the woman waits on baited breath for a few moments, eyes never moving far from the squabbling hogs, until her pride-mates began to filter in around her. she regarded each with a look of gratitude and warmth, her lips upturning into the silhouette of an endearing smile, before she felt that the group was ready to begin. "yes, only two. let's split into two groups, and catch them down by the water's edge." nymeria offered the suggestion lowly, her voice soft and tamed upon the wind as to not disturb the senseless prey. she would wait a few moments more, ensuring that they were all on the same page with the simple, yet sure-to-be effective, plan, before sinewy muscles would coil and propel the woman off and down towards the right side of the pair.

thankfully, the battle was a quick and almost effortless one, with both warthogs succumbing to the power and poise of the hunting party -- a blessed feast, surely kissed by the whims of maua. by the end of it, nymeria stood surrounded by her kin, chest swollen in pride, as she attempted to slow the adrenaline pounding fervently within her ears. "thank you, everyone -- take a moment to treat yourselves." airy tones exhaled, bliss poignant across her gaze as she opt to settle in a seated position, giving everyone an opportunity to feast, before moving the remainder of the carcasses back to the cache. exit.

More of the pride would descend, as expected, and Demetria would give each of them a glance and a smile in turn. Then, taking @Nymeria's lead, she slunk down into the long grass and made her way toward the pair. They were blessed, really, to have so many members take an active interest in working towards the betterment of the pride as a whole. Numbers played a big advantage in this sort of thing, after all. The scuffle was quick and bloody, and when it was all over the lioness shot a grin over at the High Sovereign. Don't mind if I do. She'd savour a mouthful or two, sating her hunger for now, before - after lingering for a time to ensure everyone had taken their fill - picking up an unoccupied flank and taking it back to the stores.

To be successful admist her kin was highly unsurprising and she expected nothing less than to be surrounded by victory on this day. Their execution was performed nicely and as safely as possible with no harm nor injury to any, Talisa made sure of it was she used the time after the kill to look over her companions without pushing into their personal space. No blood had been shed by a lion today and by that, she could make it out to be a good day's work. Taking a moment to reach forward and bow her head and recite her own words; as always, she never expected anyone to assist her with such a task nor did they have to wait for her to finish.

A gentle prayer given to Maua for their bountiful gift and for their gratitude at having received such a fine offering and without struggle. For in this moment, the newly appointed Noble chose not to feast in this moment. Mostly for she felt more inclined to allow her kin to eat first and foremost but it wouldn't feel right to not eat if Nymeria didn't. In the very least, she found it was a smart move to save as much as they could for their caches. Only when those gathered had their fill and everyone was content did she assist where she could with the removal of their divine sacrifice. exit!

His heart raced. His mind soared.There were moments in the hunt, running along side and working with his family, that he forgot himself. He was a child, he had unbridled joy and in it he let his energy unleash and his soul took flight. Each one of the Brook pride had their role, took their part, and together they were an unstoppable team. Today was not a prize as big as their last but no less important. Food was food to a hungry belly and the act of hunting together had value regardless of the prize. He felt close to his kin, felt close to Maua and the earth. And so as he slowed to a gentle jog behind the rest he felt the good sort of tired in his muscles and bones. Reward for a work well done, his heavy breathing rising into chorus with the others of the pride while the smell of their hot breath mingled with blood. Today they eat, today they rest. He was particularly looking forwards to the nap that came after a hunt, belly full and given to the sun to warm.

Nymeria was in charge and so Myrcella directed her attention to the orders that came from the lioness. She did not see her brother among those who had gathered, but there were enough lions to take down whatever prey might manage to come their way. Warthogs appeared on the dinner plate today. Sharp eyes darted between those gathered, her clay form sprung to hunt with one of the groups, low and steady as she had joined her pride mates in a silent manner. No relationships were set in stone; secrets hid in the woodwork of Myrcella's being. These beasts were not ones she particularly knew.

Before her thoughts could settle into any pattern they had begun the hunt. Instincts swarmed over any initial thoughts, her limbs had pumped in the efficient way of a predator's well-oiled machinery. It didn't take the pride long to down the warthogs. That sense of glory as her claws had wrapped into flesh brought Myrcella to the depths of some demon within, brought satisfaction as they had downed the meals in the din of screams, fallen silent not long after in the calm of death. Afterwards, she had stood with her head bowed in prayer to the generous Creator.

Maua, thank you for this bounty. May we continue to flourish under your humble generosity.

Only once her prayer had been offered, and those of higher rank had taken there fill, had Myrcella taken part in the feast. Speckled body always on the outskirts of those gathered, always watchful of her pride members as if they all harbored secrets. Perhaps they did. As was the way of individuals, carnivores waiting their turns at the chess board, either pawns or knaves, sometimes with the wily underhand of backhanded treachery.

She was ever a quiet observer, choosing who might fulfill her emptiness. Just as quiet to slip away from those she'd shared a meal with. -exit

Tulia and the rest fought against the two unfortunate creatures who set their faith by trespassing into their territory. And the took down went pretty quick as she went after one until both perished in Maua's kin claws. New catches for the stores, for the pride's betterment. "Good work everyone," That was all she said as she licked the tiny bits of blood that stained her maw from the aid she gave to the hunt. Once everything was done she nodded to each one of her kin before starting to walk away. Ready to continue with her duties as Lead Medic. Exit
