The Brook heiress had been waiting for this moment for years but only in the last few months had it truly been an aspiration in reach. There was likely a high chance she could have gone to Maua and requested children by means of being a single mother but she wanted the whole picture. She wanted the significant other to help her care for her young and watch them grow. Talisa wanted to be the Mama more than anything in life and every day was the best blessing in the world. After all, she got to wake up to not only @Morrigan's sweet face but she got to snuggle with each one of her toddling little cubs.

All three of them just so unique and precious to the new mother, constantly doting upon each one of them and not knowing when to stop. Talisa happened to be very hands on and wanted to be present in every second of their lives. Mummy, as Morrigan had said she wished to be called, was still staying within the confines of the Brook though occasionally took the trip to the Hollow (I think) to check in. Usually when one of her sisters came by and wanted to stick around for a small babysitting session. Normal couples maybe wanted to have some quiet time away but Talisa was absolutely smitten by her little lovebugs and couldn't part with them.

So she snuggled her muzzle close to their bodies; @Khal, @Cassandra and @Ori. Desperate to give them all the attention that they could ever dream of and to let their imagination soar. Love was the main ingredient in this family and she wasn't about to shy from it.

Cassandra Valour

The little cub squirmed against her mother's belly. She'd grown a little bit since the day of her birth, but it was obvious that her brothers would both outmatch her in size as they grew older. The trio might have only been a month old, but they seemed to be growing quickly as they suckled milk from their mother. The darkest of the newest Valours to be born was also the sole female of the litter, but she definitely had that fighting spirit despite being born last.

As her mother leaned down and snuggled her muzzle close to them, Cassandra let out a soft squeak of protest as the movement disturbed her peaceful sleep. A grunt escaped the little girl as she kept her eyes firmly closed - wanting to go back to sleep. Pale-toed paws stretched out to push against her mama's belly, searching for a teat to suckle from as she tried to go back to sleep. All she wanted to do right now was sleep. She wasn't exactly keen on being disturbed from her name - even by her mama.

Another soft grunt escaped Cassandra as she finishing drinking her fill of her mama's milk. Shifting from her position on her belly, the little Valour cub rolled onto her back. The wisp mark that marked her as a cub blessed by Maua was clearly visible as she rolled over onto her back. It was right at the top of her left hind leg, trailing slightly over to her other side at the very tippy top of her rear. She had never known anything but love and comfort from the mama that nursed her, and then the other lioness she'd heard referred to as "Mummy" when hushed conversations had been held around the cubs.

As the little girl started to drift back into sleep, a soft snore was heard as she slipped back into sleep. Her striped legs were held close to her chest, with one moving shortly after to rest over her eyes. She was quite fluffy, even from a young age, and would likely just be a bundle of fluff until she grew into her paws and ears.

Amidst the soft purrs and rustlings of the small family was the soft, faint rattling that was the breathing of baby Ori. Kept warm was the best thing that could be done for the babe at this time to care for his respiratory issue, and so he was. Nestled deeply between his siblings and his mother, the grey babe was nice and warm. Even for one so new and young, he knew something was amiss, and shifted uncomfortably on occasion with a soft, raspy mewl. Breaths were somewhat shallow, abnormally so for a cub. Even though the babe was stricken with pneumonia, his belly was round and full, his eyes bright and determined.


Restless, the small boy struggled upright, blinking with enormous, round eyes up at his mother. A smile lit up his features. It was mama. She was perfect. The tiniest cough escaped him, followed by a sneeze, which caused him to plop down to sit again.

The biggest of the trio lay on his back with dark crowned head resting against his Mama's thigh, his own coat nearly blending right into her own. He was milk-drunk and sleepy with his big, fluff-covered belly poking up comically. His chubby little self did okay to keep his own skin warm, but he never minded being a pillow either. Ori's teeny sneeze caused the dark boy to jerk awake from his stupor, rolling over to toddle to his feet with a yawn before moving to plop down again closer to Ori, closing the bit of gap there had been. He wasn't interested in ending his nap yet, but he liked to make sure @Ori was warm, too. @Talisa was soft and warm and safe and Mummy wasn't here yet, so he didn't have much reason to stay awake unless Ori or @Cassandra felt like playing.

The dark warrior slipped confidently now across Vermeda's lands, having grown accustomed enough to know she wouldn't get lost at least and trusting no one would mistake her for a trespasser now. Every day it was easier to believe @Talisa's kin would accept her, or at the very least her children. They were a miracle, after all. Gifted to the pair by Maua themself. Morrigan couldn't wait for the day that the cubs could meet the divine being for themselves. She slipped into Talisa's den and moved to her beautiful bride's side quietly, not wishing to disturb the children until she'd had a chance to greet their Mama.

She pressed a soft kiss to the Valour's face if she was allowed before poking back out of the den to retrieve the rabbit she'd managed to catch on the way here for a snack. Whatever was left could be stripped into toys for the children.

