( Takes place before the Noble challenge. )

Walking with @Oberon back to Wolfbron Bluffs to speak with @Zoticus about important matters the orange faced lioness had butterflies in her stomach. Just getting to spend time with the lagoon king was wonderful, but having hunted with him had made her so happy. Their efforts hadn’t been for not either as a goat was brought back with them to the borders of the red rock pride lands. Now she knew that this wasn’t completely a social call and the reason behind Oberon coming to speak with Zoticus wasn’t really about her, but him escorting her home made her feel loved. As well as worth something. Just knowing he cared enough to not let her walk home when there is some mad man out there attacking lionesses made the clay lady feel cared for.

As they arrived she looked at him doe eyed before she crossed over but stopped. “Well this is it.” She purred before nuzzling his neck and pulling away to let out a roar calling for the Bluffs King without making Obe go deaf. She was a cheeky girl but didn’t want to have to start yelling at her boyfriend just so he could hear her because she roared to close to his head. Moving back closer to him she took a seat at his side. “I am sure he won’t be long.” Her voice was calm as she spoke politely a smile on her face.

he wasn't as nervous as he thought he'd be. his meeting with Magnus previously had gone fine in his humble opinion. Zoticus was just another king, another potential alliance. he hoped that he could make the king see danger and caution regarding the attacks, especially if their Lead Fighter may be involved. he would walk close to @Arjana until she broke away, giving his neck a brief affectionate nuzzle before calling. he was thankful she chose to roar away from him.

"don't worry" he sighs dramatically "I can just bask in your company until the king arrives." which he wasn't complaining about at all. shooting a few glances to Arjana out of the corner of his eye, he saw her renewed spirit. hunting brought out the best in her, it seemed. she looked more radiant than ever, which was saying something. he did like his redheads. they were feisty and flirty. just his type. then again, most anything was his type except for assholes. the woman sat by him again, not over the border.

he turns to give her cheek a quick lick before focusing on the incoming king.

Zoticus

...He Will Be King...

Arjana's call reached the King's ears during one of his border patrols, unfortunately though he had been on the opposite side of the terrain. Regardless, Zoticus left from the borders and made way towards the call of his trusted member, curious to what she was needing him for.

As he neared closer, the scent of another came forth- the smell oddly familiar, reminding him faintly of Vesper; which brought a furrow to his brows. Perhaps it was someone from Vesper's old pride? Or someone who now lived on those old lands?

Keeping his stance calm, Zoticus appeared with a neutral expression, acidic eyes taking in Arjana's frame, before looking to the brute that accompanied her. His scent was not of a rogue, that was clear, and so Zoticus tilted his head silently in thought. "A friend of yours, Arjana?" He spoke, clearly getting to the point; a habit of the Wolfbron King, but the curiosity was there.

Smiling warmly at @Oberon and just being around him she scooted it a little bit closer to gently lick his cheek. Sitting with him at the border she purred softly before putting her chest dramatically at his words. “Shine shine dazzle dazzle.” She teased giving a cheeky grin to his words about basking in her company as they waited. Giving a chuckle as looked at Obe than to the goat and back to Oberon. Why was she so nervous about bringing her back here to meet with @Zoticus? Well he was her leader and a lion she very much looked up to. A friend and she really hoped both lions got a long. If not she’d have to take the goat and smack the. Both with it.

Grey eyes scanned the landscape once more and she stood up as the pink male arrived. Smiling at him she dipped her head politely as he spoke. “You could say that. He is someone I care a great deal about.” Pausing she looked at Oberon with a gentle loving look before returning her gaze to her king. “This is Oberon my boyfriend. Oberon this is Zoticus.” With that she moved out of the way so he could get a better look at him. Or rather so they could get a better look at each other. “Obby was kind enough to escort me home.” Looking at Oberon she watched to it he had a reaction to her little nickname. Not the most creative but hey it was something.

they waited a bit longer than expected, but Oberon didn't mind. at the arrival of Zoticus, he waits for Arjana to introduce him. a grin was given to the clay hued woman before his features grew more respectful as he stared at the king. "King Oberon" he introduces himself more formally with a nod "of Scilla Lagoon" the woman mentions him escorting her, and he bites back a sigh "unfortunately, I came for two reason." one, escorting Arjana safely home and meeting Zoticus. and the other...

he lets that sink into the Bluff King before adding onto it. "there have been attacks on women" Titania. Jewel. Fionnuala. all important in his eyes "we don't know if its one lion doing it or what, but I thought you should know" Arjana looked at Zoticus with respect, so he had no doubt the other king treated his female members with it too "all the victims barely escaped with their lives..." this time he sighed, lowering his head in a show of respect for them.

