Deep within the confines of Amaryllis' cave system resides Obsidian Hollow, a place of secrets and meant only for those of iron-will. Decorated with lava tubes and midnight-colored stones, one wrong turn exploring the vast tunnels can leave one perched upon the pride's doorstep, cloaked in darkness and kisses with the company of cold, damp air. Though unknown for anyone outside of the pride, the hollows are also accessible through a hidden passage on the other side of the mountain, tucked on the edge of the Badlands.

News

Alexander - [ 04.17.24 ] - Alexander has once again returned to High Sovereign, with Reti taking on the role of his Heir. Teodora has also returned, prompting some tension, but ultimately the older lioness was given passage with the promise of tests for our Lead Fighter. As one of his first acts, Alexander has sought out the company of Isla, Scilla Lagoon's High Sovereign, in hopes of some reconciliation and an alliance.

Reti - [ 04.11.24 ] - Congratulations our new Lead Fighter Zsolt and Lead Healer Jun! It looks like Mosreal will be returning to the Hollows soon, and Teodora Savante has returned to the pride.

Reti - [ 04.03.24 ] - Congratulations to Angelo, Obsidian Hollow's new Heir! We have a couple visitors at the borders and it looks like the Hollow might have an infusion of new blood soon. Time for exits in Thalla's Lesson post, don't forget to post if you have an attendee!

Reti - [ 03.26.24 ] - Obsidian Hollow and the world in general welcomes in a new year! Members let us keep the pride strong and healthy in the new year!

Reti - [ 03.19.24 ] - Reti moves to fill the ranks of Lead fighter, Lead Healer, and Heir. Meanwhile Karsa takes up position as Noble and Neytiri is our Lead Advisor. Thella has also called a training event, if interested make sure to go check it out!


Reti - [ 03.08.24 ] - For the moment our home remains secure and peaceful. The ongoing pride hunt could use one or two more participants. A big thankyou to Cosmin for getting the hunt started and all those who have joined in so far.

Reti - [ 03.01.24 ] - Reti in in the prosses of filling certain vital ranks, look for a rank shuffle soon. If your character wants a empty rank feel free to have them approach Reti or challenge for it. Thankyou to all who hustled and got those last minute hunts in!

Reti - [ 02.22.24 ] - The meeting has concluded remember to have your characters exit. We have also lost a few members to inactivity, so if you have the rank to do so remember to recruit suitable members when you can. Lets work to make the pride strong!

Reti - [ 02.13.24 ] - A bit of trouble arrives at the Hollow as Thella returns injured! Various members are swift to respond in an effort to help the Lead Scout as well as try and determine what happened.

Reti - [ 02.06.24 ] - Following a disagreement with Dominic, Alexander briefly disappears and is found injured at the bottom of a drop off. With few good options Reti steps in to claim leadership before an outsider swoops in to take the Hollows. Members should watch for mandatory pride meeting to inform members of the change coming soon!

Alexander - [ 01.22.24 ] - Alexander has taken back the throne after a much needed break. With his rise back to power, however, comes tragedy. Aelynthi, his trusted Advisor, best friend, and the mother of the precious Anairë - has passed away. Please give the King time as he grieves, he will do his best to keep up with the day to day needs.

Valerian - [ 01.07.24 ] - Summer is back, and so is the action! Con gratulations to Alexander, Celestia and Angelo who are expecting more cubs, and also to Zsolt and Syanna who will be soon having their first litter. Csitri was successfully negotiated for release by Caladan and both the December hunts were successful - yay!

Valerian - [ 12.21.23 ] - With several Hollow members in tow, Valerian negotiates Csitri's freedom and potentially an alliance with both Caladan Cove and Andal Oasis - who our long-time Miroslav ally Scorpius has recent secured. In other news, Valens has returned to our borders and we have received several other new faces to them including Hrefna, Solri, and Abbadon. Reti has also attempted to challenge for Heir as has Syanna, but Valerian still believes there is more to prove for the pair by moving up through the ranks of the Hollow first.

