Why was he out here after being beaten by the very woman he was tracking? A sudden memory of her hips swaying as she had left him made his nostrils flare. Right. He doubted he could use the same charms on her as he did Alyvia and he actually didn't intend to. He felt what he had with Alyvia was a bit deeper than what he was after here. Carefully he moved through the badlands, the red tinted rocks making it easier for him to blend in. He was also taking his time to lightly scratch any surface that was large enough to make a marker. Nothing extreme just a 'x' to mark it against weathering. The tracks had trailed off and now he was following purely by scent. A low rumble in his chest came forth while he whispered to himself, his eyes darting across the landscape trying to pick her out if she even twitched. helah enjoyed the sheer rocky slopes here, she enjoyed that there were narrow and treacherous trails that led to the small cavern she had claimed as a den. less entries for an enemy to sneak up without her knowledge- or strangers. or whatever this male was. from high up, she spotted him, moving quietly across. he was smart enough to track her, but she wondered... had he considered looking up?

she would move quietly, exiting the cavern, her paws making near no sound on the rock as she quietly and stealthily moved down, trying to make no sound as she did so. when she neared a ledge that was just above him, she would lay down quietly, before leaning just slightly over the edge, before crooning. "and what brings you to my home, handsome?" she really played up on the innocent look, as she stared down at him- like she wasn't a level of insanity that perhaps this male hadn't met before.

Pausing to take in a scent he could smell her but, where? Before he could glance up her crooning voice made his head snap up. Yellow eyes narrowed then relaxed, though his face seemed rather neutral. Oh he had heard her but he wasn't entirely confident giving a reply while below her. A soft snort and he moved to make the climb up to join her. Minding to give her space on the ledge, keeping a good distance between them. "Do you always flatter the opponents you beat?" he asked with a flash of a smirk on his maw. Tripfire looked around briefly before looking back at her, "You live out here? With the dust and vultures?" he asked doubting her honesty, surely she could do better in a pride. If she hadn't acted so nuts in their fight he would have even suggested the Bluffs. He hadn't answered her question yet, he was buying time while he thought of a good reply. Something not cheesy and definitely not something overly rude. "talk"

she idly lays there until he finally seems to realize where she was when she spoke. a lesser female may have laughed, but her expression doesn't change from an innocent yet lazy sort of look. he climbs up, joining her on the ledge, and she merely rolls onto her side, watching him as he speaks. "only the handsome ones." she replies easily, with a sly grin. or the beautiful ones, she supposes- she wasn't so shy nor foolish that she couldn't acknowledge that a female was beautiful when she saw one who was.

he then asks if she lives out here with the dust and vultures, and she chuckles, her eyes wide. "where else is a lady to reside with no handsome male to care for her?" honeyed, sweet words, as she studies him. "the vultures aren't that bad, a little loud with the ruckus they cause, but not that bad." she adds- though in truth, she rather despised the foul smelling beasts. "what's your name, handsome?"

Tripfire gave a dismissive snort of her explanation, though her repetitive use of the word 'handsome' was starting to grind on him. Yellow eyes narrowed momentarily studying her before he let his gaze flick out over the lands. Keeping a ear flicked back towards her listening in case she moved suddenly. He wasn't completely relaxed in her presence, and he doubted he would be. "Even the ugly can keep damsels safe," he drawled smoothly. Watching some birds in the distance before he turned his attention back to her. She had laid on her side and he felt a hunger in his stomach, wanting to come beside her. However he dared not to. Not yet anyway. "Honey, sweetie, cutie pie..." he began with tones dripping in honey, locking his gaze with her as if to say 'Change it up, see how annoying it is?' Cracking a wide smile he shook his mane a bit, "Tripfire," time to turn on a bit of the charm, "ma jolie gâterie". Looking her over carefully, for any sign his accent annoyed her. If it did he would have to make the decision to either contiue annoying her or stop."What about you? What do I call you by gorgeous?" he said opting to use the common tongue to compliment her. Though that was quite the flip from when they first met and he had commenter about her ears... "tall"

when he speaks, it is perhaps not what she expects but a wide grin encompasses her mouth at his words. "I'm sure the ugly's claws are just as sharp but they're far less appreciative to look at." She drawls slowly. "They serve their purpose as fodder well enough, though." She adds thoughtfully, with a saccharine sweet smile as she looks at him. leave him to wonder which category he may truly fall under in her mind.

her grin only widens as he speaks honeyed words, and she watches him- lazily. he finally introduces himself as 'tripfire', and speaks again in a language she is unfamiliar with- though she supposed it sounded good coming from his tongue. "call me rosette," she purrs, batting her eyelashes at him. "i don't recognize this tongue you speak- what is it?" she asks of him.

ooc: -glares at for making me look up a word- how dare you make me use my brain... lol While she had her point about the appearance he knew all too well how deceiving appearances could be. It was actually really hard for him to not casually dip into his usual asshole self and come up with a sarcastic comment. He didn't want to blow this, though exactly what this was he wasn't entirely sure. "Everyone is fodder at some point," he drawled out sounding rather philosophical in the moment. Oh boy, he wanted to call her many things but 'Rosette' was not something he had in mind. Eyes narrowed a bit at her studying her expression, "A nickname?" he asked with a curl on his lips. He had given her is actual name but he had a feeling this wasn't perhaps her true name? A nickname suited it better. "My families" he answered coyly, she was not the only one who could dodge questions and feed open ended answers. Shifting to move a bit closer to her, he was cautious with this one. With Alvyia he could already be pressed against her and showering her with affection. However Tripfire was glad for the exercise in patience, it could help him in the long run of things. "You dance as well as you fight?" he asked with a little flash of his teeth in a smile "tall"

when he speaks, she tilts her head ever so slightly as she considers his words, and what they mean to him. 'everyone is fodder at some point,' he says, but she is quick to smirk in response. "i wouldn't say everyone- there are those who are the masters of the fodder -- as well." helah considered herself a lot of things in her life, but fodder? no.

there's a curl to his lips as if he doubts the honesty of her nickname. batting her eyelashes, as she looks up at him she speaks. "do you not think it fits?" she stretches, showing her pink splashes on her belly. surely, rosette is a fitting name for such a beauty, as she was.

in turn, he doesn't give her a direct answer about the strange tongue that he speaks, and she merely smirks at him again, her eyes lazily roving over his body, as she sighs ever so softly. "dance?" she questions, as if she does not know what such a thing is.

ever so carefully, she watches him- as he nears her. she is like a serpent, coiled to strike- but only if he makes her. while she watches him, she feigns innocence, but the confusion she feels about the term- dancing is real. what on earth, was dancing?

but, a nip towards her tail tuff, and the meaning was clear- dancing must be what this strange male called it. the most wanton of desires, the most natural of things.

Carefully, but intentionally, she would roll over onto her back, staring up at him innocently. "and if I told you I was nothing but a wee innocent maiden?" she inquires, her eyes studying him.

"would you just take what you desire or would your honeyed words be a ploy to get me to surrender?" she asks, looking up at him.

"what if I told you, I don't like honey words or honeyed actions and to 'dance' with me- as you call it... is to surrender to me?"