"For you, my love," she placed it next to Talisa for whenever she wanted it before her mismatched gaze fell on the little beings kitted together from the pair so perfectly. She'd heard @Ori's little fit just before she'd come in and the dark warrior bent to place a gentle kiss atop his silver head, though worry was evident in her gaze. He was strong, though, and she had faith he would be just fine so long as she didn't linger too long on it. She did the same to @Khal and @Cassandra's sleeping figures before settling down next to Talisa. It was too easy to marvel at them.

Every single day now was like she was living a brand new best day. When @Morrigan had entered her life she'd been ecstatic and every day was even more lovely than the last. Moments that she never believed could get any better until she had the kids. Each of them so different yet so alike, roly poly little angels that Maua had blessed them with. Giving each of them a small token of her love by means of that extra little spark.

Her small little brown @Cassandra with markings just like hers rolling over onto her back after sustaining her milk sustenance, before eyes then cast to @Ori as her face was stricken with love and worry. Concern etched upon her face for an illness that she hadn't seen coming, it was with this that she mentioned to all that came to the den that Ori needed to have as much warmth on her as possible. Talisa could hear the difficulty breathing and made mentions to massage her nose every now and then to remove what was blocking the airways. To massage the tiny chest with a paw to ease the lungs. Bless you, sweet cherub. She cooed, rubbing her nose upon each of their bellys.

Eventually she found @Khal, who had no doubt awoken to his siblings sneeze and made his way over to him. Talisa doubted that he could hear, much less understand, what she told the others to do and yet here he was coming to Ori's aid and sleeping tightly next to him. It made the heiress' heart flutter aggressively in her chest as she struggled to keep tears well within their confined space. Easily distracted by her love's descension into the den as she settled nearby with a treat for her. Hungry was an understatement but she was in no position to move away from her children; they were each so darling in their cozy slumbers that she couldn't bear to go anywhere beside where she already was. We are oh so blessed, my love. Each of them are so perfect. Mama and Mummy were the proudest mothers and they would no doubt be cherishing every second they could with each of them. Only giving up their eyes on them when it was absolutely necessary and unavoidable.

Cassandra Valour

Bi-colored eyes opened narrowly as one of her brother's sneezed and coughed. How dare he interrupt her naptime? Rolling back over onto her belly just as Mummy gave a gentle kiss on her head. A contented rumble escaped the little girl as she looked towards her brothers. A huff escaped her as she half-heartedly got up and went to flop next to her brother who sneezed. Her small tongue stuck out of her mouth, showing her slight annoyance at being woken up from her nap by his sneeze and cough.

Eventually she would grow to be more understanding of her brother's sickness - but for now she was just a cub who was annoyed by her brother waking her from a nap. Her eyes had closed when she'd flopped down next to Ori, but upon hearing Mama's voice, they opened once more. Eyes of two different shades of purple peered up at Mama and Mummy - one that matched each of them. The dribbles of white on her nose were purely that of her Mama, but the chevrons on her neck were that of her Mummy. Her tongue was still sticking out as she stated up at her moms, curious as to what they were saying... She could vaguely understand it - but it didn't make sense.

No sooner had the babe recovered from his sneeze did he feel the warm, velvety bodies of his siblings press up alongside him, one after the other. His brother was quite large and made for a great snuggle buddy, and a raspy purr revved up in the babe's chest. He felt a warm touch on his head, a kiss, and started kneading, blinking wide, purple eyes up at the fuzzy black figure above him. His sister tumbled alongside him as well, her tongue sticking out at him. Ori chanced an attempt to bat it, reaching out a slow vanilla paw to dab at her face, chortling baby laughter bubbling from his lips.

Khal’s small head lifted to the sound of his Mummy joining them but it was really only moments after he had settled down next to @Ori that he began to slip back into a deep and comfortable slumber. His dreams didn’t really have much sense to them, just flashes of things he’d seen in his short life. The pine trees in the Brook, to the more distant sounds beyond that he had no name for. Or the faces of @Talisa and Morrigan, @Cassandra and Ori. And all his family he had met. Peaceful dreams, undisturbed by the chaos outside. He didn’t yet have to share the worries his parents shared.

"If only they could stay so little forever," she murmured as she settled back down next to @Talisa after greeting the children. Though, truthfully, she wished for any time where she did not have to fear for @Ori's safety or any of her children's safety. Or Talisa's. Though she tried not to voice it, it worried Morrigan that if the Heiress were caught unawares by this unknown attacker, she wouldn't be able to defend herself. It was something that haunted her worst dreams. She hated that it even had to be a thought at all. Once upon a time she hadn't had to worry about such things. Not really, at least. Not to this extent. But Morrigan wouldn't have traded the blessings she had been given for anything. She'd take all of the bad with the good, as she had promised to do. @Khal went back to sleeping soundly and @Cassandra was happy it seemed, so Morrigan allowed herself to be comforted by their present state.