Valerian - [ 12.10.23 ] - Reti has brought news of Csitri Savante being taken hostage by Caladan Cove after her husband Arkyn challenged for it. Sounds like it won't be a quiet month after all! Also, Scorpius and Leonie Miroslav have appeared on our borders seeking to reinstate the terms of the inter-family alliance. Finally, congratulations to Celestia for winning her challenge for Noble.

Valerian - [ 12.05.23 ] - Alexander has stepped down to focus on his newborns and family as a whole, allowing Valerian to step up as Obsidian Hollow's new High Sovereign. Be on the lookout for a pride meeting soon to catch everyone up to speed!

Juliette - [ 11.29.23 ] - While Juliette sidles up to test Vincien's mettle for the rank she left behind, Celestia steps up to try and fight for the other Noble position. Syanna answers her, also eager and vying for the rank! Two hunts have been called by both Royal Karsa and Sovereign Juliette!

Valerian - [ 11.16.23 ] - Though their origins may be of heartbreak and turmoil, welcome the new Royal cubs to the pride! In other news, Juliette has taken position as Sovereign of the Hollow, Constantine is now our Lead Hunter, and Reti has joined our ranks. Meanwhile, Vincien tests his mettle for the newly-opened Noble rank.

Valerian - [ 11.07.23 ] - A lot of drama is going on in the lands of Amaryllis. Members of the Hollow attend a Death Match between High Sovereign of our Allies, Illyria Summit and the High Sovereign of Andal Oasis and witness the duel. Tinuviel, carrying Alexander's cubs, calls for our assistance and Valerian makes the decision to shelter the newborns - though it seems their mother cannot come with them. In other news, please welcome Vriska to the pride. Vincien is also challenging for Noble!

Alexander - [ 10.24.23 ] - Alexander has finally made everyone within the Hollows aware of the tension between the Hollows and Wolfbron, he's also called those within the meeting to see who may step up to rule beside him. Karsa arrives with urgent news to tell Alexander about the happenings within the Mire.

Alexander - [ 10.11.23 ] - The King strikes a bargain of sorts with Fissure who has come to the borders to offer the services of his band. How that will pan out is unknown! But, the King may have more children on the horizon. Things are still tense between the Dieudonne and Savante, but at a standstill for now. Tinúviel newly dubbed wife and pregnant with Alexander's children has been taken captive by Andal Oasis, under the rule of Aeistrios and Renfri. Alexander has yet to find out, but the Savante will no doubt be furious when he does come by the information!

September 29th Within all the tension and worry over recent events, the Hollow are glad to welcome some new faces to the pride! Welcome little Anairë, as well as Vincien and Kraven to our ranks. More tension unfolds as Csitri and Arkyn’s new litter are not buried in the Savante tradition, and Constantine has issued a challenge for Lead Hunter.

September 18th Alexander's world sits on a pinnacle as he watches Anthonius battle Apollinaire to the death. Everyone waits for the outcome with baited breath, but the unexpected happens and Anthonius moves to escape. Successful in his attempts, the once Savante thwarts death for the time being. Alexander wonders if this will spell war for the Savante still - and who will stand by them during it.

September 6th The Wolfbron challenge ends with Amara victorious. Things become heated as Ismeria offers herself to be a sort of peace offering to the Dieudonne. Anthonius makes another bold move and threatens the life of Apollinaire and Louve's child, resulting in a the beast to initiate a deathmatch against him.

August 22nd The fight for the Bluffs continues on. Alexander has been attacked by the Firnen leader, Ryker - in revenge for Levana's attack. Teodora has taken it upon herself to try and handle things with the Dieudonne Matriarch and Dragos jumped bravely in front of Ismeria to prevent Apollinaire from getting his jaws on her. With so much chaos going on, will there ever be peace?

August 14th A lot has happened in a short time! Valens and Valerian are now officially Sovereign and Heir respectively. Additionally, a war is on the brink of breaking out between the Savante and Dieudonne. Anthonius has taken it upon himself to head this endeavor and has challenged for Wolfbron Bluffs!

August 1st The break is over, I hope you all have a nice time. Alexander will be making his way around as he works to catch up on things. In other news, Valens is now to be our new Sovereign, Juliette will be replacing him as Noble - and finally, Valerian will be accepting the role of Heir!

