going in the direction of the shore, she was surprised to learn Erevu's path led her so close to where she had been previously. Willoughby bounded over the sand and stopped near some clinging seaweed. she glanced back at her traveling companion, wondering if he knew any medical use for this stuff. taking care with the clove in her jaws still, she set it to the side and pawed at the weeds.

"does seaweed have any use?" she asks Erevu as he came closer. but before he could answer her, her eyes caught sight of a strange plant. it was prickly with thick 'petals' reaching the sky. "oh! I know what that is!" she bounces away to nose the spikey plant "aloe!" Willoughby bursts out, calling the medicine man over to her. cape aloe didn't look any different than regular aloe though.

it wasn't near the water, trapped between two large boulders. the orange spikey 'flower' swayed gently in the breeze, the petals of the aloe remaining rigid.

Willoughby was a bundle of energy, but it was a type of energy that seemed contagious as they traveled. Erevu found himself walking with a little more pep in his step, and maybe that was just because he was trying to keep up with her- but either way he didn't mind it.

Her question was a most welcomed one as they neared the shore, and Erevu nodded slowly. "It can be used to bandage a wound temporarily, and if ingested it actually holds a good source of vitamins to boost the immune system." He noted, recalling the information through his memory. He wasn't sure if she paid attention or not because he noticed right after she asked, her eyes had grasped onto something else completely.

"You've got a great eye... I need to keep you around more." He hummed happily as he neared the aloe trapped between two large boulders. He observed it, looking at the colors and structure, seeing that despite it's placement that it held up surprisingly well- which was beyond good. "Finders keepers... have a plan to get it yet, m'lady?" He mused, wondering if her brain was turning their gears yet- though he figured those gears never stopped with how she was always on the move.

Erevu knew so much, it was hard to keep up sometimes. she was already learning new things about her friend. he was serious, yes, but had the capacity to be fun and entertained. he told her immediately the use for seaweed, causing the woman to nod before she had darted away. the aloe was given all her attention. the medic mused about how to get it from the boulders. she glanced down at the wedge between them, her small paws could easily fit between them.

"if you hold the plant from the top, I can try to dig around underneath!" Willoughby burst out, though her silver eyes strayed to a very sharp looking sea shell in moments. "or I can hold it up while you cut it with that?" she adds, frowning. the woman sits back onto her haunches, wondering the best way to get the aloe from the rocky ground. she didn't know - she was no medic, but it didn't mean she wasn't willing to help him out.

While he let Willoughby ponder over how to remove it, Erevu's teal eyes stayed focused on the flora itself. The shore wasn't truly known for herbs- at least not commonly. But with him having been raised by the water, he usually knew what and where to find certain things. The aloe itself was in a natural habitat, and he wasn't blind to see the seaweed by the shore of the waters... perhaps after getting this aloe they could make way over there. He watched it, studying the way it moved under the waters before he looked back to the aloe and did the same, all until her voice reached his ears again.

"Lets try digging first, if that doesn't work then we can use that." He voiced, going along with her plan. He moved and positioned himself carefully, hefty body a little hard to balance at such an odd angle... but as he lowered his head on top of where the aloe peaked out, he waited for her to get in position before he gently wrapped his maw around the bits he could get a hold of. The last thing he wanted to do was damage any of this nice find.

she grunts softly, giving another nod of her head as she moves closer. Erevu takes the stock in his mouth, while Willoughby tries to fit her paws underneath the prickly 'petals'. there is some mild discomfort as she avoids the spikey bits, but it isn't enough to prick her deep enough to bleed. they were just ticklish. "so" she utters as she begins to dig up the roots "what does this aloe do?" she didn't know there were so many plants out there with different uses.

the aloe she knew, the smaller one, was for burns and soothing. was cape aloe the same, or would Erevu correct her mind? "almost..." she breathes, realizing it wasn't roots but a stock of bark she was pulling up with her claws. the aloe seemed to be like a tree - it had a hard body. "okay" she sits back again, giggling "I think we need that seashell..." gesturing to the trunk, she grins. it'd be easier to cut it down than dig it up.

