jut that way. She took a few steps northward, turning her head and face back to Arachnae and her snake companion. Come along on a journey?

Arachnae looked in the direction of the nod, her motion showing the cold north where Rawkshi couldn't go. That's where Astrid lived. She promised to visit as well.... She did want to see her friend again. Perhaps after taking the moon goddess home, she could try and find the warrior woman?
Her two toned gaze turned back to the single brown one of her company, "Alright, looks like it's time for a long walk. I'll have to leave Rawkshi somewhere though, but I know somewhere good." A dead beechwood tree, hallowed around the roots by a long gone creature. And so, they would be on their way, headed towards the biting chill of the north.
-- Exit?

It was sad Rawkshi could not join them safely. Reptiles were not frequent companions to the northern landscape. Songbird bid the serpent a goodbye with a little dip of her head. Iah wouldn't keep Rawkshi's lioness friend away long, knowing @Arachnae had someone to get back to. But now, her heart happily danced and she began to lead the way down a path to the Freeze's landscape and her home. The literal glow had faded from her cheeks but the glow of happiness had come to take its place as the moon goddess took off.