July 7th A lot has been going on! The challenge for Andal has turned into a war. Alexander has broken the law of his own family to attack the banished Levana in a blind rage. He snaps out of it just in time and chooses not to harm her further, as he's leaving he's attacked by one of Lorien's members, Rainhart. In other news, Alexander has called a meeting, please be sure to attend!

June 27th Andal Oasis has been challenged for! Alexander goes in support of his ally but must walk a careful line to respect the ceasefire in place with the Dieudonne. Teodora jumps in to help allies at Alexander's encouragement. It seems not all are pleased with this, but there was a standstill for a short time. Anthonius comes in and immediately attacks Apollinaire, however, breaking that fragile co-existence. What will this mean for the family, and the pride? Is war on the horizon?

June 13th Dragos has finally come to join, as well as Teodora. Juliette and Teodora fight to earn their ranks with Juliette obtaining the Gentry rank and Teodora claiming her rightful spot as Lead Fighter. The tournament for leadership begins soon so please be sure to post if you want a chance to lead ( please make sure you have the post requirements first )!

June 8th Alexander has been working hard to recruit to the pridelands. Hopefully with the ranks filling out he will begin to receive more help in stabilizing the pride. Others are already working hard to do just that! The King has also called a meeting for a tournament to determine a possible partner to help him lead, as well as an heir.

May 31st Camellia takes up the mantle of Lead Medic, Neculai has requested to be Lead Hunter after a rather successful hunt of an elephant. A newer member, Juliette, seems to have her eyes set on a Gentry rank as well!

May 21st Many new rogues have showed up to the pride borders seeking sanctuary within the Hollows, along with Alexander's sisters as well, and his niece - who he has to offer some bad news. More news to come soon!

May 14th Things have been a bit slow as of late, but Alexander and Anthonius both have been at the Passage actively attempting to bring in members. Newborn Savante grace the Hollows as well with the birth of Celestia, Angelo and Alexander's children!

May 8th More of Alexander's family arrives on the borders of the territory and he accepts them with arms wide open. Strangers join as well, and despite himself, the new Monarch offers them sanctuary. Will this come back to bite him? We'll see.

April 30th The Hollow is still building itself, but hopefully soon the Savante will flood the halls of the caverns and bring in more new blood. Alexander is busy attempting to recruit as well!

April 21st Alexander is victorious, but has perhaps made enemies with another rivaling, powerful family, the Dieudonne. Only time will tell how this rivalry develops. Will it continue to grow into violence, or will they find a common ground?

Reti calls for the Savante leadership with news from Caladan Cove. Arkyn has challenged for the pride and failed, and in retaliation Csitri Savante - daughter of Alexander - has been taken hostage. More trouble may be on the horizon for the Hollow, but Valerian plans to resolve this as peacefully as he can.

In a surprising turn of events, Alaric comes to face Alexander and to inform him of the things going on with their mutual wife. Tinúviel Fairchild, prisoner of Andal Oasis and carrying Alexander's cubs, gives birth in the badlands. She summons members of Obsidian Hollow seeking refuge for her newborns. Karsa, Lilliana and Valerian attend, unaware of what she is planning to ask of them, and initially unaware the cubs are of Savante blood.

Csitri and her partner Arkyn welcome four new cubs to the world within the Hollow's borders. The Savante intend to welcome the new cubs in their traditional ways only for it to come to head that Arkyn had not been informed about the ritual. Tension and raised voices ensue and Arkyn decides to refuse the tradition for their children. High tempers and disgruntlement follow with many of the religiously devout Savante put out by this decision.

King Alexander is on patrol when he comes across a lone lioness within the territory. Rather than approach with aggression, he offers solace instead, sensing that the woman is distressed and lost. Is this a fated meeting, and will she remain in the Hollows?

Alexander's daughter, Csitri arrives on the border, her stomach round with children. Her name 'mate' arrives with her and greets the King disrespectfully, giving the Savante Patriarch a bad taste in his mouth. Who is to say how their relationship will progress moving forward.