Despite his maw wrapped around the top of the aloe, his teal eyes still had an angle to see Willoughby trying to fit her paws into the tight space. He was a bit worried, the last thing he wanted was for her paws to get caught and them have to worm her out of that situation.

It seemed it was caught further than they thought and Erevu released the plant with a airy laugh. "Of course, why wouldn't it be difficult? Our luck hmm?" He shook his head in amusement before he remembered her question as well. "Aloe does a lot, almost too much to name- the liquid we can press out of it treats burns and infections." He offered up with knowledge, not finding her questions in the least annoying- it actually made him happy. She was curious to know more about his art and he was all for it.

"Here, you take this spot and i'll try to cut at it from the bottom. Don't pull too hard or else you'll fall back with it when it gets released." He then made move to get the sharp shell she had pointed out, and moved to a better angle with the rocks where he could narrowly fit with the sharp object. He waited for her to get a grip before proceeding anymore.

he is patient and kind, telling her more than she should know about herbs and plants. she listens better now, knowing he didn't have to tell her anything but still does. Erevu goes to collect the shell, cautioning her to hold onto the aloe tightly. Willoughby wiggles closer, her eyes focusing on a specific point before reaching out with her teeth. the maiden grips as best she could, gaze flickering back to the medic as he returns.

she tries not to hold it too tightly, but knows her smaller size... well, Erevu quickly tries to finish off the plant's trunk. she knows that no matter what she does, she'll be tumbling backward. and she does; when the finishing touch is done, Willoughby yanks the remainder of the aloe out. she lets out a squeak and rolls onto her rear, still holding the aloe. but she didn't tumble right over.

"got it!" she calls out, muffled.

Angeling himself to get between the rocks wasn't an easy feat, but he managed to get a good grip on the shell and between the rocks soon enough without much trouble. He worked then to cut at the bark, the sharp shell proving to be useful for he soon cut through and the next thing he knew he was hearing Willoughby's adorable squeak sounding out through the air.

He let go of the shell with a loud laugh as he lifted his frame and peered over at her from the otherside of the rock. "Told you so!" He bragged, shaking his head but was overall proud of them for getting the aloe together. He walked around the rock and neared her, head attempting to lower down in an effort to help nudge her up gently, but only if she allowed such a close contact in the first place.

"I think we can score some of that Seaweed by the waters too... and maybe after take a dip? The sun is nice out today," He offered up a plan, wanting them to be able to have fun and enjoy each other's company even more by doing a variety of activities. He began to move towards the Seaweed then, awaiting her to accompany him but already eyeing which strands he was going to pull from the waters.

"heeeeeey" she has placed the aloe on the ground, allowing Erevu to help her up and she turns on him. playfully, mind you, lowering her body to the ground and shaking her tail. the woman's silver eyes narrow "it's not attractive in a man to tell a lady he told her so!" stretching forward, she snaps the air with her jaws in a mighty dramatic huff. he's already turning away - whether he heard or had a retort ready was beyond her. the mention of swimming was lifted into the air between them. her eyes shoot back to full roundness.

"Race you!" she caws immediately, feeling like a cub again. not perturbed by the previous tumble, Willoughby darts forward. Erevu is checking the seaweed - this Jewel lady will have plenty of herbs! - as she darts past him. her smaller size gives her agility over the larger man. "ha!" the maiden's paws hit wet sand as she jumps in. Much like she had with Dravite at the hot spring, she has no shame when it comes to flopping like a fish.

Her actions only stirred a playful energy in Erevu, something that was just as foreign to him. Having been in the study of herbs since he was a cub, he never got time to 'play' or enjoy tussling around with others.

He had been focused on the strands of seaweed, already plucking a few with his maw and setting them to the side, repeating this a few times to get a good gather of them when he heard her buzz past him. His head snapped up, and a challenging grin spread over his golden lips. He dropped the last strand of seaweed and swiftly lurched forward after her. "Don't you let me catch you!" He playfully warned aloud, large paws digging into the sand to try and give his body momentum, his frame soon hitting the water and feeling it dampen his skin. Erevu pushed forward, his tongue lolling out of his mouth in a pure display of happiness, all while he aimed to catch up to the peach woman, and if he managed to get close enough he'd try and grab at her with his paws to pull her close to him.
