she sought him out. Magnus had been through much in the seasons leading up to this. he had been injured, and while she mentally checked him over at the meeting - he still needed to be checked properly. they had little time to chat lately, if at all. the brief interactions left no imagination.

one could also say Sidonie had been through much as well.

she lumbers toward the king's den, chuffing quietly. not wishing to wake Nadia and the children if they were sleeping. Magnus' scent was all over, strong. of course. his children rested within. it had to be. the young woman lowers herself to the cold floor, her rear touching while her front legs remained upright.

the new Gentry would wait for him here.

@Sidonie thinking to be quiet was appreciated somewhere in the back of Magnus' sleep-fogged mind. He'd been awake for a little while, but the rest of the family still slumbered - children included. It was a blessing when they stayed still for once. Without hesitation the King would rise from his bed and make his way quietly towards the entrance, where the healer waited for him. Sidonie, he rumbled in greeting, wondering quietly why she had sought him out. Another health check, most likely; he had picked up a few more bangs and scrapes since she'd last laid eyes on him. He was a busy man.

"@Magnus" she greets when his dark form comes into view. she does not look past him into the den, keeping her eyes on him and him alone. Sidonie knows he is not one for small talk in any sense; if he wanted to 'gush' about his children, he would do so. there was no need to ask, for she smelt health upon the cubs anyway. "I came to see if you healed your elephant-related injuries effectively - and if you needed anything else."

straight and to the point. perhaps some lavender to calm him down enough to sleep with wiggly little cubs. she was already running through potential remedies for the new father. and since she was a Gentry now, she would open the floor if she actually did need to do anything while he spent time with his family. though not a Noble or Sovereign, Sidonie was an effective worker. she saw things through to the end. alas, she also had to tell him something. important somethings. for now, she'd just focus on him.

She would get straight to the point, which he appreciated; small talk was something he struggled to stomach it even in the smallest of doses with the most valued of company. The titan glanced down to where he'd been struck. It looked far better than it had - it would scar, that much was obvious, but not nearly as badly as it would have done had it not been tended to. Another gold star for @Sidonie. It is looking a lot better, and the pain is gone. And for that he was grateful, as he'd expressed at the time - it had been rather unpleasant. I need nothing else. A pause, albeit only momentary. Do you? Was there another reason she'd come to seek him out, or was it simply to check in on him?

she could see it was healed, and would add to his scarring. but it was not infected. it was not even ugly to look at any more. Sidonie is so focused on @Magnus that she gives a little start when he turned the question upon her. the young woman's brow furrowed lightly, wondering how to phrase this. the king was different than the emotional lead medic. he appreciated upfront answers and questions.

"I am pregnant" Sidonie says after a heart beat "by my lover, Walthari" she knew Talisa and Morrigan made it work, being in two different prides. she had been told that much... "he is of Vermeda Brook" another Hollow-Brook alliance, though subtle "by your leave, I would like Elijah to come with me to tell him. he is my friend, and it would be nice to have support during that... moment." she dips her head forward somewhat, wondering how this would go.

"I plan to raise these children in the Hollows, and with hope... I could convince Walthari to come here, to join me. if that is what you wish."

Well.

Of all the things he'd expected her to say, he hadn't expected that. He'd known nothing of her courtship with Walthari, though that wasn't a surprise; he wasn't part of the pride, after all. No doubt he would be after this news. Magnus accepted the revelation with a nod, blinking silently as she went on to ask more of him. Given her service to the Hollows, it was the least he could do. The King would oblige, easily. Of course, on both counts. He paused, tilting his head ever-so slightly as he regarded her. Congratulations. Lowering his rump to the ground, he wondered briefly how the medic would take his next question. Did you plan for children? A little probing, he supposed, but no matter.
