Summer
Summer is in full swing now, with clear skies, warm nights, and ample sunshine! As such, the deserts begin to grow dry, the shores remain a blissful escape, the north is spared with cooling winds, and humidity continues to rise in the jungle. Rain and storms are long forgotten troubles by now, which is both a virtue and a vice during the heat of the season.

It appeared that there was still a lot for Nadia to learn about this place. She had been led to this foreign land, believed to have seen it in a dream, but when she had managed to make it here she hadn't been expecting to see just how vast it was. Already it had become apparent that there were numerous prides but aside from that there seemed to be native lions that called this place home as well. It was a bit confusing and intricate, but something that she was determined to get a handle on. The ebony woman moved across the shore, the smell of salt and brine heavy in the air around her. Her dark eyes scanned her surroundings, moving from the waves to the obsidian sand before her, and finally resting on the large towers that jutted out paces before her. The shore was an interesting location, but one that thankfully wasn't claimed by anyone. Nadia was thankful for that as she quite liked it here, she decided. Another inhale of air around her and with it came the scent of another, curiously she let out a chuff, mostly to see if there was anyone else out there to answer her.

The gentle roll of the ocean in the distance was a sweet sound to the brute who decided to stroll the shoreline. His paws sifted through the sand with ease, as he had walked this beach many times during his growth in Amaryllis. However, he had not remembered it to be as frequented by others. Alas, it would be something the brute was forced to adjust to as the outsiders came in waves.
The chuff nabbed his attention and caused his head to rise so that his gaze lingered further ahead than just a few feet in front of him. It is there, only slightly blocked by a sand dun, that he spied the dark lioness. She had already let it be known she knew another was there, he felt it rude to turn and leave now. So he stepped into better view as he approached. A chuff of his own as he came. He stopped only when he felt he was at an appropriate distance from lioness- being strangers. "Hello." He was never very good at breaking the ice.

The more time she spent here the more Nadia began to think that this shoreline was the most interesting place she had step foot on to date. The dark sand underfoot, the towers in the distance, and the rush of the waves in the background was oddly calming to the obsidian woman. And eventually a chuff was returned to her, causing her ears to flick forwards and her dark eyes to scan the shoreline once more. She shifted her weight, lengthening her strides ever so slightly until eventually the form of the stranger came into view. His mane was a stark difference from his body, along with the freckles that dappled his face. "Hello." He spoke to which Nadia dipped her own head before speaking, "Hello indeed. Are you from around these parts, then?" She asked him, pulling to a halt only a few paces away from him. Again, the roar of the ocean beside them had an eerily calming affect upon her as she stood before the stranger. But Nadia knew she would only get answers if she asked questions, and for the most part this man seemed reasonable enough.

Gaze washed over the dark lioness in a rush. He aimed to not let them linger in any place too long, aside from when he searched out the eyes of the stranger. He was not fond of rudeness and would avoid it for the time being. She was in luck that his mood was less sour than usual.
Her question brought forward his ears from their laid position against his skull. His head bobbed a moment before lips pulled apart once more. "This was near my home long ago, yes." Before he joined the pride of Vermeda, he had roamed as a rogue with his family. Back then the fear of 'claims' and such just did not exist in the land Maua had provided to them. Until recently. "I reside further north now. You?" Though he could already tell she was no native, he wondered if she had settled somewhere here as well.

The man had done well to distract her from the new environment that she found herself in. And his appearance alone was interesting, unique to the eye. Nadia found she enjoyed the dapples that crossed his face, they were a pleasant change from the darker backdrop of his coat. It made it easier for her to focus directly upon him and less on all of the background noise around them. "this was near my home long ago, yes. I reside further north now, you?" He asked her in one rush and she sighed, "My home is long gone now. Though I can't help but feel as if I was led here. You have been around these parts all your life then?" She asked curiously, not prodding him for information but simply allowing the conversation to go on casually. It was nice to have a conversation with someone else after being alone for so long.