More Savante arrive within Amaryllis, following the scent of their kin. Alexander moves to greet his cousins, happy to see them alive. As Szamira's long lost sons, will the mute lioness finally break her vow of silence?

A male the King seems familiar with shows up on the boarder, his name is Fissure. It is uncertain what he visits for just yet, but the King and the others that have shown up ( he's attracted quite the crowd ) are all curious!

Anthonius challenges for Wolfbron Bluffs and fully shatters the ceasefire. Multiple fights break out as a result, amongst those are Teodora vs. Louve, Apollinaire vs. Dragos and Alexander vs. Ryker. We can only hope the Savante come out victorious.

Morrigan and Isla arrive on the Obsidian border calling Alexander. The King arrives, greeting the two like old friends. They begin discussing the terms of their alliance, which Morrigan and Alexander had spoken off a long time ago.

Alexander calls for Dragos in hopes that his son will come home. Surprisingly, the young Savante Heir shows up and the two begin to discuss important matters.

relishing standards Alexander's younger brother, Neculai, has gone off to host a hunt! Hopefully the pride will bring back a delicious meal for all to feast on!

The young daughter of Alexander comes to greet her father and join his ranks. Alexander quickly accepts her into the fold as royalty. Ember joins them and seems to be starstruck by the princess!

Knock, knock An old enemy comes knocking and puts the Savante men on edge. Alexander considers how to handle the situation while Valerian and Anthonius are none to happy with his ideas.

Spelunking Sisters Alexander's sisters and niece arrive on his doorstep, or rather - deep within the cave system of Obsidian, announcing their desire to join. Camellia proclaims herself Lead Medic!

GENESIS Alexander, Celestia and Angelo have their first children together, the first of the new generation to be born in the Savante family as well. We can only wonder what the future will hold for them!

tears vanish, triumph rises
Alexander's brother, Anthonius joins him on the borders to congratulate him on his victory. The two quickly catch up, bond and the Hollows King appoints his sibling as one of the Nobles of the pride.

A long lost younger brother of the new King arrives on his doorstep after following a familiar scent. Alexander greets him with open arms, happy to see his kin. Igor is appointed Gentry within the ranks and gently scolded to see their sister, Camellia, for healing.

what have i done
Ember, once known as Megaera, confesses that she has been lying to the Obsidian King. Revealing that she'd been hiding her true name, she unsure on if her life will fit in with a pride. The two continue to have an in-depth talk with Alexander offering to teach Ember how to speak his tongue in an effort to help her fit in.

the ghost in your doorway
An unfamiliar rogue, Sarine, arrives on the Hollows doorstep to seek an invitation into it's ranks. While Alexander does not know the woman, the King seems willing to give her the benefit of the doubt and allows her sanctuary and membership.

Another of Alexander's kin arrives on his doorstep, this time the presence of his daughter! How will this reunion go for the two?

billow and breeze —
A devoted and coveted wife of Alexander follows him home after the challenge to tend to his wounds. A bit reluctant, he allows her to heal him while gently coaxing her to join him within the Hollows.

Another challenge for Vermeda Brook stirs the lands and prompts tensions, drawing in curious souls and prompting another round of skirmishes to devolve on the side-lands.

Alexander returns to challenge for the Hollows, and history swirls around. Vermier is wounded from the war at the Summit and many of the combatants there are skulking elsewhere, tending their wounds, though of course a war breaks out anyway between budding rivals.

TIME TO DO SOME SKETCHY SHIT — Another dominance battle between High Sovereign Aquila of Andal Oasis and High Sovereign Sangria of Firnen Rainforest turns deadly. Sangria herself and Aquila's heir Valhalla perish in the ensuing chaos, leaving both the Oasis and the Rainforest in tatters. On top of that, tensions between Wolfbron and Ecrosia reach boiling point and war begins. As staunch allies of both sides, Magnus commands his forces to remain neutral and not intervene.

IT'S MY PARTY AND I'LL [REDACTED] — Obsidian has been invited to the birthday celebrations of the eldest of Ecrosia Mire's royal brood. Behind the scenes, two sets of scheming parents plot for a Hodari/Sigrún betrothal in the form of Lysander and Hrefna.