Zoticus

...He Will Be King...

Zoticus was interested, even more so when Arjana spoke of this brute being someone she cared a lot about. His head tilted, listening on, only to have his brows raise when she officially claimed the lion as her boyfriend. "Oh?" He found himself remarking, eyes leaving Arjana and focusing rather intently on the brute now.

Ever since meeting Arjana at the passage, and recruiting her to his pride, Zoticus had been rather protective of her. He was like that with all of his pride - but Arjana and Circe were no doubt at the top of his list of women he trusted and respected, just as Zola had been when she was around as well. To hear Arjana had found a partner, well, had Zoticus judging the lion before him now- similar to how a father figure would.

Oberon spoke then, and Zoticus was surprised - pleasantly so - to hear he was a King, and of Scilla Lagoon; the pride in which Vesper had come from. It was rather good that this 'Gwyn' didn't still have it then. "Ah, so you're the one that holds the crown there now. A few old members have sought refugee here from the prior King, Gwyn, who seemed to enjoy holding them captive." After all, Vesper seemed rather grateful to be free from captivity, and Zoticus was glad he could be the one to offer her a place to live and grow to her true potential.

However, hearing there were recent attacks on women caused his brow to furrow. "No, I was not aware of this." He hadn't heard anything about attacks, but if there was a threat going around it was something that needed to be brought to his attention. "Thank you for escorting her back here, then." He found a good amount of respect forming for Oberon - going out of his way to see Arjana safely back with danger looming over the lands. While Arjana was a capable woman, no one could be too safe.

Stepping aside, Zoticus motioned with his head for Arjana and Oberon to come within the lands. "Come on, the borders is no place to talk. I've got a few spare hares and some comfy pelts we can all lounge on." He spoke, inviting the two of them to spend some more time with him. Mainly because Zoticus wanted to get to know Oberon better, perhaps learn more of these attacks, and discuss alliances, something he was sure Arjana would appreciate being around for.

"yes, I heard about Gwyn" Oberon scowls faintly, his brow furrowing "not a fan, most are. haven't the pleasure of meeting him. or displeasure, I guess" unaware that Zoticus was staring at him with silent fatherly judgment, he goes on as the talk takes the darker turn. the Bluff king thanks him but he does not need it. he would do it for any woman, even if they were not with him. but Arjana... was special. "she's important to me" he raises his chin "I wouldn't want her to be attacked when I could do something about it."

to his surprise, Zoticus invites them further in. Arjana was a member of the pride so she could come and go freely, but Oberon felt a bit awkward roaming on the land without permission. well, he would have. but the invite was clear. "thank you" he says to the man, passing the scent line and coming to stand beside the king "seems like your pride hasn't been hit. I'm happy about it" he sighs with relief "happier I could warn you guys so you can be prepared." he made plans to find out who caused this mess. they would not want to be them.

"to my knowledge, only women are the victims" as he follows @Zoticus back further "my pride has been hit twice" he scowls at himself, feeling helpless and useless "I'm seeking allies and friends to help deal with this. before a woman has something worse done to her." death, sexual assault... the likes. all terrible. all things worthy of him kicking someone's ass.

Sitting there listening she thought about walking away so that they could talk in private, but where was the fun in that? Besides she wanted to be near @Oberon. Both lion were handsome to the clay lady one with his lush red mane and pale pink skin, the other with his yellow and green eyes. Both were familiar to her and both felt like family to her. Though @Zoticus felt more like an older big brother that she adored or a dad. He did give off dad vibes. Well better than her dad vibes so - stepdad vibes?

In any case as she listened she would frown and look down flustered with hearing about the attacks in more detail. A soft and low growl rumbling from her throat as she thought about it only for her to clear her throat a moment later. Following both lions she was quiet as she thought. There was much to think about and mostly she just listened. Soaked up as much information she could.