Tyrion smiled at the lioness. She has as pretty as she seemed to be kind. His eyes lingered over her a moment, but he did well to try and keep them from doing so for too long. He would hate to be seen as rude or too forward in her company. "Maua can be known to do such a thing." And perhaps it was their immortal that had rightfully led everyone from the outside straight to his passage. Or perhaps it had been by chance and accident. Most cases were unknown still.
Eyes drifted from her to the ocean waves once more, but it was only for a moment. His interest in her far outweighed the scenery that he had seen time and time again over the years. "I was born and raised here in Amaryllis. My family had a claim on a small densite in the southern part of the Celosia Fields, but we were hardly an established pride." Just a family that remained banded together. It was until later in his life that he joined the official Vermeda.

"maua can be known to do such a thing." So the pink figure in her dreams had been real then? Nadia had thought that it had been strange, but she also knew she couldn't ignore the urge to find this place. It outweighed any fears or worries that she had, though realistically Nadia hardly feared anything at all. If anything coming to this place had been a blessing in disguise, she had been able to find loved ones that she thought were long gone. But now it was nice to have a name for the face that had brought her here. "I'm glad they have a name.. And here I thought I was just hallucinating." She murmured then before eventually pulling her haunches beneath her to sit. There was no need to be so formal, she was confident that his man wouldn't harm her and she vice versa. Her ears flicked forward, listening as he explained the land that was his home. "Tell me, what is it like seeing all of these newcomers? From what I've gathered there have been many, other than myself of course." She said then calmly, trying to gauge his reaction. Immediately her mind thought of the native woman she sat next to at one of the challenges, and how she had cursed the land the men had dared try and lay claim on. Were all natives just as disgruntled as she was, or did they have a different view towards the newcomers?

It was a small shock that this stranger seemed to know of the immortal when he named them. Eyes narrowed a fraction, but only in a curious manner as he attempted to stare deeper in a failed attempt to discover how. As if the other's eyes held the key to this knowledge. But alas, he only found two dark pools that seemed to pull him in. He'd have to be careful not to drown within them.
Eyes dance away for a brief moment, only to return as he watched her take a seat. It was nice to know that she found no discomfort in his company. He too would suit as limbs tucked during his reclined onto his rump. His tail casually curled around his thigh and paws. "I can not say that the recent influx does not cause me to worry. There are many things to fear when strangers flood into new lands and begin to take it for themselves- not always in a kind fashion." He spoke openly and honestly with the dark lioness. Already the natives were aware of many fights that had broken out among these new kinds.
"Would you not do the same if roles were reversed?" What if this was their sacred hidden homeland that was all of sudden invaded and claimed left and right until nothing more was left except a tiny parcel? "However, I trust in Maua and if they had not wanted them here, It would have not been allowed." Faith. He had to cling to it. If he didn't, he feared where his mind would wander.

It was easy to sit in his company and Nadia was glad that he was humoring her. He didn't have to sit with her and delve out information, but he chose to and for that Nadia was grateful. Her ears flicked as she listened to him explain things and she could understand where he was coming from. She unlike most of the newcomers in the land had laid low, she didn't want to cause ripples. Realistically this place belonged to others and the ebony lioness tried her best to respect them. He asked her if she would do the same if roles were reversed and for that she paused before she answered, "I've been in a similar situation in my homeland. It was partly why I moved on to here. But if there is one thing that I do know, these aggressive individuals will destroy themselves. Their greed will overcome them." She spoke solemnly then. "Foolish me, all this time I didn't ask your name? You may call me Nadia." She said to him with a small smile before continuing, "And for what it's worth, I am sorry others are not more respectful. I see the way things have happened, it does not sit well with me." She said coolly. Nadia had paid very close attention to everything and if there was one thing she knew it was that she didn't want to make an enemy out of any of the natives here.
